Let me start out by saying the obvious... This is a chain restaurant. This is not a tiny mom and pop shop where everything is a family recipe and the family comes out personally to ask you how your dinner was. That being said... The food was flavorful, plentiful and surprisingly exceptional. Being that it was a chain restaurant, I kept my expectations to a minimum. I am happy to report that Wagamama far exceeded them! The appetizers were colorful and thoughtfully presented. The entrées offered generous portions and a full flavor pallet. I recommend the coconut ice cream and chocolate for dessert. THE DEAL: the restaurant was full of college students...they know where to find a good deal! read more

Food is always great. Our go to lunch place whenever we are in the Pru. Lovely service. Sometimes there can be a wait - it's very busy most of the weekends. Our server today was a Jenny! Patient and knowledgeable about the menu. Thanks Jenny! Tables and seats work well for our 3 year old. Comfortable enough. Can't get enough of chicken katsu curry! read more

I've eaten at Wagamama a lot over the years, and always look forward to revisiting an old favorite and the interesting spices and flavors I remember from my days living in London. Tonight I drove out of my way to Prudential to hit up some of my favs. Unfortunately it was a bad experience and big let down. The Boa bun's appetizer was good, but arrived about 5 minutes after my main dish had arrived and I was working on that, until I hit a land mine. It felt like a sharp rock, luckily I didn't bite into it full strength otherwise could have broken a tooth easily. I spat it out on the table, and kept eating cautiously. Not long after the manager was walking by and enquired if I was enjoying my meal, I explained about the piece of bone in my chicken, and long story shorter he looked at it for a while and then wanted to show his head chef. He came back later and said it was mostly cartilage with a piece of sharp bone attached, which should never be in food you are serving. And that was kinda it, I made my way through the rest of my meal cautiously, and it just didn't really have much flavor, felt bland, and after all that i was over it. Nice guy, didn't actually apologize I don't think, just shared my amazement that it was in my meal. Didn't comp my bone in chicken noodle dish, or offer anything. Just kinda let me feel the let down of the meal and shitty experience trying to eat it. Probably won't be back. read more

Simple, straightforward, a touch pricey, but otherwise great. The takeout staff were really great.

Wagamama Prudential was an awesome surprise. Overall, Wagamama places are always okay, but Prudential was special. Our waitress Fran was exceptional. No BS. Just honest effective service. Oh. And the food was very good too. Shrimp yaki soba, short rib, bang bang cauliflower ... happy. Extra shout out to the hostess. Change of schedule.. coming 45 minutes early .. she texted me within 12 minutes that a table is ready. read more

My boyfriend and I are big fans of ramen and katsu and we were craving ramen while shopping in the building. The hostess was able to seat us right away and our server was incredibly welcoming and friendly. They have a nice atmosphere and we enjoyed the interior design. We ordered the Shirodashi Pork Ramen and the Chicken Katsu Curry. It may be because we have pretty high standards for Japanese food but we felt that both were just mediocre. Their dishes are very Americanized and didn't taste authentic. Nonetheless, we wouldn't say the food tasted bad either. Simply just average. They do however have a great selection of green juices. We also liked how they carried the Lucky Buddha beer which comes in a fun bottle. All in all, it's a decent place for a quick bite if you're craving ramen and don't want to wait in line for Santouka. read more

Look, folks, if you're going to call it "Duck Salad" I would hope to have more than a tease when it comes to the amount of bird used. If it were me, I would call it "Salad topped with Duck Skins" I realize duck isn't the cheapest of ingredients, but for a ~$15 bowl of salad, don't skimp. The bowl is deceptively large, I could fit both my palms on top of it. The duck you see in the picture, that's it. Don't get me wrong, the duck and the salad were delicious. The duck was cooked and seasoned perfectly and was very tender. The salad itself was great too. I liked that they used a nice variety of greens and not just a bowl of lettuce. There were some other fresh ingredients in addition to the greens, I think among these were some onions and quinoa. I also found myself a fan of the dressing. The amount was perfect, and the flavor was very mild but helped round everything out. It added a very pleasant sweetness and acidity to the dish. As for spice, there were some paper thin slices of hot pepper. These were far and few, but for good reason. They added just the right amount of heat to the salad. Don't worry if you have very low heat tolerance unless, you eat these things straight, they will warm you, not burn you, though you may taste it a bit more than me. Free green tea is a nice touch, tasty too! With everything else: service, cleanliness, speed, I have no complaints. read more

Me and my friends comes 30th lunch within Anime Boston. Crowded customer with terrible service, no one is taking care of us. Very bad food. Chicken firecrackers is salty, the pepper, snow pea I feel like they are undone. Spicy Pork Ramen is fishy and I believe they use instant noodle ramen. Korean chicken wing is salty, overcooked. The food in this restaurant is a parody of Asian food. I feel like the tacos next to it taste even better. read more

Perfect spot to grab a quick dinner. The food is well done and the wait staff are great. I will be back when I am in the area.

A favorite stop whenever I'm in downtown Boston! Wagamama never disappoints as a satisfying lunch after walking around Newbury and the Prudential. I really enjoyed the chicken katsu I got. It was very tender and flavorful. A surprising stand out for me was actually the edamame as I really enjoyed the chili garlic salt they used to season. Definitely recommend! read more

Food was great. They were very accommodating with picky kids too. We got edamame and asked for no chili on it and so they just salted them. Gyoza was yummy! Dipping sauce was really good. Ordered the pork ramen and asked for all toppings on the side. They even put bolgolgi sauce on the side for us. Kids really enjoyed the ramen. I got pork belly Bao buns. My friends and I originally had another restaurant in mind for my friends birthday but we weren't able to follow through with the plans. We ended up reserving a table for 4 at Wagamama and got a table in less than 20 minutes. My other friends sent in a cake to surprise the birthday girl at the end of our meal. Veronica was great, excellent, and timely service. Would definitely come back. Great food as well

this was my first time at any of the wagamama locations and i didn't really set any expectations. it's a pretty basic place to get some asian food, but it's nothing super special. their food was just okay so i can't really see myself coming back anytime soon. - notes - both cash and card are accepted! - atmosphere - this location is located inside prudential center in an area surrounded by some other food spots. there's some tables set up outside the restaurant, but the inside of the restaurant is quite spacious with plenty of tables. i really liked the dimmer lighting and overall ambiance inside! it's a great place to take some friends or family for a meal. - overall experience - we came on a sunday evening at around 7:00 pm and the restuarant was pretty busy. we had to wait around 45 minutes to get seated and another 15 minutes for our orders to be taken. all of our food came out within 20 minutes, so we were there for quite some time. the service here is pretty good though and all the servers are friendly! 3/27/22 -chicken ramen: their chicken ramen had pieces of grilled chicken, seasonal greens, bamboo shoots, and half a soft-boiled tea-stained egg. the noodles felt like they could've been cooked a bit more, and they didn't really soak up the chicken broth that well. i wish i could've tasted more of the dashi and miso flavors in the soup but it was kind of bland in my opinion. the chicken itself was just a tad bit dry, and way too salty. this bowl of ramen is definitely one of the lighter ramen options on their menu which is why it might've been lacking flavor, but i still didn't think it was worth the $15.50. Atmosphere: 4/5 Food: 2/5 Service: 3.5/5 Atmosphere -- The atmosphere at Wagamama was pretty okay, with an open kitchen. However, the restaurant was too busy and noisy, and the servers were running around the restaurant. Food -- Seriously? The kimchi fried chicken rice was terrible. It was very sour (because of the Kimchi) but also very sweet; it wasn't a normal fried rice. I had higher expectations. The Wagamama ramen was too salty in my opinion so I decided to pour water in it. The ramen tastes fine, though. Service -- Okay, so maybe the service would be higher, but I had trouble communicating with the server. Also, when we called a server, we had to wait 15 minutes. I understand it is because the restaurant was very busy, but 15 minutes was a too long wait time in my opinion. I would not personally visit Wagamama again when I come to Boston. read more

Inside the Prudential building. Popped in for a quick dinner with no reservations on 4th of July. Super friendly staff! Took us right in. Music is very loud, which I'm not a big fan of. Kitchen needs a better expiditer. My entrée came out first with a solid 5 minutes before my husband's. Then after eating half our meal the appetizer came out. We had to remind the waiter about the order. My guess is it was forgotten. That being said it was all very tasty and we were pretty happy. read more
