The hostess was able to seat us right away and our server was incredibly welcoming and friendly. They have a nice atmosphere and we enjoyed the interior design. We ordered the Shirodashi Pork Ramen and the Chicken Katsu Curry. It may be because we have pretty high standards for Japanese food but we felt that both were just mediocre. Their dishes are very Americanized and didn't taste authentic. Nonetheless, we wouldn't say the food tasted bad either. Simply just average. They do however have a great selection of green juices. Look, folks, if you're going to call it "Duck Salad" I would hope to have more than a tease when it comes to the amount of bird used. If it were me, I would call it "Salad topped with Duck Skins" I realize duck isn't the cheapest of ingredients, but for a ~$15 bowl of salad, don't skimp. The bowl is deceptively large, I could fit both my palms on top of it. The duck you see in the picture, that's it. Don't get me wrong, the duck and the salad were delicious. The duck was cooked and seasoned perfectly and was very tender. The salad itself was great too. I liked that they used a nice variety of greens and not just a bowl of lettuce. There were some other fresh ingredients in addition to the greens, I think among these were some onions and quinoa. I also found myself a fan of the dressing. The amount was perfect, and the flavor was very mild but helped round everything out. It added a very pleasant sweetness and acidity to the dish. As for spice, there were some paper thin slices of hot pepper. These were far and few, but for good reason. They added just the right amount of heat to the salad. Don't worry if you have very low heat tolerance unless, you eat these things straight, they will warm you, not burn you, though you may taste it a bit more than me. I didn't do my research before coming here but I found out that their ramens are the most popular. Unfortunately I wanted to do a a donburi bowl at the time instead of a ramen. Service was great but server did not inform me of an additional charge for a fried egg and told me that the dish I ordered came with it. The donburi bowl was kind of mid, the meat was only a little bit and kind of dry and was not worth the price. The ramens were also very expensive which was kind of off putting for me.
