Eggs cooked correctly, bacon was too, Belgian waffle was very good- fluffy and sweet. Pancake was basic. Overall, the whole experience was basic honestly. Came here Sunday May 3rd around 1pm. Was busy but not completely full where you had to wait for a table. We sat down and waited for our server to take our order. It took our server about 20 mins to come over and take our order. So we put in our food order when the server came by to take our drink order. Food took about 40 mins from when we ordered to when we got our food. I used to work in restaurants (the busiest of restaurants) and know that you should staff more, prep more, and place larger food orders in anticipation of being fully booked friday night till sunday night. I ordered gumbo. My niece got biscuits and gravy. The gumbo was pretty good except would have liked the roux a little thicker. The gravy on the biscuits was lacking in flavor. I love diners and love supporting locally owned businesses. Maybe some staff called off this particular day because the service was slow. But I wil be back.
