In our way back from Dallas this was listed as "the best Waffle House in Texas", so of course we had to stop. In fact it's the best Waffle House we've ever been to! If you're not familiar with Waffle House it's truly a culinary experience! The menu is huge, cheap, fast and prepared in front of you. This WH was extremely clean and inviting. The food was perfect, I'm ready to do it again. And, the lovely Evelyn was so pleasant and went out of her way for us. If you have the opportunity, don't be a snob, just savor it. read more

Come in and ordered my waffles to go. Had to bring something back for the kids since I went to have fun in Austin without them. I tried to order on the phone and just pick up on my way down south, but nobody was manning the phones. That sucks. The manager at the time, I believe his name was Dante? He was awesome. Super helpful. Beware though- they seriously up charge for to go orders. An extra 20% is robbery. I understand the tip, well not really- because a tip is for the extra service and there's not any extra functions being performed. And charging more for preparing the food is still under the same job duties so there's no logical reason to charge more for the same amount of work. Buyer beware. read more

We came to Waffle House for breakfast. We enjoy going to this chain because of its familiarity. You know when you order your hash browns a certain way you are sure to get them exactly like you ordered not to mention the entree itself. Plus you know the staff is always welcoming and friendly. This location may need a refresher on the company's "good food and fast" motto. We were not welcomed with a greeting although the staff looked friendly and 2 of the 4 orders ordered were not as ordered. One the cheese ass left out completely even though the entree was cheesesteak breakfast and the other entree the hash browns were not as ordered "scattered ". The onions were grilled but not jalapeños and gravy was served way after meal was. So needless to say we may not be returning. :( read more

THIS IS WORST WAFFLE HOUSE YOU WILL EVER EAT‼ I came and automatically it was bad off rip , there was only one employee managing the whole waffle house which had about 3 parties at the time , after a while they look our orders we got a steak bowl , hash browns , blueberry waffle and a strawberry waffle & 2 other employees came to help cook , I had ordered apple juice and they gave me an expired apple juice , which i then asked to switch to a lemonade. When i first got my cheese steak bowl it was extremely cold & the cheese was unmelted , I then asked for them to warm it up & then all they did was flip it upside down , they then brought my waffles which looked sorry , weak & burnt which made it extremely crunchy, It then took them 10 minutes to bring out my other hash brown plate (didn't take a pic of) and after that THEY TOOK 50 MINUTES ON MY STRAWBERRY WAFFLE ‼‍ , Keep in mind at this time was other guests who arrived and ate n finished their whole meals before i got one of my waffles. The food was definitely sub par for all Waffle House locations. I don't normally order chocolate chip topping on my waffle, but this location undercooked their waffles and felt it needed a coverup. The hash browns here are served cold, as well as the toast. Eggs and sausage were cooked to perfection. The service was below average. The restaurant was overstuffed. I think by 10am, half of the crew needs to go home. My waitress was washing dishes, and doing other tasks. Not once checking on me, and seeing if I needed a coffee refill. I needed a to go order my wife and child. So when I was through eating, I put the to go order in. I asked the waitress if I could get a cup of coffee to go. She said yes, and I will make a separate "to go" ticket that includes a surcharge. $14.50 for the all star combo, ok paid. I asked if she charged me for the to go cup of coffee and she said yes. I asked why? She said to to cups are charged extra. I said that's ridiculous especially since I've been going to WH all over the country and never once charged for a to go cup. I said I only asked for a to go cup, since you never gave me a refill.. This place is busy, but it needs to get it together before I return. Also, I'm still baffled at paying an extra $40 for a cheesesteak hash brown bowl, added onions, and add two over medium eggs with a Dr Pepper. Even though going to Waffle House is never disappointing, this one left a lot to be desired. Drove from San Antonio just to eat here, my order was triple plate of hash-browns, smothered, chunked, capped, and lightly peppered. Along with two chicken breasts and burnt white toast. First came out my wife's order and my toast. Wife's order was correct, my toast was barely toasted, not burnt, then came my hash-browns which was not even a double, let alone a triple plate. Then, almost finished with hash-browns, I asked where my chicken was? He said they were cooking it, I said cancel order since I was finished with hash-browns. Where should I begin.... My family and I went over to WH Kyle on a Sunday night to enjoy some good old fashioned waffles For dessert. This was my first time trying this chain, and A first for my young kids. We go in, and clearly they are busy behind the counter; with a few customers in the store waiting and eating. Our order is taken soon enough, (but could have been more efficient) and ten waffles are on the list. Music is blasting so loud we couldn't hear each other or speak over it. It took 30 minutes for the irritated and rude tall guy flipping waffles to make us some mediocre , soft ass waffles which would've been better as pancakes. The waffle flavor is ok; it's reminiscent of a lightly sweetened cake . But the texture was a huge disappointment . We hoped to enjoy crispy, buttery waffle goodness and instead absorbed negative energy by the worker and blaring music which ruined the vibe. I hope they can replace that dude with someone who handles stress much better - no young employee deserves to be yelled at while doing their job no matter how imperfect- and they adjust the volume .. as music does help the ambience. This Waffle House has to do better. I've been a few times already. Grits are always lumpy, scrambled eggs are really fried then stirred after fried. My last visit, a worker was wiping the stainless steel appliances and walls right next to clean plates....where do you think the dirt/trash is going? This Waffle House did not disappoint. It exceeds the standard for sucking. One only goes to Waffle House for poor service and mediocre food, this Waffle House met my expectations fully. From the waitress, who wasn't nice or rude, she just kind of existed, to the chipped and stained/dirty coffee cup, I was thrilled. The restaurant itself wasn't exactly clean nor was it exactly dirty. The waitress forgot half of my friend's order, which was absolutely standard performance for my expectations. My breakfast was mediocre, exactly what I wanted it to be. It wasn't quite correct, (my friend's toast and mine were mixed up) but a quick toast trade and we were in business. Generally the breakfast I ordered is offered with a choice of grits or hash browns, I really wanted grits, this choice wasn't offered by the waitress, so I had hash browns. The waffle was the highlight of the meal. One would expect a good waffle from Waffle House, and they delivered! Over all this experience reminded me why I always forget my Waffle House trips. If you have a burning need for mediocre food and indescribable service (not in a good way) then please go to this Waffle House. My City ham was spoiled and inedible. The manager said it was supposed to smell and taste like that. I have to assume the manager is buying dodgy ham. I have never seen a Waffle House with 15 employees. Even more so, one that is so inefficiently run, while being over staffed. Food came out fast and good. The cooks did a great job. The cook broke our biscuit sandwich and rightfully fired up another biscuit to correct the mistake. The waitress told him don't worry about it "they won't notice" and served us the food. We were 3 feet away at the bar...we heard you. I asked for the new biscuit and the cook hooked it up. The rep who is clearly from corporate, helping get everything established, was no help. Wanted to talk my boyfriend to Waffle House for the first time to experience the hype behind it. Needless to say it was highly disappointing. First, I like Waffle House restaurants, which is why I was surprised and disappointed at this location. I like to read while I eat my breakfast, but at this location if you are alone you can ONLY sit at the bar. No table, not even a small one. I could understand if it was a peak and / or really busy time. However at 9:30-9:45 on a Thursday and not a holiday is bizarre. Sometimes I ride a motorcycle...if you do don't bother there is not enough room at the bar. Nope I guess I am supposed to hang my protective vest on the chair and hold my several hundred dollar helmet on my lap, but you can't do that either as there is no room at the bar for anyone over 120 pounds. Or maybe they don't like non- Mexicano or Disabled Vets or older people. Clearly there was no accommodation or consideration. And this was from the white shirt manager.
