It is a lady there who took my order and she was strung out on drugs. She did not have gloves on I watched her touch my waffle with her bare hands. Better yet what put the icing on the cake is the lady was falling over and even drooled a little on our table. Waffle House is a great tradition across America .. dependable food 24 hours a day. Time tested recipes including Burt's chili which is one of kind when made fresh and by a good cook. But mostly what you come for is the breakfast dishes and I love the waffles. As long as you get a cook that cares the quality is always there and consistent. Nothing to write home about but generally consistent and fills the gap. No complaints with my visits here .. good and consistent food at a good price. read more

I have never been to a bad Waffle House. Sure, it is no Ritz Carlton, but they NEVER mess up the order. My eggs are always cooked exactly as asked, and the coffee is fresh 24/7. I especially love it when my table gets waited by a sassy mid aged lady, it feels homey in my opinion. And this location has all that I love about Waffle House! read more

I came here with a large group of people (11) after a tournament, and the service was not good. Granted, we were a large group, but the chef made some extremely rude comments to us. When we first walked in, there were 3 of us. We let our waitress know that there would be about 10-12 of us, and she told the chef. The chef immediately said, "Oh hell no, I'm not cooking for 12 people. They can go to IHOP" She gave us all death glares the entire time, even before the rest of our group got there. When all of us were there, she was continuing to complain in the kitchen, and said to the last person who walked in, "If one more of you walks in here I'm walking out." We did not feel welcomed in the slightest. This was even worse when she started butting into our conversations and trying to lecture us. There were 2 young kids in the parking lot and one of us commented how cute they were and then another said, "Someone should get their kids" since they had been running out there for a few minutes. The manager said, "Oh sorry those are mine" We didn't mind in the slightest and the manager made a joke about it. It really wasn't a big deal and the manager himself thought it was funny. I'm not sure if the manager went home after that (It was ~9:00 so his shift may have ended) or if he just went into the back area, but we didn't see him after that. We were still laughing about it and the cook came over and started yelling and lecturing us about how rude it was to talk about kids who weren't ours and how inappropriate we were, and told us we should be ashamed of ourselves. Overall, this is not the environment I feel should be expected of any establishment. The food wasn't as good as normal, either. Whether the chef intentionally made it so, I'm not sure. It was not a positive experience, and after our next tournament we will pick somewhere that cares to have our business. Perhaps IHOP. read more

I am a traveling nurse attempting to support your community, taking time away from my family to serve you. I placed a to-go order and the girl taking the order sounded like she was whacked out of her mind trying to understand my very simple order. I walked across the Hampton Inn (where I am staying) parking lot to pick up my order from WH, and when I showed up, one of the cooks had to ask the girl who took my order if she forgot to call my order to them. She aloofly, said, "I guess I did". And told me, "I swear I thought I called your order to them". I asked should I come back in 10-15 min? She said, "yeah, I guess". She appeared very disconnected and out of it. She did not apologize. I ended getting stuck at the hotel for work-related issues and called to see if someone could please walk my order across the parking lot. She said she would not do that, but that I could walk on over and get it myself. She kept cutting me off stating that my order "was ready". Then, she hung up on me! I love Waffle House, but dang! That's rude! She never even offered me a comp or ANYTHING to make up for HER mistake, not that I would have accepted it. I work with the public and I get it. But she is NOT a good reflection of your establishment. Wow. I'm just blown away. My job is no more important than her job, and vise versa, but had she been a patient at the hospital where I am working now, she would have received far better treatment from me than I did from her. My husband and I stopped at the waffle house on N. St. Franklin yesterday for lunch. Despite the nasty floor and dirty tables we found clean spot at the bar. Our waitress took Forever to get our drinks then about 5 minutes later I hear her call out our order to the cook. About 10 minutes after that the cook says are you going to get your order. It was ours and cold. She never once refilled our drinks asked if our food was ok or anything. She was more worried about checking her tables for tips. She walked away empty handed. A family with small children came in or I would have let her know just what I thought. The food was still good despite being cold. I mean the grits didn't even melt the soft butter. We will never eat there again. The manager must have been on vacation. read more
