No longer have chicken sandwich - they gave us ham sandwich and when we went back thru they said they didn't carry anymore - we specifically asked for chicken sandwich and the chick working When we ordered don't tell us and just ordered me a ham sandwich - which by the way - hardly and meat on it - sad that your business has gone so down hill - she didn't even offer a refund of my sandwich - trash can it went!!!!! read more

I absolutely love Pal's. Every time we are in North East Tennessee we go here. I have found me a new favorite sandwich. The chicken sandwich is absolutely delicious. My husband loves the ham sandwich. The hot dogs are a must too. I do think their frenchy fries are a little too salty for me. Definitely try the peachie tea.. amazing read more

On the recommendation of ALL the locals, I stepped into the Johnson City Mall with Pal's on my mind. In the crowded mall food court, I find the red and yellow sign and step up to the counter. I place my order with the bubbly teenage cashier as she recites it into a microphone so the cooks know what to prepare. A minute later, perfection is presented in a brown paper bag in the form of a Sauceburger, Frenchie Fries, and a Peachy Tea. Sauceburger 5/5 Ooey gooey American cheese tops a thin, juicy beef patty. It then gets the special treatment with a slather of a sweet and zesty bbq/ketchup sauce. Sealed between two soft, steamy buns, you will wish you ordered two more. Frenchie Fry 5/5 Crispy, golden shoestring fries sprinkled with a special seasoning salt. Simple, but delicious. Peachy Tea 5/5 This is legit Southern sweet tea. None of that McDonald's mess. It is insanely sweet, but satisfying and refreshing with a nice hint of peach. Please, open up a Pal's in California! read more

Pal's - Frenchie Fry and Sauceburger. Couldn't resist. - Sandwiches Near Me - Johnson City, Tennessee

Pal's is great! I'm not from the area so I was curious to go check it out. I've had smash burger, in&out, whataburger and other chains on the "smaller" side but Pal's beats them all in quality, price and speed. Pal's burger competes with any freshly made burger. A must to go to if you aren't from the area. read more

The fact that 2 Pal's locations are in the "top 20" when you sort by rating in Johnson City is really misleading. Pal's is just decent, if ubiquitous, fast food with a loyal regional following. It's worth checking out for that, but I don't want you to have "Top 20" type expectations. Not even close. Pal's does a couple of things really well. One is efficiency. It is impressive how quickly they can run 9 cars of orders through in a few minutes. If it looks "too busy" don't let that deter you if you are in a hurry. Their slogan "sudden service" is accurate. "Peachy tea" and the "Big Chicken" sandwich are really good. But, the burgers aren't. They are, and I'm being generous here, just OK. It's a local chain, they have a great business model, and usually put clever and inspirational sayings on the marquee. read more

This was my first time trying Pals. And my gosh the first bite I thought I went to heaven. This is such a good restaurant. The service is so quick which was very nice. I would definitely eat here again. This was also my first time in Johnson City TN and I was greeted with delight. If you have never tried Pals highly highly recommended. Nice and clean restaurant as well. read more

Love the sandwiches. The line was long but worth the wait. High quality fast food! Don't be intimidated by the line, it moves fast. read more

I miss this place so much--moving to WA really made me realize how awesome Pal's truly is. Fries are awesome, Big Pal is super, shakes are great. I also love the ham sandwiches--fanfreakingtastic. Breakfast is even more awesome. Yum to everything! Oh yeah, and sweet tea?! Geeze...why doesn't Seattle or anywhere in the NW know what sweet tea is?!!! They have great sweet tea. Try a peachy tea, yum. And by the way, they make your tea however you want--lite ice, extra peach, no ice, splenda, whatever! Go--and say goodbye forever to McWhatsitsName. read more

I eat here way more than I should, but I'm surprised I'm not sick of it. Food is really good. Always made to order and fresh! Service is fast and workers there are ALL super friendly. I am not normally somebody who thinks that any fast food restaurant is deserving of 5 stars, but the with their smiley staff, great food, great prices, and very very cool decor of giant sized hamburger, drinks, and fries, how could you not give it 5 stars??!! read more

Love this fast food place. Food is great. Everyone needs a Pals Their Burgers are awsome and cheap read more

Classic burgers, dogs, and fries in a drive-thru-only setting. Fastest service I have ever experienced. Don't let the long line scare you off. It moved fast. Hotdogs are my favorite with a peachy tea. read more

Ok let's be honest...who doesn't love this place! There is a reason when residents move out of state they always go back when they visit here! Good food, clean, prices great! read more

After reading the reviews for this place we decided to give it a try. Good choice! Their "Frenchy Fries" are excellent! I tried the BBQ Dog with slaw, and it was pretty tasty! The chipped ham sandwich is great too! There is almost always a line here so they're doing something right! read more

The Big Pals is my favorite. The sauce burger or Double Jr are very good also. The Frenchie fries are a salty fave that makes me double check my BP meds. The first two times I ate at the one by Jonesboro and I almost gave up on them and then I ate @ the one in Erwin and have eaten there over a dozen times since. If you're in northeast TN, ya gotta try Pals! read more

If you've never been to Pal's you have to got to eat here. It's a drive through only restaurant but they have spaces for you eat in your car. The Big Pal has to be the best hamburger I've ever eaten and the fries ain't bad either. The sweet tea is great and the chipped ham sandwich is like nothing you've ever eaten before. I'd rather eat here than at any "fast food" drive through anywhere. If they had tables to eat at inside this place could have restaurants all over the world. WOW read more

Pals has the best hotdogs and ff of any fast food place out there! The service is always quick and accurate! chipped ham and cheese are great-if u leave offthe pickle!! read more

Think outside the box: order a Chipped Ham plain add sauce! The sauce is a Barbeque'ie type sauce and added to the plain chipped ham sandwich is the best thing you have ever tasted. I'd like to be the first to suggest that they add it to the menu and call it a "Saucy Ham Sandwich"! read more

Service is good and fast. I really do not like the meat on the hamburger. It seams to have fillers and not as fresh as the other things on the burger. Fries has lots of seasoning salt on them. The tea is so so but the soda are very good, the right mix of fiz and syrup. read more

Pal's is simple, but delicious. Love their chili dogs and chili buns. Wish they would branch out to more areas in the country.

Pal's is always good!!! They have a wonderful cheeseburger or as they call it the Big Pal with Cheese!! Their french fries are seasoned and their hot dogs are great! It is strictly drive thru--you order on one side and drive around to the other to pick up your order. It is always fast and service with at smile! Oh and they have a wonderful tea that you an get unsweeted (plain) or sweetened!! I have been going to Pal's for many years and I can honestly say that it is always excellent and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this area. They are a local chain--so you can only eat at Pal's in this region--worth a try! read more

I come here very often, I have a personal relationship with the employees. They are so sweet and caring. They have also never gotten my order wrong, it's so great. One time I even left my debit card at home (given my total was only around 3.20) and they gave me my food anyways. They told me I could come back later and pay it, so I did. Very nice. 10/10 read more

BEST fast food place I have ever been to. Orders always 100% accurate. Service is always exceptional and friendly. Quickest drive thru that you will ever enter. A very well ran business from beginning to end. Oh, and the burgers are very addictive, so be careful! read more

You can only get this award winning fast food in this part of the country, so give it a go if you are nearby. I would highly recommend this particular Pal's though, and that is because of their beyond exceptional service. All of the facilities in this chain do well, but this one is on the top. I go to school at ETSU and when I get out of class during rush hour there can be a VERY long line, but I go anyway because they are so quick and efficient that the wait is still shorter than McDonalds. Typically with any fast food restaurant, you will run into the never ending crap of things being wrong, left out, and just simply not getting what you want, and then you have to go through the time to take it back. But with Pal's I have not had to do that one single time. It is a great establishment, and I respect the owner's decision to keep it in this area and not let it spread like wild fire like the other fast food restaurants, because they want their quality to stay top notch. Five stars from me Pal's. read more

This is the most rockin' fast food in the tri-cities! My sister lives in NJ, and everytime she comes home the first thing she wants to do is go to Pal's for a sweet tea, and a chipped ham! LOL, the power of fast food! Now the other reviewers complimented the food as well, and I will agree with them on the quality of the food. They forgot to mention that Pal's is always at the top of the charts when it comes to the health department scores as well. Cleanest fast food place around! I personally am a big fan of the breakfast menu with the cheddar rounds! Any out-of-towners that are reading this and passing through, YOU GOTTA TRY SOME PAL'S! read more
