Absolutely a great find in Johnson City TN. Across from East Tennessee State University just up from the Carnegie Hotel. This is strictly a breakfast, lunch and brunch place. We were greeted on entry and shown to our table by our server. I had the Mixed Berries Acia and my wife had the Classic Eggs Benedict. We both really enjoyed our choices and the samples provided each other. Our server checked on us and sure the food was good and our drinks were refilled. We discovered that there are multiple locations and that one is only 20 minutes from us. We'll definitely be checking out that one soon. read more

Ate here on New Years Day while visiting Johnson City and it was busy! Waited 25 minutes for our table but was able to sit in the quiet and comfortable car until their text came through. MISTY! Our server was the best part of our experience and the reason we would go back. But first the food: Coffee: ehh. It wasn't bad, it was hot. They leave a small pot on the table. I love that. My husband ordered a farmhouse hash that had some roasted or sun dried tomatoes in it and he loved it. Also thank you for having gluten free toast and not upcharging for it. The eggs however....the cook on this day must've been celebrating 2022 coming to a close the night before because our eggs were horrible. 1. Scrambled: horrible. 2. scrambled do over: acceptable. 3. Poached for Benedict: hard. 4. Poached do over: totally raw. Misty couldn't serve all her tables AND cook the eggs or they probably would've been fine. She did everything possible to remedy what the kitchen failed at and in the end, did not charge for the Benedict. Come on folks. It's a breakfast spot....eggs should be a no brainer. Oh, we got a fresh orange juice that was bomb with ginger and beet. loved it. Misty took the time to answer my questions since we are considering buying a place in JC. So 20 mins later we checked in and were told oh its 4 more parties in front of you. So after being in the restaurant an hour we are told that a party of 10 and 7 were still in front us. I had a rough experience here with my to-go order. I placed it with no problem, and my friend placed a separate one that I was picking up for her. Nothing crazy, just some pancakes/breakfast items and coffee. I ended up waiting 25-30 minutes (maybe more?) and there wasn't even a wait inside indicating they were incredibly busy. After I drove to my friends house (4 minutes away) my food was completely cold, and unfortunately one of my 2 pancakes were missing. I thought about calling and letting them know, but seeing as I live out of town and was leaving that day, there was nothing really I could gain from notifying them. First Watch was a great find in Johnson City (thanks Yelp) for brunch! When we arrived, we were amazed to find a ton of people waiting in line and were quoted a 45 minute wait. They have a waiting area inside with benches and outside a cozy waiting area with comfortable outdoor seating. They also offer coffee and water while waiting. My friend and I grabbed some water and got all cuddled up on the outdoor seating and enjoyed some good conversation. The time flew by and before we knew it, we were seated in a cute two top table. Our server immediately brought us silverware, water and coffee. She was friendly and took our orders quickly. I ordered the Elevated Egg sandwich but substituted the sourdough bread. This absolutely delicious sandwich consisted of toast, fried egg, cheese, bacon, avocado and arugula. It was served with breakfast potatoes. The meal was the perfect size and had great flavors. The sandwich was even served with a lemon dressing which gave it a mild tang. It was so fantastic. My friend ordered the Club Sandwich and Squash soup and she was really happy with her meal as well. Everything on the menu really sounded great, I had a hard time making a decision. Some other offerings on the menu include Salmon Benedict, Belgian Waffles, Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl, and Avocado Toast. They also have a juice bar, tea, hot chocolate and San Pellegrino. The French toast and Belgian waffle are ridiculously good. The tomato soup and ham&gruyere sandwich were also an awesome brunch choice! The avocado toast and eggs were good but not my favorite. The Purple Haze drink is also sooo good if it's made right (it's a lavender and sweet pea lemonade... I'm obsessed with it!). The iced coffee is also really nice, so creamy! Atmosphere: It can get a little crowded, but I've never felt uncomfortable. I love that I see all types of people come in and out-- it feels very inclusive. Staff: I've never met a rude staff member! Pricing: Not bad! Pretty standard for the area, but you're obviously paying more than you would for a to-go breakfast spot. We go at least once a week, we love it so much! read more

Located near the corner of University and State of Franklin, there is plenty of parking. They have the corner spot in the building, so there are a lot of spots close to the door. It was appreciated since It was raining when we went. We got there just after noon on a Saturday and had no wait at all. It was mostly full inside, but I didn't think it overly loud. Decor is the popular industrial, although theirs is a bit softer with more wood visible. Seats are comfortable and the tables are large enough four people can eat without plates crowding the edge. Our server was quick with the drink orders. He had them out in a couple minutes (coffee and water) and then took our food orders. We had our food within maybe 10 minutes, a bit quicker than I expected for made to order items. The chickichanga is a chicken burrito with chorizo, cheeses, onion, and avocado. The Vera Cruz sauce was tasty but not spicy. The chicken was nicely done, and the flavors worked well together. The fruit was nice and seemed fresh. The potatoes were unremarkable, but certainly fine. The market hash is sort of a scramble/ omelet. There are a couple options, all of which sound good. It was nicely cooked and tasty. The roast beef and havarti sandwich was very good. The roast beef was thin cut and tender. The horseradish sauce was spicy without being distracting. The side soup was chicken minestrone which was good and flavorful. The amount with the sandwich was filling without being heavy. Service was attentive without being overbearing. They checked on us often, but seemed to find the times I did not have a mouthful of food. Prices are in line with expectations. The quality was good, as was the service. read more

Service was great and we were sat promptly so 5 stars there. Our food on the otherhand was sub par. Elevated egg sandwich had brown nasty avocado and the buns were burnt. Bacon was as hard as a rock and hurt to even try and bite through. The other meal was their new specialty breakfast tacos. Also bad, meat and eggs were cold and flavor was bland. As this isn't the first bad experience here, we probably won't go back, but by all means please give it a shot as it is a very popular chain. Do NOT eat here if you have food allergies. I was lied to by 5 staff members, 4 of which identified themselves as mangers. Our order was never refunded, although we were not able to eat it.
