    Peanut butter pankcakes
    Kendre W.

We visited Tusculum for basketball camp and stopped here for a bite. Cute little restaurant for grandparents to take their grandkids. At home at grannies feel with good food. Everyone loves grandma house in my opinion. I had the peanut butter double stack pancakes and a side of crispy bacon. Hubby had eggs, sausage links, home fries. We both h0ad water he had water with lemon (lemon comes in packets no fresh lemon Wednesday available). Nice place and people, not my type of go to for next time in the area.

    Coconut cream pie FTW!

The meatloaf and coconut cream pie were seriously excellent! A bit chaotic. You seat yourself and often it seemed the servers didn't know who was responsible for greeting new tables. I saw several people looking around impatiently with nothing in front of them. I don't think they have a good system/process, but all interactions were pleasant. Next time I'll try breakfast!

Yummy food. Great service. Get aunt Beas breakfast club and fried green tomatoes. Ham is also excellent. Hubby said they have the best grits he's ever had

Awesome service and food. Great coffee as well. Wear a coat though, it's chilly in the room.

Exactly what you think it would be. Homestyle breakfast, large portions, reasonably priced, and an unmistakable where-the-locals-go vibe.

They had 3 tables for 4 and 3 tables for 2. There is also sweating at the counter. The staff were so nice and helpful. My husband had the meatball parmesan sub, on a fresh hoagie roll, with fries. I had a special, wrap with spicy chicken and fries. I asked for a side of ranch. Found out they make their ranch in house and it is delicious!! They make their bread. They had cakes and pies on display. Will be back in the area again for the SAC beach tournament and will definitely come back to Carter's Corner.

The food menu offers a selection of appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches. wraps. hoagies, quiche, pasta dishes, pizza, desserts, and a kids menu. The prices seem pretty reasonable. They also have posted specials. I stopped by Carter's Corner in Greeneville for lunch takeout very recently. I was greeted when I walked in. For takeout, I ordered the Steak Philly Cheese Hoagie with Fries ($9.95 plus tax) My food was hot & ready to go in 10 minutes, ketchup provided too. The 12" Hoagie was cut in halves and loaded heavy with lots of melted cheese, shaved grilled steak, sauteed onions & mushrooms on a soft thick sub roll. The golden fries were very hot and lightly salted. Overall, Carter's Corner was a good detour lunch stop for a very filling steak & cheese sub with fries at a reasonable price and friendly service. I would stop by here again if I was traveling through Greeneville again.

First, ordering - likely someone is walking out to get your order as you drive around the building. Ordering is easy (not a bad idea to look up a menu online so you aren't slowing everyone down). Now, the food. Little Top is mid. You aren't going to be amazed. You're not going to cry as you bite into the food and taste covers your tongue. I got the cheeseburger, chili and cheese hotdog, fries, and a drink. It was slightly under $20. The cheeseburger was nothing special and, I suspect, those who laud it are being nostalgic. Toppings are standard and the burger itself not special. Some of the pics on the Google are going to show a lovely burger. My burger's mugshot is included. Your mileage may vary. The hotdog was a mix. The hotdog itself was decent in taste. It wasn't appealing in looks. I had to eat it separately since the whole thing was a mess. The chili was so-so. I'm not a fan of beans in chili on hotdogs, which I should have asked about. Still it was clearly chili in taste. The ability to pick up the hotdog as a whole and eat it with your hands was not happening. The fries and drink were your standard fare. Should you try it? Sure. Should you go off your route or out of your way to try it? Nah.

I decided to go against the rec and try it out for myself. I did a lunch special for $9.99, which came with 3 side and a roll, cornbread, or cheddar biscuit. If that didn't get your attention, well read on, my Yelp! friend. I pickle meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried squash, and corn fritters ('cause I'm healthy like that). Meatloaf is a hard thing to do outside of your momma or grandmama's house. Cracker Barrel can't get it right for me. Troyer's, in Limestone can sell you a 1/2 pound piece of it, but you and I both know it's mid. This meatloaf was good. It was moist and tender, and not drenched in ketchup. The mashed potatoes were decent. The corn fritters were mid. I've saved the best for last - the friend squash was awesome! It was, if I'm honest, the star of the show. For $9.99, just under $11 with tags, tax, and title...yep, I'm in on that deal. The real star was the service. If you can find better service in Greeneville, let me know where it is. The cashier/waitresses were incredibly helpful and recommended things to this newcomer to the place. Will I be back? Um, maybe tomorrow, but if not it will be soon.

The honest truth is that I was so hungry that I searched for chips I could chew and ate the Pulled Pork. I ended up with a pile of impossibly hard chips on my plate. Considering that I had eaten some that took some work to chew and a good portion of meal was gone I informed the waitress of the issue when the bill came, then paid and left. The waitress had apologized for the poor quality of the food but I didn't feel I deserved a refund as I had eaten all that I could chew. My wife told me I was sweating from the effort! If it were me I would have at least stopped by to pay respects, oh well.
