Overcharging! Price gouging! Not only do they charge extra for to go orders, but you get charged a service fee, for them to cook the food! And then on top of that, $6.50 for "OTHER!" I called to ask what is this charge for "OTHER," and they don't answer. The voice system just keeps talking about ordering. That's 13.00 in fees, on top of their small, stingy serving sizes, undercooked hash browns which I ordered all the way but got plain, and asked for pickles and onions on my bacon cheeseburger. I got one tiny pickle slice, and two microscopic pieces of onion!!?? And the cheese wasn't even a full slice, and was translucent! Never Again. First time, and NEVER, EVER AGAIN. read more

3 sheriffs two inside one outside. It was 41° outside and I was on a motorcycle. One of the employees open up the door, and the sheriff told me I couldn't come in, the dining area, was closed even though they had three empty tables, and an empty bar, he said I had to order through the window only. We stopped here on our way home from visiting family. We were greeted when we entered and told it would be a few minutes. As promised we were seated at the low counter a few minutes later. Lindsey was cheerful and friendly despite being extremely busy. The food was delivered with a smile and was delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked. Lindsey was attentive and wonderful to all her customers. She asked if we wanted sugar free syrup after my husband asked for Splenda with his coffee. That was very thoughtful since he is a diabetic. We have been to this location several times and things are usually either really bad or really good. An even consistency would be nice lol. The food is usually well made except for the time I got plastic wrap mixed in with my grits. The wait staff is usually the real issue. They are either attentive or too busy talking or meeting in the back area to take care of their customers. Lots of times my family members have ran out of drink or coffee which makes it hard to enjoy the food. Take out is usually good tho! read more

Waffle house is supposed to have GOOD and FAST SERVICE and i love waffle house and have been to many and this was the worst service i have ever received. The food was terrific. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I'm not giving them five stars is because the cooks were a bit disorganized which is unusual. My husbands bacon didn't come with his order so we cancelled that. My breakfast was noticeably late. We'll be back to a hopefully better organized kitchen. read more

I went here yesterday around 4 pm. No one was here so I was expecting good service. I was wrong. I myself am a server and would never walk up to a table and act like I don't care about anything. Not a smile not a "how are you today". Just a grin and asking what I wanted to drink. The food came out and it was okay but I mean the sausage was over powering. The server could of had a bad day but that's not excuse to treat your customers like you don't care about their experience. Everyone has bad days but that's not really necessary. If are of ethnic descent, please beware. Multiple times we have waited for a booth. Then someone who just enterd the restuarant takes the booth. The waitress sees us waiting to be seated and still says nothing. Today was the last straw. We are a black family of 4. My kids see this and itis not right. If I could give a 0 star review I would. I am a pretty big and staunch supporter of the waffle house brands all over. Rarely do I go into one and Im not satisfied. Until I came to this location. There seemed to be 9 people working maybe a swift changeover, and yet there were people waiting to be served and served the wrong things. I asked for hot tea and waited for 10 mins for it. When a different waitress than the one who took my order asked what I was drinking, I pointed to the tea that was sitting on the cook side counter. When she brought it over it was cold and the its been sitting there cold, but it was never hot to begin with. One of the staff...called the water boy...dumped something in the sink that started a huge flame and almost seared his and my eyebrows off. Maybe it was just an off day but for that many people working they seemed very unorganized. I wouldnt recommend coming to this location, there is another better serviced one less than two miles down the road. read more

It seems to me that customers are at the bottom their priority list. I have always been a waffle house customer. When I lived in plant city Florida I worked at nights and would visit the waffle house there five nights a week. They always adjusted the air so that I did not freeze. Even though I could wear a coat the food gets cold as soon as it served. So when I moved to Jacksonville three years ago I tried the waffle house in town. Three times the guy cooked my over medium eggs and every time they were well done. I ended up eating my hashbrowns which I paid for and then left never to return again. When I moved to Richland I thought let me give that one a try. I've been there three times and the first two times because it was so cold I got my food to go and ate in the car. Today Saturday, June 1, 4 PM I stopped hoping to get some bacon eggs and hashbrowns. I walked in the restaurant there were two customers in the restaurant and what I'm assuming is the server in the back. I asked if there was a warm place to sit because it had to be at least 68° in there. I was told "not really"! So I said thank you and walked out. I've been in the food and beverage industry for many years and I would have never let a customer walk out because they were uncomfortable. Like I said I love the waffle house but this is a continuous problem every time. I don't mind wearing a sweater however if my food is going to get cold before I even eat it then I'm not happy. No matter how good the food is and how much I love your hashbrowns if you can't make me comfortable then you can't have my business. read more

Been here a few times. It's a Waffle House, so it's not going to be top class. The waitresses are as helpful as they can be. They have messed up small things on my order each time. Great food though, no doubt there. The location is terrible, difficult during high traffic times. read more

My husband and I always make it a point to stop here since our first visit to Jacksonville last October 2015. We have always had great service and yesterday morning was no different. This visit, Jamie served our coffee and Kathleen took our order and brought our food. Although it wasn't as much fun as the singing Cook back in November for our second trip, it was still an enjoyable morning. Both servers were great and absolutely sweet as can be. Being an assistant manager at a restaurant in New Jersey I tend to watch how servers interact with each other. The girls here are always amazing. Great team work and professionalism. read more
