Brand new chicken place to Jacksonville. Although we have a lot of other chicken places this one the service is good. The teenagers were friendly and courteous. Looking around place is clean and tidy. They clear the tables for you. Drink station. Let me tell you about their made in house drinks. Sweet tea, in my opinion, needs more sweet. The lemonade wasn't terrible. The staff also brings your food to the table which I like. The in-house made sauces are dipp-o-lishious. I'm a big dipper person so I like options. Prices are pretty reasonable. And they have a rewards program to earn free food. read more

This place has GREAT service! The employees are so pleasant and the owner went around asking everyone how their food is. Very personable and intimate. I love how they decorated this place and they also offer military discount. The food is just ok, I wasn't a fan of their club chicken sandwich, it had a very strong sauce. The buffalo Mac & Cheese is good if you really love cheese as well but their fried mushroom is BOMB!! Similar to the outback fried mushrooms but bigger and better. One of my favorite things about this place is their meal cup, it's a plastic cup that's similar to souvenir cup! All around, nice place with great service. Didn't come out of the gate strong, but I think they have potential to do better. Portion sizes are great. Food (fries, chicken wings) were NOT fried fresh. Employees were very knowledgeable and kind! I enjoyed their type of fries, just wish they were dropped at the time of order. Chicken wings were not great in any way (the wings were extremely dry and you can tell in the photo.) Ocra was decent. I used the drive-thru, it moved pretty quickly. read more

I tried Slim Chickens when they first opened and the chicken was overcooked. In all fairness, I have not gone back. There are so many other chicken places that I like that I will probably not go back to Slim Chickens anytime soon. read more

We love Slim Chickens! It is our go-to every Tuesday after leaving our sports games at the Commons. The workers are always so nice & enthusiastic. Jason always helps us with a smile. I really like the food and menu here. Quite different than other places. My favorite is the chicken breast sandwich dipped in buffalo sauce. They fries are always made fresh and they add a Cajun seasoning on it which makes them even better. I love sweet tea and theirs is REALLY good. I am only mentioning my favorite items but the have a variety of chicken sandwiches, wraps, and other items to choose from. My wife has explored other food items on the menu but I have just stuck to my favorite items. The service is awesome and the staff is super polite and accommodating. It has a typical fast food restaurant ambience but with a few televisions playing a variety of stations. The restaurant is always clean and fully stocked with condiments, utensils, drinks, etc. I like having lunch there and do so at least once a month. read more

Being that this location is new, I expected the line to be long and I was right. There were 2 drive thru lines open and both lines wrapped around the building into the banks parking lot. The person taking our order on the tablet outside was kind and helpful with any questions we had. We tried just about every sauce they offer just to see which ones we liked. The food is good. The place gives me the same vibes as a Raisin' Canes. Nice chicken place with a simple menu and friendly people. They have a larger selection on the menu for both chicken and sauces. Their signature "Slim Sauce" is alright. It's worth trying. I like it, however I like the flavor of Raisin' Canes better. Overall this place is definitely a good place to bring your family if you love chicken and enjoy the atmosphere. read more

First time ever eating at this place and it was Great! A lot like zaxbys but extremely clean and food was hot and fresh! We loved all the sauce selections and if we had one of these back home, we would eat there quite often! Also sanitation grade was 99 which is a BIG plus in my book!!! read more
