You can never go wrong with a waffle house in the morning. I must admit, this was possibly the cleanest waffle house I've been into. Unfortunately, I did have a couple issues. It felt like 30° in there. I heard everyone complain about it, too, but it was worse because we sat directly under the vent. Luckily, we had goodies, but were still freezing. What was worse was we had our hash browns made 3 times because we said peppers and onion, but first time came out with only cheese. We said we ordered peppers and onions in it only. She takes it back and brings it back with cheese again. I guess 3rd time was a charm, but a waste of food. read more

Being this was my first time to waffle house and I had just gotten off an airplane we had an great experience. Service was top notch all around. Please see my review of another Waffle House (in Covington, KY) and note the difference between these two locations and also note that they are 10 minutes apart. Choose wisely. After a disastrous attempt to eat at the Waffle House in Covington, KY, we drove the 10 minutes to this location, hoping for a better experience and boy did we have a much better time here. We walked in the store and were immediately greeted with "Welcome in!, How are you doing this morning?" from Anna- who is a welcome change and the complete opposite of the crabby lady in Covington. Anna came around the counter, showed us to a table that was clean and she took our drink orders right away. Anna was so pleasant and friendly that the sour mood the other person had put me in started to melt away. Mind you, Anna and her co-workers had a restaurant full of people, but they moved around with great efficiency- taking orders, cleaning tables, seating customers, delivering orders, etc. and smiling and interacting with customers at the same time. We all placed our orders and Anna was quick to make suggestions and sure enough, in under 8 minutes, our food was delivered- hot, fresh, and it tasted good. The five stars is for Anna and her co-workers, they all did a great job and they run that restaurant like a well oiled machine- smooth, efficient, and they get results. We ate here two nights in a row after 10 PM, and both times were hands down the best Waffle House experiences we've ever had. We were in town for the Reds vs. Guardians game and ended up here late -- and we're so glad we did. Our server (we wish we could remember her name!) was outstanding both nights -- friendly, fast, and made us feel completely at home. It's rare to get that level of consistency and service, especially late at night, but she nailed it. The food was hot, fresh, and exactly what we needed. This location definitely set the bar high. On our way to Tennessee we needed to stop for some breakfast. After a long car ride we needed to stretch out and relax a little. That wasn't going to happen here. We all crammed into the smallest booth no way we could be comfy. The place was freezing. Absolute freezing I'm surprised there wasn't icicles from the ceiling. The staff had to wear sweatshirts. We stopped in here one morning for breakfast before heading to CVG for our flight back to Dulles. We sat at the counter and ordered breakfast - I had a breakfast bowl - which consisted of scrambled eggs with sausage, cheese, onions, over some hash browns, and a cup of coffee and a glass of water. Our waitress, "Cyren" (Siren?!?) made our family of 5 feel like we were an inconvenience to her! She asked us what kind of toast we wanted, but brought us all white toast! I had asked for wheat! However, she just stood there, unmoving, like a deer-in-headlights, like she had never solved a problem in her life, so I just said "Oh, it's fine, I'll eat it." I had also asked if I could have dry hashbrowns (No oil). She said "Yes, no problem." It was apparently "no problem" because she just brought me regular hashbrowns cooked in oil, anyway!! She only offered us 2 menus when we had 5 people! That's just laughable. She was extremely slow, had zero personality, and even though she came back to check on us 3 times, NOT EVEN ONCE did she pre-bus the table by removing any dirty dishes, even though she seated us at a too-small table. This location continues it's impeccable record as the store was clean and the service was good. I usually get the All Star Breakfast because it gives you a bit of all of the breakfast items but this time I went with something different. I got the Texas Bacon Patty Melt. It comes with the beef patty with cheese, onions, pickles on the plate, and of course lots of bacon all on some nice and thick Texas Toast. The meat was perfectly cooked as was the bacon and all of the flavours made for a dandy sandwich. No frills but very satisfying. The hashbrowns as usual were perfect as that's a Waffle House staple. Waffle House isn't flashy but it's inexpensive, tasty, and makes for a fine meal. read more

Food great but Been eating here forever and love me some Janet and Shellie but the supervisor Andrew and the little young girl cooking Desirae should be ashamed and not serve anyone. So today which is Memorial Day with many service men in there the young girl yelled so loud at Shellie and elderly woman she scared my five year old granddaughter and some customers that were standing walked out. I have two grown children and I would be having their funeral if they disrespected any adult period. The supervisor Andrew laughed with her instead of shutting that down or even reprimanding her. HE DOD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Needless to say we won't be going back to that one at all after all the time we been going there. This young girl Desirae not even as old as my daughter belittled this woman in front of all the customers it was so distasteful. Everyone deserves respect if ones who make a mistake and the same young girl make a mistake on my food smh yet she yelled at this one and belittled her and again Andrew should not supervise anyone ever. He thought it was funny and too busy entertaining Desirae. If this kind of thing represent the Waffle House brand then everyone need to go somewhere else. Cooperate should do more to protect the elderly on these jobs but apparently it's all about the money cause Andrew and Desirae especially Desirae need to be fired!!!! read more

Counted at least 8 very friendly staff members and 2 guys who appeared to be upper brass pitching in too. The "brass guys" were quite verbal about their thankfulness for the great staff. Having been a third shift employee, you really learn to appreciate places with all day breakfast menus that are open 24 hours. This place has both. It's the classic diner design, where the server uses some cryptic language to yell the order to the cook (who's 3 feet from her). It's really just a fun throwback to the age of diners, if you go for that thing. The food isn't bad, and it's not expensive to start. It's mostly a la carte, so you can keep adding things that jack up the price pretty quickly. The coffee's descent, and the wait staff are friendly. It was surprising how busy the place was at 2:00 in the morning, but I guess there is a bar just across the street. read more

The stars are only low cause of the service. The food was good, however it would've been better not in a to go container. I walked in and sat at the bar, the nice waitress took my order. She decides for me that I was taking it to go. It caught me by surprise that my food was bagged up when I never asked for it to go. Then she tells me to total, I pay and ask for a receipt. But because she is being chatty Kathy she doesn't hear me. She brings me my change with no receipt. Which would be ok. If I wasn't traveling for work and needed the reciept. It took 3 people to figure out how to give me the receipt, and then it's not an itemized one, it just has the total. So for this horrible service they get a 2 stars. Won't be back to this place. I have tried to call the restaurant starting at 2 am till 230 am. I keep getting a recording and previously this has happened. The staff said they had 10 missed calls, they had turned down the ringer and didn't turn it back up. They often go out side to smoke and don't answer the phone. I really think this is bad customer service as we are calling in lunch for work and we only get 30 mins. If we have to wait for cook time and then driver time. read more
