Scrambled eggs & toast just fine. But they were out of onions?? Made me whine.
Ticia Y.

There are good WaHos, poor WaHos, and amazing WaHos. Wherever they fall on the spectrum of service, quality and cleanliness, there's no denying that it's the best hangover food you can get. I hadn't been to any WaHo in a few years and elected for this location with my brother for a weekend early lunch - imagine my surprise on a Saturday around 11 a.m. to hear that they were out of onions ... no onions on a weekend?! What's a pile of hashbrowns without onions, or a patty melt without onions? Our server was super nice, but I can't say that I felt all that comfortable with the lack of masks being worn and the fact that the restaurant felt as crowded as one expects any Waffle House to be on a weekend. The grilled chicken was appallingly-overcooked. Like eating a poultry-flavored sneaker. I guess it's what I've come to expect of most Waffle Houses - smiley service, fairly clean tables and floors, and so-so food quality.

Nice Waffle House. Large staff, walked in, sat quick, and started on coffee. 4 of us, tons of food and perfect waffle and live to get a fried egg and grits to mix with hash browns . Clean, good service. Mom wanted breakfast and got it! Keep the coffee coming!

Hashbrowns with cheese (instead of peppers)
A D.

Quick and friendly service for my to-go order, but the order wasn't accurate and the beverage (hot black tea) was missing. One of the plates was to have hashbrowns peppered and instead they had cheese, no peppers in sight. I'd try them again but would have the person picking up the order double check the order before leaving. We only ordered three things.

Good service, nice people. Glad they put it where they did. Right on my way home late at night. Great example of a Waffle House.

My "Go-to" brunch spot when I'm in Georgia! My first time in…read moreMarch 2025 didn't disappoint and my second time, December 2025, didn't either. The second time I came back we were greeted with a 30-min wait, which was expected due to the weekend and peak hour. But to our surprise we were actually seated within 15-minutes. While we waited, I used the restroom for the first time and it was clean and smelled fresh with cute decor. We were served with drinks right away and our server was very pleasant and accommodating. We looked at the menu beforehand, but last minute my husband and I decided to try recommended dishes. Here's our spread: Strawberry Short stack - 5/5 Sausage and egg biscuit with - 4/5 Cowboy omelette - 5/5 Chicken & Waffles - 5/5 Philly Fries Meal - 5/5 Bottomless Sweet Tea - 5/5 The pancakes were moist and fluffy with the right amount of sweetness. My daughter swore she'd eat the entire stack, but of course we knew otherwise. My mother in law enjoyed the sausage and egg biscuit, the sausage was a little more well done than she'd like but everything was seasoned well. The Philly fries were a surprise due to its massive size. My family demolished it. It was seasoned well with the right balance of meat, onions and cheese, my daughter wanted to it all by herself lol. The Cowboy omelette was also massive. The eggs cooked well stuffed with all the fixings - they definitely didn't skimp on it. Topped with fresh guacamole and salsa it was a delight. The chicken and waffles was recommended by our server and my husband was amazed by the whole dish. The balance of sweet and salty and the textures were perfect. The crunch of the chicken didn't take away from the moist meat. He created his "perfect bite" with a piece of chicken and waffles and it was heavenly. I'd definitely get it for myself next time. The waffle had a slight bite but also moist. I've experienced dry waffles before and this proved otherwise. Overall the experience was great. The service was excellent especially during a rush hour. Also we were very happy to see the Christmas decor. It really felt like a hometown feel and we enjoyed every minute. Definitely have Oy! on your list for brunch with the family! I'd visit once a week if I could.

Came here for brunch on Saturday and the place was pretty busy, as expected. We waited about 45…read moreminutes before getting seated. The atmosphere was lively. We ordered a few different dishes including steak and eggs, French toast, pancakes with bacon, and a burger with fries. The steak was cooked nicely, but it was a little tough. The French toast was thick and tasty, but it tasted more like bread pudding to me--it wasn't as light and fluffy as traditional French toast. The pancakes were simple but good. Portions were generous and definitely filling. Overall, the food was good, but not quite as impressive as I had expected. I also wish their juice was fresh squeezed. Overall, it's a solid brunch spot, but with a few small improvements it could be even better.

Well now... let me tell y'all about a little place in Buford that flat-out surprised the socks off…read moreme -- 5 Spot Cafe. I rolled in there hungry enough to eat the bumper off a truck and ordered the meatloaf ciabatta sandwich with hand-cut fries, and sweet mercy... somebody's grandma must be back there running the kitchen because that thing was borderline life-changing. The meatloaf was thick, juicy, and had that "somebody's been perfecting this recipe since 1978" flavor going on. The ciabatta held it together like a champ, and those hand-cut fries? Lord have mercy. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside -- the kind you keep saying "just one more" until suddenly the basket's empty and you're thinking about ordering another. Now here's the real kicker: they've got gluten-free options, which means I can bring my wife this weekend without her looking at the menu like it personally offended her. That alone deserves a round of applause. So if you're anywhere near Buford and your stomach starts talking louder than your good sense, do yourself a favor and stop by. Just be warned: You might leave full, happy... and already planning your next visit before you even get to the parking lot.
