Waffle House will always get 5 stars in my opinion. No matter what the food never disappoints. But this location has great service too which is rare for a Waffle House . I always ask for my food to be made a special way and they always get it right. Next time you are here , ask if Thor waffle to be put on the grill instead of in the waffle maker. I was presently surprised this morning when I came into the Waffle House here in Dacula, Georgia. The staff was so friendly and really nice. Big daddy welcomed us with huge smile. We sat at the bar. I ordered a sirloin steak with hash-browns, grits, and a waffle. The sirloin steak was prepared ok. It was a bit chewy but still satisfying. Grits were great as usual. Hash brown, nice and crispy and the waffle was nice and fluffy. Giving it a five star because of the service. read more

There are good WaHos, poor WaHos, and amazing WaHos. Wherever they fall on the spectrum of service, quality and cleanliness, there's no denying that it's the best hangover food you can get. I hadn't been to any WaHo in a few years and elected for this location with my brother for a weekend early lunch - imagine my surprise on a Saturday around 11 a.m. to hear that they were out of onions ... no onions on a weekend?! What's a pile of hashbrowns without onions, or a patty melt without onions? Our server was super nice, but I can't say that I felt all that comfortable with the lack of masks being worn and the fact that the restaurant felt as crowded as one expects any Waffle House to be on a weekend. The food was amazing. My fiancee and I went there today for breakfast. It was some great ladies working there. I want to give a shout out to Ms. Jackie, she was my waitress. Originally from New York, Special Thank you and Shot out to her, The wonderful cook to Abby who cooks those eggs well and the bacon was delicious. I enjoyed their stories, they welcome us and gave us with no problem and made sure that we were satisfied Thank you and I will be back once Im in the area again. Quick and friendly service for my to-go order,but the order wasn't accurate and the beverage (hot black tea) was missing. One of the plates was to have hashbrowns peppered and instead they had cheese, no peppers in sight. I was in the mood for my old standby of a waffle and smothered hash browns that only a Waffle House can fill. My fiancé wanted to go to the tried and true Chateau Elan location but we were headed to Home Depot so for the sake of convenience I said let's just stop in to this one. WHAT A MAJOR MISTAKE! We walked in to a bellowing Big Daddy wearing a mask around his chin. The restaurant was chaotic behind the line, totally erratic. I noticed there were no orders being called out. That's odd I thought. There were plates piled high of precooked bacon and a man cooking more. A dirty rag touching bacon and a piece of sausage! I wanted to scream out "throw that out!" A woman at the grill making eggs and more eggs. She kept making eggs and storing them in a large metal bowl. Seemed to be about two dozen or more! As I said no orders are being called out. Isn't the Waffle House way made to order? The servers stand in line and call out to the cook? This was not happening at this location. We each ordered a coffee and I'm still on the fence that I'm going to eat anything. We ordered an all star to share. My fiancé asked for scrambled eggs with cheese, smothered hash browns in a ring. And we wait. Seconds later food magically appeared. No call out. Premade food. The eggs had no cheese. No onions in hash browns. The food looked old! He said to server the eggs do not have cheese. She picked up the plate, looked at it puzzled and gave it to the egg woman and she scraped it back into the egg pan!!! Keep in mind we're in a pandemic and this had been at our table not to mention he should have gotten freshly made eggs! At that point, I walked out. People are going to get sick if they haven't already! I told my fiancé he needed to call Waffle House. We decided to go to the Chateau Elan Waffle House. They know what they're doing. read more

I simply love the burgers here. They are Devine. I mean for the money you can build a half pound loaded burger for 2/3 the price of 5 guys and 1/4 lbs more beef! Order the dark roast coffee! It's very good and Not too overly roasted. read more

We had started at another Waffle House location in our town that is closer to our home, but had an awful time, so we left before being seated and came to this location. What we got here was an amazingly different meal and service experience. It was bright, clean and friendly. Our server Allison took great care of us and the food was tasty. Terrible service. Will never return here again. I sat down at the counter and no one acknowledged me for 15 minutes. This is ranked as the top 3 worse experiences I received in over 30 years of dining out. Not one soul out of 7-8 people said a word. I felt the staff had known something was wrong, but no one spoke up. Things became awkward. There were as many on staff as there were customers and still no hello or offer for water. Another guy that was a regular sat down at the same time, orders, received his food, and drink and left. This was becoming a social experiment to me at this point. I kept quiet and stared at my phone and finally after 17 minutes Katy asked me if I have been serviced. I told her no and how long I'd been there and this was the worse service in some time as a new person to this restaurant. She apologized multiple times and provided me appropriate service. Yes, I could have spoke up and yes I could have left. I wanted to give the manager and staff a chance to adjust and catch their breath and reset. The world is constantly telling us to be patient with our staff because of a shortage. I gave them all the space and time needed. Even when things slowed down and the staff reset their comeback was terrible. I gave them my best patience, but there was zero reciprocation on their end. These folks do this for a living. Should know better and have done better. There's no mistake. This was bad service at its finest. Two mangers ignored me even after telling Katy my complaint. Bad, bad, bad. Thanks to Katy I'll keep coming to Waffle House, but not to this one. I never take time to write this much unless my experience was terrible. This store earned it. read more

They asked if I wanted onions. I said no they smothered my hash browns in onions-_-. I asked for tomatos also nd there was none. My whole life ive been deaf in my left ear. I think her name is jaquie or jaqualine or something like that. I couldnt hear her ask me if i needed utensils so I pointed at my ear that works nd she started to yell at me saying "DO YOU NEED UTENSILS YOU KNOW LIKE A SPOON AND FORK. UTENSILS!" Which really rubbed me the wrong way. Not to mention I stood there at the counter for twenty minutes literally looking at my food get cold. Today will be my last visit to this location. The place is dirty, the service is lousy and the food is hit or miss. They have time to keep that jukebox blaring so they can sing and dance but no time to wait on customers. I sat there for 12 minutes before anyone took my drink order then another 10 before she got my food order, then another 12 min before the food arrived. They were not even that busy. They started getting busy as I was leaving so not sure how they handled things then. My waitress was busy standing around doing nothing or whispering in the ear of another waitress instead of waiting on her tables. So Huddle House is not much further away and it is clean, great food and service and they care about the customers. read more

Recently came in and sat down with 2 of my friends to have brunch and i was absolutely disgusted with my waitress. She had pretty blue eyes and was very polite at first but than as our brunch went on, we felt that she was rushing us to decide what we wanted and than finally when we ordered and got our food, she placed out checks down with the food and asked us to pay quickly because her shift was almost over and she wanted to go home. Finally when we were paying, she had waited at the table for both of my friends to pay and write her tips, when she got her tips she quickly took the check and immediately gave an attitude because of her tips. Went to dinner at this location. While we were eating, some people came in the restaurant and began arguing with the staff. Heated and profane words were used. We were very unsettled while we were eating. It made the experience less than desirable. Will have to think twice before frequenting this location in the future. read more
