The restaurant was not busy as we arrived around 7:15pm on a holiday and we were seated immediately. Our waitress came and got our drink order and got those back to us quickly. She proceeded to take our order while answering any questions my children had about substituting menu items or adding additional items. She was courteous and friendly during the whole exchange. Two of my kids got chicken fingers and fries, adding cheese and bacon, while the other got fries and hash brown casserole. My wife and niece got the Grandma's sampler platters. I got the chicken fried chicken with three sides. Mashed potatoes, hash brown casserole, and fried okra! Everyone loved their food and left stuffed with some leftovers. The store was clean and decked out with old fashioned items throughout. The country store was also a hit! The service was wonderful and the food was delicious as always!

Since there were so few people that early ~9:30am, our service was speedy and friendly. The portions were large. My husband did ask for no bell peppers and there were some in the hashbrown casserole, but they promptly replaced it with some fried potatoes. Much faster service than Cracker Barrel and we like to try new places. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g30466-d26364808-r1070812868-Puckett_s_Restaurant-Cullman_Alabama.html#

Not bad but not great…read more Had the FGBLT (fried green tomato BLT). It's an interesting take on the traditional BLT. The bacon overpowered everything else. The fries are gross. Greasy with an odd sweet seasoning? Like paprika blended with sugar. Kiddo had the chicken club. He really liked it. The addition of pimento cheese was interesting in a good way. He did not eat his fries, this kid always eats his fries. I liked the vibe of the place, they do live music and that's cool. The service (or lack thereof) is the reason for the 3-star rating. Our server vanished. Never once checked on us, we had to wait 15 minutes after eating for our check. It was so bad that we had to wave down another server to finally get the check.

Wanted to rate this place higher but I just cant after trying the steak and salmon entree dishes…read more The salmon did not taste fresh. The mashed potatoes tasted "boxed" (powder after taste). The green beans were probably the best thing on the plate. The steak was also subpar. It was more of a NY strip and very thin. My friend got it medium rare but it came rare-RARE. We did have to ask that it be sent back to cook a little more because it was uncooked even on the sides. The potato wedges were not cooked thoroughly either. It was raw potato and just not tasty when you are looking for a good and cooked crunch. Staff were friendly, but service was slow because it was busy. I don't think I would try this place again.

It was later in the afternoon and the restaurant was quiet, though a few patrons were still eating. It's a small establishment but cute inside. Service was friendly enough and greeted me promptly. Their baked goods were somewhat picked over by the time I got there. I wound up ordering two chocolate chip and pecan cookies. They also have a menu with entrees for breakfast and lunch. The cookies were large and decent enough. I wish there'd been more pecan pieces, and for my preference, they were a little too thin/crunchy. I like my cookies a little bit softer, especially in the center. Still, they were fine cookies. I'm keeping this spot on my bookmark list so I'll remember to try them again for a full meal next time I'm in Cullman. Their menu looks enticing and they get great reviews on their food. If and when I return, I'll definitely update this review!

I didn't get her name, but she was a younger lady with dark hair and tattoos. She did a tremendous job of making sure we had everything we needed as she took care of our table by herself. The issues we had were with the food. Almost all of sides that came out with our food were lukewarm. A few of the steaks were overcooked. Hence a medium rare steak came out medium well and a medium steak came out well done. I had the pork chops with fries and macaroni and cheese. The pork chops had good flavor. The rolls were good! Maybe with a large group they were having an off day, but food should never be served lukewarm when it comes out of the kitchen.
