    Cute decor!

Cutest little stop right off I65 near Cullman, AL. We had breakfast and it was delicious! Service was just right! Decor was precious! I had French toast eggs over medium and extra crispy bacon (all were cooked perfectly). Highly recommend!!

This is probably the best breakfast I've had from Birmingham to Huntsville, and probably other places as well. The portions are plentiful and the cheese grits. You will not want to miss. It was my first visit and it will not be the last. The biscuits were amazing. The gravy was delicious, the bacon was cooked perfectly as was everything else. The coffee was so delicious and the staff was so very nice. I'm so glad that I finally visited this place that is located in the same town where I live and I can't believe I have missed out all this time. I had enough to take home and eat another breakfast the next day from it. Wonderful place if I could give it 10 stars, I would.

In town visiting family and prefer local restaurants over chains and things we can have back home. Absolutely loved this place! Will definitely visit next time we're in town. Our favs were the chocolate croissants, breakfast burritos, and breakfast plates.

What a lovely place to eat; it's quaint and charming. The service was prompt, we ordered at the counter and they brought the food to us. The food was excellent. The pancakes were so thick and delicious. My veggie omelette was perfect. Go eat here you'll love it.

This is a great place to stop for a snack, a meal or desserts! Fabulous food! I had chicken salad on wheatberry bread. Husband had bacon cheeseburger w/fries. Absolutely good! We also picked up dessert to go! Don't drive by! Stop! And have yourself a treat!

Sweet home Alabama! As I write this review I am sitting in the parking lot of Sunflour bakery. So moved by the simple, plentiful, and southern diner style cuisine that I have to write about it now! In my best southern accent, "Oh my gosh, ya'll!" As I was the only diner in the restaurant at 7:00 am, I saw a steady stream of locals coming in and out to pick up there morning breakfast. From blue collar to Southern Belle, from sausage biscuit to boxes of what appeared to be exceptional pastries, this place was as hopping as any place in Nashville minus the hungover bachelorettes and excruciating long lines of tourists. The breakfast plate and large coffee with an extra biscuit was just over $10! (See picture). Now down to biscuits. The biscuits ya'll, oh the biscuits! I would be willing to rename my hunting dog "Sunflour" if it was the only way I could get one of their biscuits. It also came with a sausage gravy that was out of the 1940's, in a good way. I imagined someone's Nana in the back with a flower patterned apron on making that gravy in a cast iron skillet. Ok, it is fair to say, I really liked this place. No "ragrets"! If you are in the Culman, Alabama area and don't stop here for breakfast? Please turn in your southerner identification.

I asked for corned beef instead of Philly Steak

I had a delivery in Cullman, so as usual I try to eat locally. There was a Denny's up the road but found this place on Yelp. No other customers in there...... clue #1. Had a philly omelette on a brief breakfast menu----I asked if they could use corned beef instead. They were gracious enough and said yes. Omelette came out with watery cheese, corned beef AND NOTHING ELSE. Literally no toast, onions, green peppers, hash browns. I do get how me not saying " substitute" the corned beef could have caused the confusion but sheeeesh. Omelette was $6.99, coffee $1.50 for a small ( I'm eating inside---Why ask size?) I go up and ask for hashbrowns....add another $3.29. I had left a $2 tip right off the the top since you order and pay before hand at the counter. So now I'm $15 deep. Now were the omelette and hashbrowns good? You bet. 1.5 thumbs up. Once the cheese gelled I have no complaints, the food was fresh, not a ton of corned beef but it was darn good. The problem I have is I left $15 there for that experience and I cannot say I'll ever go there again. Ketchup still in packets, coffee in styrofoam....... Move the freak on from covid crap already too. Nice gals working there, it's a quaint bakery/diner but if you want to be that "great local diner that everyone goes to" you have to change up the pricing and create value because I am leaving feeling hosed. Just add $2 to omelette price and toss in some flippin' toast or SOMETHING. I'm going up to ask for a coffee refill.... wish me luck!

She appeared to be handling the whole front by herself, but made us feel like we were the only ones there. Decor is like that of a "RoadHouse" feel. Apparently they have live music on a posted schedule. Looked like that would be a fun time to visit. Options were standard southern style meat and three options or menu choices. Wife had vegetable plate, I had the pulled pork plate. Bar-B-Que was tender and flavorful. Not bad for a non specialist Bar-B-Que restaurant. 2 flavors of sauce on the table, a sweet and spicy sauce, either would be an excellent choice. There were only 2 meat options offered, don't know if that's the norm, or we were there so late after lunch they had sold out of other options. Will definitely be back there again. I would like to try and catch one evening with the live music is scheduled.

Nice lady told us to seat ourselves where we want, GM initially waited on us. He was friendly. Wife said he made the margarita and it was great! A little stronger than my wife likes, just under what I like. After a couple sips she loved it! He recommended fried catfish and the ribeye as favorites. We tried both. Ribeye: cooked nicely, not seasoned enough for my taste. I would order and try this again, $26, with two sides. Steak was tender and was a nice cut of ribeye. Salad was solid. Mashed potatoes ok. Could have used a piece of toast I think. Next time a different side from mashed taters. Catfish: GREAT! Light, fluffy, fried perfectly. Hush puppies were good, a little thick though. Fried okra was also great! Cole slaw could be hit or miss for folks.. i thought it was good, wife didn't like. Should have come out in mashed potato sized bowl to eat easier. Some dislikes: 1. Steak not seasoned well. But I'd try it again. 2. Some things missing off of our plates initially (tartar sauce, mashed potatoes.) No big deal but if it was busier I think we may not have seen them for a while. 3. Person bringing single bowl of mashed potatoes holding with one hand, palm down over potatoes. Pretty sure it looked like hand touched top of potatoes. 4. Not sure if this is a smoking establishment but a guy at the bar lit a cigar. But he must've been asked to take it outside because he put it out. Glad he did because we had a baby. Not sure why he thought he could smoke it in there if he hadn't before. Overall, good visit and I look forward to trying more things and eating that catfish again.

It was later in the afternoon (like 2ish) so the restaurant was fairly quiet when I entered. It's located on a corner as you enter Hartselle's downtown area. I always find parking to be challenging around Main Street, so I parked in a large lot about two blocks down and just walked over to not have to battle with traffic and parallel parking. The inside is beautiful and has a first and second floor. The vibe is pretty much perfect; it reminds me a little of a bistro, with sort of a classical aura but without tackiness or over-grandiosity. The music selection matched the ambiance perfectly. There are lovely large windows and cozy as well as more traditional seating options. I walked my way back to the counter, passing the beautiful baked goods, where I was asked if I'd like a lunch menu or coffee and a pastry. When I indicated I wanted to eat lunch, I was encouraged to sit and relax and let them grab me a menu and a drink. The service was lovely all around; I was checked on plenty and they seemed genuinely concerned about whether or not I enjoyed myself (I did)! They were also very helpful and friendly when I placed a to go order for some pastries for later. Sweet and charming conversationalists! The sweet tea I had to drink was legit some of the best tea I've had in a long time. I know they offer Piper and Leaf tea and I wonder if it was their take on Front Porch Special. I love that tea. At any rate, it was perfectly sweet and flavorful. I ordered the pimento cheese BLT. They have upgraded side options for an extra charge but I was content with the kettle chips. The sandwich was made on a nice soft but chewy bread -- sourdough? -- and the smoked Gouda pimento cheese had just enough smoke. The bacon was absolutely delicious, crispy and so flavorful. The lettuce was more of a mix and I enjoyed that as opposed to just romaine. Truly my only criticism of lunch is I wish that the bread would've been toasted, or that I'd been offered the opportunity to have it toasted. I'd wished for a little warmth on my sandwich. I got a kitchen sink type of cookie and a white chocolate raspberry scone to go for a treat later. These didn't knock my socks off quite as much as lunch did, but both were enjoyable, the cookie especially. Lots of goodies inside and a good balance of chewy and crispy. I could've gone for a little more both raspberry and white chocolate, but my husband really liked it -- he said it tasted like a fancy poptart lol. Overall, I really really enjoyed my visit here. I chose a smaller orange roll based on the recommendation of lots of reviewers, as well as something a bit more unique to me: a sweet potato and pecan muffin. Somewhat unusual combination that sounded super good! I split my treats with husband later that evening. The orange roll was solid -- the soft and yeasty roll was the best part -- though for me the orange glaze was a little too sweet. That's how I usually feel about orange rolls though so if you really love them you'll probably like this one! The muffin remained remarkably moist and the pecans were so nice and toasty on top.
