The store is clean and well-organized, including the restroom, which is always a nice bonus when you're stopping in while traveling. The cashier was super friendly and overheard us talking about their sign for the annual open house, which takes place the Friday and Saturday after Labor Day. She told us they'll have lots of sale items and free samples and recommended going on Friday when it's less crowded. I love a good local tip! If you enjoy unique jarred goodies, sweets, and Southern treats, this is definitely a place worth checking out!

Shelves were lined with things your grandma would go nuts over. Jams and jellies, bags of grits, all sorts of things for the cook who knows how to cook with real ingredients. Also a solid selection of prepared/ready to eat items including some pies that looked pretty amazing. Additionally there's a sandwich counter where you can build your own or order one from their menu. All the sandwiches are made to order on their house-made bread and the prices are super low. If I lived near this place that sandwich counter would quickly become a go-to lunch spot. The people were friendly and the place is clean. However, I didn't get the most friendly vibe and when I asked about the specialty drinks (e.g., which one is your favorite?) the answer was pretty flat and noncommittal. Inside they had lots of apples to pick from as well as a make your own variety bag which was nice. I tried to get one of each and really enjoyed the ambrosia and candy crisp varieties. We also got some fried apple pies and ate them on the porch outside. Whatever apple they used in the pie was delicious!
