It was fresh and good bakery items. Always pass by when I'm in town and glad I got to go and check it out.

These cupcakes are really good. Finally! A cupcake that tastes like it should - a moist cake with luscious whipped frosting. Yum! No gooey gel-like cake substance here and no overpowering icing. (I don't know why so many cupcake shoppes taste like store bought preserved cakes these days. Humph ..About to go on a rant about how cupcake craze swept the nation into the false premise of cupcake freshness...) I tried the Almond and the German Chocolate. Both were excellent. The light and airy frosting brought out the vanilla and the almond in the Almond cupcake. I could see a lot of people ordering this for a delicate wedding cake. The German chocolate was also great and just really hit the spot. This is a small shop and the cupcakes are tiny compared to the gourmet cupcakes you see in other stores. I can deal with that given the superstar quality. But I cannot deal with poor customer service. The shop lady was put-offish. Sheesh. Why is she so cranky? Just seems so irritated with me and irritated that the phone has to ring with orders. Sorry people love your cupcakes and want to come in and bug you for some. For that I have to give four stars instead of five. Smile more. read more

I ordered special Sweet 16 birthday cupcakes in advance. When I get to the bakery they give me cupcakes that had been pulled from their daily batch. Nothing special like I had asked. No one seemed very concerned with my disappointment. The owner offered to refrost them & sprinkle with glitter. Not anything like what I had originally ordered. I should have refused to take them, but I didn't have any other option the day of her birthday. They have lost me as a customer. Very disappointing! read more

Horrible. I called and asked for petit fours for a Christmas party and was very rushed. I didn't have time to order earlier and they said they couldn't make 12 petit fours by 5 pm. I called them at 9:00 am and they said they couldn't do it in time like really? Thats 8 hours! It was ridiculous and I will not be visiting again anytime soon read more

I called from out of state to order a cake and have it delivered to a local business. Dawn was awesome to work with and made it happen with a beautifully decorated sheet cake. She even texted me a picture of it before delivering. My colleagues said it was the best cake they've ever had. I would highly recommend this bakery! read more

I love Yummies and they have the best cupcakes in the area by far. The thing I don't like about Yummies is that the red-headed lady behind the counter is so rude. Every time I am in there she acts as if I am a bother to her and she's doing me a favor by getting my cupcakes. She acts annoyed if anyone wants to stand there and look at the cupcakes in the counter and take the time to decide what they want. I've seen her do this to other customers too. It's frustrating because the cupcakes are so good but cupcakes can only take a business so far. Customer service is what keeps people coming back. read more

I called this bakery last night at 6pm to ask how late they were open. The girl on the phone was short, but said 8pm. I told them we would see them soon. 30 minutes later we arrived to find them closed. They not only lost business tonight, but this would have been our first time trying their goods. My absolute favorite cupcake there is the Almond cupcake, a traditional flavor with a nice twist. I also love their petit fours and am in fact addicted to the tiny sweets because of Yummies. Though I am a resident of Birmingham, I have yet to find anyone that rivals the flavorful sweets that Yummies offers. I went in to order a cake for a special occasion. I was told about a lunch special that included a sandwich, chips, drink AND cupcake so I got the chicken salad. It was the BEST chicken salad sandwich I have ever eaten. The lettuce and tomato was fresh. The cupcake was fresh and so YUMMY!!!!!! I will be back.
