Best dining in Cullman. You can tell they pay very close attention to detail and their atmosphere, their service, an absolutely the food. The brunch was actually the second meal I've had here. I have also had dinner here that was equally amazing. Will be returning over and over.

So excited that Cullman has gotten such a gem to go to for tapas! We tried over half of the small plates and they were all great. I could eat the dates everyday. The cocktails were inventive and some of the best I have had anywhere. Our server was friendly and attentive. The space itself is beautiful. Highly recommend for date night or for a girls wine night!

We had three of their tapas, they were all very good, although in my opinion, they all lacked that "it" factor that just wraps around your tongue, makes you close your eyes and savor each bite.

However you can buy a "3 flight" wine tasting or a "6 flight" wine tasting from a specific list of white wines or red wines. We ordered the "6 flight" consisting of 3 whites and 3 reds to taste. We liked the ability to choose the wines from the list. We also ordered a caprese crostini tray to nibble on while we tasted the wines. Most of the wines were "OK" to "Good" in taste with a couple of wines that a bit too young for tasting. But it was my mistake for selecting them. All in, it was a fun way to spend the Erving. We will definitely be back to try The Stem and Stein once again. Thanks. Rob F

I even branched off for a cider which was delicious. The food was great. I tried the pretzels and the cheese dip was great with just a touch of spice. I was told the menu was new and tried the BBQ brisket Reuben and it was a great combo of BBQ and complimentary flavors for an overall satisfying sandwich... Always hard to find the combo of good beers (or at least a really good selection) and good food but this is it. I added this to my list of places when I'm visiting.... I'm usually in Huntsville but it's worth branching out to Madison AL

I came here for a champagne tasting and brunch event I saw on EventBrite. I must say to access the…read morebuilding, the parking is tight and parts of the building is tight, but it's definitely a cute cellar. We were greeted when we entered and were given some instructions but I must admit, I was a little lost. I was told there was some outside seating (all of the tables/chairs were taken inside) so since this was my first time visiting, I wish there were signs or maybe the hostess could have showed us specifically where to go because oops, I accidentally opened a door that appeared to be an office. Someone saw us and we probably looked lost to them and so they were nice enough to show us the outside area which had a singer who sung some Frank Sinatra songs. He was very talented and appealed to the audience. To our surprise, we saw behind us a table for the tastings. I asked the server for a champagne card so I could take notes and view the prices, but she said when we entered, we should have received one. So I went back to the front and asked the people at the door for the champagne card and they stated that they were printing them, and that they will hand them out a little later. Also I wondered about my brunch that was paid for separately and they said they will come and find me when it was ready. I am glad that we were able to find a table because now I am wondering if we couldn't, how would we have eaten our food. In my opinion, tables should have been reserved for customers who ordered food. Also I wasn't sure how they were keeping up with which customer showed up first because we weren't given a number or anything to show that we ordered food and what our number in line was. At first glance, they seemed unorganized. But as the time progressed they did eventually bring out the champagne cards and they apologized for the lateness of us receiving our food. As the event was coming to an end, one of the workers gave us info on future wine tastings and when they have a live band. All in all, we enjoyed the experience despite it seeming to be unorganized at times, but will definitely come back and visit soon. P.S. The champagne was great! Even bought a bottle. Also the brunch tray was delicious. Hats off to the chef! That whipped goat cheese with orange marmalade was amazing!

First, they are super friendly when you come in and are exceptionally helpful the entire time you're in the store. Obviously the name says it all, but there is more to it than just olive oils. A huge selection of balsamic vinegar to go along with BBQ seasoning/sauces among many other things. Don't worry, there isn't any buying w/o sampling. And, with COVID concerns they are over the top cautious about how samples are handed out. All sorts of varieties that include peppers and seasonings with some of the best balsamic choices including fruits and berries (Check out the Blackberry Ginger Balsamic). Cool place to get some new things to spice up your normal cooking. I'd recommend to anyone and definitely plan on coming back to sample .... I mean buy some more items.

You can choose a sample size or small to large bottles, or grab a prepared sample pack. It's great for yourself and for gifts. Really classy establishment which is just one more reason to take pride in Broad St. and downtown Gadsden.
