I don't recommend ordering pickup from this restaurant. We've eaten in once and the food and service were decent. But I've ordered pickup twice and was disappointed both times. I'll give the manager the first time credit, he refunded more than he "needed" to and sincerely apologized. But this last screw up on Friday cost them my business for good. It way daughter's sixth birthday and this was supposed to be her special order birthday lunch. This is what she decided on. My wife drives 30 minutes from our lake house into town to pick up this lunch and they forget to give us the gallon of lemonade and dozen cheese biscuits I paid for. Okay, irritating but not a huge deal let's call them. The kid that answers the phone says "oh yeah we must have just forgot to grab them, you wanna come back up here and get them?" Nope, no I don't want to spend $15 in gas to drive back up there when everybody is already hungry to come back here and eat a bunch of cold food (common sense) so I get forwarded to a manager and she agrees to refund the missing items. Fair enough. What added insult to injury is I paid almost $30 for a pound of brisket and opted for the "marbled" (you know supposed to be the more tender flavorful portions) and what I got what slices of shoe leather with wads of fat on the end. I've had better brisket from Buc-ee's. I've actually never had worse brisket in my life. I ordered 18 wings and got 12. Then I see my "refund" in my account and realize they decided to keep my tip I had added to the original bill. Needless to say all things considered, I was highly disappointed with how my order was handled. Pickup orders should be handled with precision. Your customer isn't sitting in the restaurant where if there's any inconvenience you can attempt to correct it immediately. I won't be spending money at this restaurant again and what a shame it is because Jim N' Nicks has always been my go-to BBQ joint I've eaten and ordered from the Trussville locations dozens of times when I lived there and never had a single issue. read more

Grabbed lunch quick after church on Sunday heading into Huntsville. A few miles off 65, but nicely located with parking. Busy but not wait. Hot and fresh cheese muffins with butter were waiting for us when we arrived! The crunchy ice is my FAV with unsweeet tea. I get the same thing every time I go (turkey salad) and it did not disappoint. The fiancé mixed things up a little and got the loaded mac with brisket! It was tasty but the portion was pretty small for a grown man. He helped finish my meal (as always) and ate a few extra cheese muffins to tie him over. Holy "cow" the service was slow on the evening we went there, almost as if they didn't have enough staff to work the store and on top of that my baby back ribs tasted like a salt lick you leave out for your live stock animals, which I guess is fitting for Cullman. Overall the service here has dropped so bad I don't see how they can stay open. Will definitely be our last visit. read more

All the food was great. The best bbq I've had in Alabama so far... besides Perfect Timing Bar and grill who has the best pulled pork I've had. The mac and cheese was delicious very cheesy. The brisket was very tender and I do like the sauce. Thank goodness because they put it on for you lol the beans were great the onion is a nice touch. The lil cheesy biscuits are bangin . We showed up about a half hour before the restaurant was closing and they were extremely welcoming for us to come in and eat. It had been an extremely hard day so I'm glad that they were so accommodating. The host and wait staff were absolutely phenomenal. I don't remember our waitress name but she was absolutely amazing! I got the pulled pork baked potato and it was one of the greatest things I've ever eaten! The brisket nachos were phenomenal as well. And the other guys got the chicken tenders and catfish and they said everything on their plate was phenomenal as well. 11 out of 10 I would recommend this place. My wife and son wanted to try a place that they had never tried before, so we decided on Jim 'N Nick's. I've ate at the one in Huntsville a couple times and had good experiences both times, so I was hoping Cullman's restaurant would be the same way. We were not disappointed!! We arrived around 7pm and were seated immediately. The place was busy, but not overcrowded. The setting was casual and very welcoming. Our waiter was awesome, friendly, and very helpful, but unfortunately I can't remember his name. He took our drink orders and we also ordered the queso dip with pulled pork as an appetizer. He quickly returned with our drinks along with some cheese biscuits and took our regular food order. Not too much longer our appetizer came out order. My wife ordered the loaded Bar B Q Baker with pulled pork, my son got the same thing, but added a side of mac and cheese, and I got the Joe's O.G. Turkey Sandwich with fries. We had barely finished the appetizer before the food was delivered to us and every single bit of the food was delicious that we could eat. The meals were very filling! We had a wonderful experience here and definitely plan on returning so we can try some other menu items! read more

We love the food and service so much so that we ordered quite a bit for our family Christmas gathering. After my husband picked the order up, the restaurant realized they had left our ham out and called us. Without hesitation, they offered to bring the ham to our home. I told him we lived out on Smith Lake and he said no problem, I'll send someone out. Within no time, a delicious smelling ham was delivered. Best customer service ever!! Jim n Nicks has a decent menu and I believe they stay within their wheelhouse of what they can do well. The salads are fresh prepared and the various smoked meats are always good. I've heard the wings are good but have never had them. The bartender Jason was super friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and organized. We had the ribs and loaded baked potato both were plentiful and service was super fast. Isabelle kept our glasses full and did a great job on keeping us happy. Update July 2022 - We sat at the bar and had a good lunch. Pig in the garden is always good. Service and food was good. Staff very friendly as usual. Update Oct 2023 - We visit at least once a month and sit at the bar where Jason the best bartender takes care of us. I finally tried the wings and while they tasted good (honey habanero) they didn't have the heat a chili head like myself likes On the negative side a couple of them were a touch undercooked. Def do not want to see pink inside a chicken wing. Ordered as crispy I assume they just missed that. I'll definitely be going back. We stopped here on a road trip home from Florida. Was looking for barbecue instead of having fast food. This place was a fantastic choice. Thought we would just split a combo meal with turkey, pulled pork and sausage with cheese and jalapeño. Came with two sides, so we each had an ear of corn. Then at the last minute my husband decided to add a slab of ribs. Our server was really sweet and on her game. The food was delicious If you're from up North, you could say this place was like City Barbecue meets Logan's. All of the barbecue was amazing. The rolls were super tasty and the corn was great. Just spent $70 worth BBQ and not 1 oz of sauce was I n the order. All meat no sauce. The sauce must be a add on.

Terrible service! Waited over 30 minutes at the bar and not even offered a drink, and when I said something to the manager about the lack of service, she did not say or do anything to make it right. Would have taken one minute to pour a beer. We were seated and never even received water before walking out. Avoid this establishment at all costs. Addition: I bumped my one star rating up to three stars because they reached out to me afterward and wanted to make it right, and I think that's pretty cool. We are traveling and stopped here on our way to our destination. The host and server were both attentive and friendly. We started off with the cheese mufffins and honey butter that were served warm and delighted our pallets. My MIL ordered the smoked turkey sandwich and even though she said it was too much to eat, it was too delicious for her to stop. I had a brisket sandwich with collard greens. I don't get collared greens where I come from and happily gobbled them down. The brisket was tender and delicious. My spouse had the brisket platter. He also loved his meal. The coleslaw seemed dry, not much flavor, but the beans were a good blend of sweet and spicy. A couple of topped off our lunch stop with chocolate and coconut pie slices. The chocolate texture was different than I expected and the pile of whipped cream on top was wonderful. If we are ever near one of these restaurants again, we would definitely dine again. read more

Reason for 3 for food is that quantity in the meat is very small portion size. Size of sides is ok. I got a burger with baked beans and potato salad. Burger was the size of a regular burger at McDonald's but tasted good. Baked beans were excellent potato salad was not real good. Kids meals were of good size. Daughter got the nachos they we just ok they did not put their barbeque sauce on there and they did not offer you sauce with them just the queso. If I lived here I would visit once or twice a year. read more

The food is practically orgasmic, especially the rolls. The service is immaculate and it has a wonderful atmosphere. It is a little pricey so if it's your first time dining here, I would recommend the lunch fare. It's the same food as the dinner menu for a little less money. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Jim 'N Nick's Barbecue is one of the best establishments I've ever eaten at. The first time I went there was on a Sunday, and I was immediately greeted by smiling faces and positive attitudes when I'd walked through the doors. We were visiting family and wanted some southern BBQ. The inside was clean and trendy ie rustic aesthetic. The menu isn't too large but big enough that anyone could find a dish they would like. My husband got the brisket sandwich and said it was really good. We got onion rings, they were ok not great. I got a baked potato-- nothing fancy or worth writing home about. While this maybe a chain restaurant, the food was truly outstanding! My wife had the brisket and I have the quarter chicken with the white bbq sauce. The white bbq sauce was absolutely amazing. The cheddar corn muffins were wonderful too. The thing that really made it for me was the bbq corn on the cob, it is doused with the white bbq sauce and was simply phenomenal! Very disappointed.... we were so glad to see they were open again, use to love the brisket but this time around their brisket was All fat.... hardly any meat!
