We were greeted enthusiastically by the nicest Southern gals. It's a quaint, small town "Meat 'N Three" place. The lot had pickups (great sign) and some local old fellers, about my age , who were wrapping up their afternoon lunch and coffee. All signs pointed to a good experience. The tea was fresh, strong, and hit the table as soon a my narrow butt hit the seat. The food was fast as well. Country fried steak, cole slaw, and mashed potatoes were fine. Graves-homemade. The green beans, greens, pintos (aka soup beans), toast, biscuit, and cobbler were top notch Southern delicacies. Several others were recommended, namely the home fried, fried mac 'n cheese, and fried corn. I mean, based on other reviews, the cheeseburger and chicken biscuit are next on our lists to try. If you have a bad experience here, you're trying hard.

Fortunately his daughter is a nurse and was over to check on him. He was sick with food poisoning for a week and she stayed with him, nursing him back to health. She said the most probable cause was the chicken he ate. I'm no expert, but the Health Department would do well to do a thorough inspection of this place, and if they did, I'd suspect they would find enough violations to shut this place down. Expecting the crunch of a gizzard, I was disappointed to find the gizzards broken down. A small disappointment overshadowed by the lack of flavor in 4 of the 5 items we tried. Not sure if it was the gizzards or the roasted ribs (not smoked folks just do you know), but my wife and I have been physically ill since dinner 6 hours ago. I'm hoping this too shall pass . Bottom line, skip it.

The coffee was very good and a small carafe was placed on the table with more. We ordered two breakfast entrees: Veggie Egg White Omelet and Big Farmhouse Breakfast. It was moderately busy but our food came out fairly quick. The Big Farmhouse Breakfast looked good with the exception of the sausage and hashbrowns. Both were overcooked and slightly burnt on one side. We showed them to the server. She apologized and took them back to the kitchen to be remade. She was accommodating and assured us she would have it right out. The Veggie Egg White Omelet looked good as far as presentation but was very bland. A side of salsa may have helped but I didn't think of asking for any at the time. We finished up with more coffee and the check.

We were greeted after a few minutes by Allie (I may have the name wrong, it was either Aly or maybe Kiley?) a very pleasant and friendly server. We were already prepared for what we wanted to we ordered immediately. She brought our drinks out and we waited quite some time for our order, probably 20 minutes. It definitely wasn't the servers fault she brought fresh drinks out while we were waiting. She apologized for the delay. Finally we got our entrees but we were told they had no biscuits and were making fresh ones. The food was good as usual, I ordered the Chicken and dumplings with cinnamon apples, hash brown casserole and green beans but we never got our rolls/biscuits even as we were leaving. The chicken dumpling gravy was more watery than I remember but it tasted ok. This makes my 2nd visit in a row to this location in which something was wrong or easily fixable. Also one of the faucets in the bathroom didn't work and the floor needed a good mopping.
