This place was a complete mess from the moment we walked in and it somehow managed to get worse as time went on. I honestly regret giving it a chance. The first issue was the apple juice which was very clearly old and outdated. It tasted stale sour and just wrong. It was not fresh at all and serving something like that is honestly concerning. It makes you wonder how long things are sitting around and whether anyone even checks expiration dates. The food was just as bad. The waffle came out looking okay but the second you tasted it you could tell the chocolate chips were completely overcooked and burnt. Instead of being melted and sweet they were bitter and unpleasant and ruined the entire waffle. It felt careless like whoever made it didn't care at all about quality or consistency. This is such a basic item and they still managed to mess it up. The drinks were another huge letdown. Every single drink we tried tasted watered down including the root beer. The root beer had almost no flavor no carbonation and tasted flat and diluted like it had been mixed wrong or sitting out forever. Paying for drinks that taste like watered down leftovers is ridiculous. On top of all that the service was terrible. The waiters were not good at their jobs at all. Orders took forever they seemed confused half the time and basic things had to be repeated multiple times. It felt like they were either poorly trained or just didn't care. There was no sense of urgency no attention to customers and no effort to make the experience better even when things were clearly going wrong. To make the atmosphere even worse many of the other customers were incredibly rude loud and disrespectful. It made the whole place uncomfortable and unpleasant to be in. Instead of feeling like a place you could enjoy a meal it felt chaotic and stressful. Between the bad service and the rude customers the environment was just awful. Overall this place fails on every level. Old juice burnt food watered down drinks terrible service and an unpleasant atmosphere. For the prices they charge this experience is completely unacceptable. I will not be returning and I would strongly advise others to spend their money somewhere else unless they enjoy being disappointed. read more

First time @ Waffle House while visiting Augusta and I had some of the best orange juice ever. I ordered the All-Star special with hashbrowns adding mushrooms and onions (this was upsetting because the onions and mushrooms tasted raw and not cooked all the way, sad). The All-Star special was $9.99, unbeatable. Food was very fresh. The waffle was really good, I got blueberry topping yet I wished the topping was entirely all over the waffle and not just 45% of it. Overall, I would definitely go here again when I'm in Augusta again. read more

The ladies at this Waffle House are awesome. They keep you in stitches while you are eating breakfast. I had a good workout and wanted some breakfast and decided to stop in on my last day in town. Quick turnaround and friendly service. However, compared to other waffle houses in the area, this one is a really poor value. The only thing I order at Waffle House is the hash browns generally with 5-6 things. When you're paying "that much" (relatively of course) you expect more than 3 tomato cubes or 2 jalapeños. It's been more than 35 years that we have visited Augusta...we arrived late the night before and in the morning we decided to give the Waffle House a try. I've eaten at the Beaumont Tx location on another trip, but this was my husband's first time. Susan was our server and she welcomed us with a smile and constant attention to our table, even as the Sunday morning regulars were drifting in. Our food came quickly and I especially enjoyed my over easy eggs and my husband loved his grits. All customers were greeted as they came in and the entire restaurant was friendly and you could tell that the servers and cooks all enjoyed a gentle banter among themselves. We love the South, for their open hospitality that we don't experience often back home in Southern California. read more

Accurate and friendly service. The waitresses were very friendly, nice, and professional. The atmosphere is quite, and peaceful. I would always order the harsh browns,eggs,waffles, and a T-bone steak. The food is great, but they would always over-cook my steak and the butter is always 'liquidy'. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Waffle House. Our table was sticky that we sat down to. Once we ordered our food it took more than 20 mins just to get half of our order. We never received our waffles and the restaurant wasn't even busy. There were two employees behind the counter doing absolutely nothing but sitting there conversing with female customers at the counter. Is this place under new management? I have eaten at waffle house restaurants since the early 70s and this particular location for many years, never having a bad meal. We had late breakfast today. I don't know what the "cook" was doing but the food was simply terrible. Furthermore, he seemed to have forgotten that two people were at my table and only prepared one of the two orders. The second order came with bacon burned beyond belief. I am not sure how anyone could mess up breakfast this badly particularly at a waffle house franchise. We should've known something was remiss when there were only four customers at 12:30 PM on Sunday. Thankfully, Augusta has other locations for this otherwise classic restaurant. read more

Excellent from the moment we walked in the door. We were traveling through Augusta and stopped for breakfast. Server was Susan and she was the best. Polite to everyone and she was like an energizer bunny constantly attending to us while also cleaning.
