I recently visited this Waffle House for their Easter/Passover event and it was a treat. WaHo is a true Atlanta institution and you must treat yourself to a waffle at least once in your life if you are an Atlanta resident or visitor. WaHo is a traditional diner with fast-food zeal. Seats about 40 guests at a time but gets plenty of to-go service. Some people show up in business attire on a lunch break, some come in their jammies. You will likely encounter every walk of life at WaHo and that's what makes it beautiful. This location does events pretty frequently and it's great for families. The view is also pretty nice depending on the day! The food is very reasonably priced and hits the spot when you're in a pinch or happen to want something comforting at 3AM. The menu is customized so that almost everything can be cooked on their grill (so they serve nothing deep-fried). The waffles are the real reason I come. Some like em lightly toasted, some like it dark and well-done. Add a topping or two. Any manner is purely delicious and addictive. Nia was a great server and took care of our table very well. This Waffle House Unit is simply The Best of them all. Unit #922 is run by a restaurateur, Robyn. You will find them operating at full speed and capacity on a Sunday, but they will be worth the wait. In the AM, sometimes you may be treated Tora, but don't pass on a late night visit to see Ms. Georgia. Regardless the time of day, the staff are always friendly and fun. My personal favorite time to visit this unit is on a holiday. Any holiday. The unit is always decorated and filled with holiday cheer whether it be Christmas, Valentines, or Easter! They also have Waffle Wednesdays for the kids and in previous years brought the Coca-Cola polar bear out for the kids. As for the food, you know the deal! Whether an all star special, a Texas cheesesteak melt, or just a waffle, they make your order to perfection every time. Btw, there is a 20% to go fee implemented at all Waffle House units, so that is nothing specific to this location. This WH will serve above your expectations. I generally stop here when it's super late and there's nothing else open and I haven't eaten all day. I have not gotten any food that has been terrible, the service is always good and everybody's always friendly. I'll typically stick with the grits bowl of some sort and or a breakfast sandwich. You really can't go wrong usually! So I have faith in them for that. It's on the main Street so it's easy to find. And there's free parking. It's waffle House, it's nothing out of the box as far as what I could possibly describe to you LOL. This one is never treated me wrong. read more

Since moving to ATL it took us nearly 9 months to have our first official meal at Waffle House as a family and it was a great experience. Having a picky 2 year old, he enjoyed the waffles and bacon most, but he also had some of the hash browns. The staff was incredibly friendly and quick with service. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get (waffles are huge) and it's a no frills experience. Would definitely come back to this location in Brookhaven. read more

First time at this location, found on an internet search since I was in the area on business. All tables were filled but there were approx 5 vacant counter seats. The staff seemed a bit disorganized, as it took at least 5 mins of guests vacating a booth to be asked if we were waiting on one...hmm...okay. Then while the table was being cleared, that employee was being called to deliver readied entrees. Trash removal and food delivery shouldn't coincide. No one task appeared to be completed before moving to another. I would hate to see that crew try to juggle a busy crowd. The waitress motioned us over while the table was being cleaned but we opted to wait until it was. Eventually, we sat and the waitress appeared for our order but we still needed menus...Aah, another wait. Our order was delivered, without my coffee. Yet the check quickly appeared, with the coffee listed and an overcharge on both breakfasts. The restaurant patrons left, and the employees hunkered down to eat and peruse their phones, though no one thought to sweep the dirty floor nor possibly offer a small 'to go' cup of joe for the inconveniences. This is my favorite Waffle House in Atlanta! R and I used to come here most Sunday mornings pre-pandemic. We always tried to sit in our favorite server's area, because she memorized our orders and always received great service. We haven't come here that much since the pandemic started, and it looks like most of the crew has changed. Lots of free parking here, and Waffle House doesn't have to share the space with any other businesses because it's all alone on a corner, so there should always be available spaces. Service was pretty good today, and our server was very nice and had a good sense of humor. While we ate, she came over a couple of times to see how everything was going and asked if we needed anything. R ordered the hash brown bowl with hash browns, sausage, cheese, over easy eggs and onions. I ordered my usual hash brown bowl with hash browns, sausage, extra sausage, cheese, scrambled eggs and gravy. Our table was so close to the grill that I saw one of the cooks prepare our meals. Our server brought our meals to us just about straight off the grill, so the food was piping hot. And perfectly made. And delicious! We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My hash browns were crispy on the edges and firm on the inside. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, the sausage had good flavor, and the gravy had a perfect combination of peppery, sausage-y flavors going on. Watching the cooks do their things while I ate made me appreciate how quick and efficient they are at multitasking and making customers happy and satisfied. read more

So last week I discovered this waffle house by the Brookhaven Marta station. I love how close it is and it's convience for those waffle house cravings while traveling on Marta. I stopped in last week. There was one cook and one waitress. I promptly was seated,order taken and food was delivered hot and fresh. So fast forward to today. I had another one of them craving and though,hey I will stop by. I walked in went to the restroom and returned to be seated. However I was quickly told that they were only doing to go. I guess the waitress on duty didn't wanna wait tables. Thank God Atlanta has alot more waffle houses to visit. read more

I have a new favorite Waffle House! I still love the one on Piedmont, but my new favorite WaHo friends - especially Shameeka, she's just such a sweetie! - are at the Brookhaven post. I don't go that often, but after just a few visits, they remembered my face and my usual late-night order (hash browns and either a grilled cheese or a bacon-chicken-cheese melt on Texas toast) and they're always quick to say hello and ask what I want to drink, even when super-busy. It's also nice that there's lots of parking for when you're the DD, and that it's located across the street from one of my fave weekend spots, Pub 71, AND directly on my walkable path home! Plus, they're good and reliably quick with to-go orders (Tip: try calling them in during the "busy" 1-3am weekend night hours). This Waffle House and I were just destined to be pals! read more

This is my favorite Waffle House. When you think of Atlanta, you think of Waffle House. It is located right next to the Brookhaven MARTA station, so it can be accessed to anyone. Once you walk in, you have an employee that facilitates the seating (which is helpful on the busy weekends). We were seated promptly and greeted by Kheisa who was very nice and welcoming. She took our drink orders and gave us time to look over the menu. My wife and I both ordered the TX bacon, egg, and cheese melt. (I get extra pickles with mine!) the sandwiches were great, had nice flavor, and wasn't heavy either. This Waffle House staff seemed to know a lot of the regulars walking in. They knew their names and what they ordered which is a good sign if you ask me. We will definitely return. read more

Yep! All 5! I was visiting the hubs while he was working and we had a break to go to Waffle House. Now, I am a WH fan. You can't go wrong here. I will say that the customer service her was way above the usual! Praise the chicks that are so happy! As always I get the Al-Star. As usual is was delicious! When it comes to a quick and nothing fancy breakfast or a late night snack to soak up the fun there's the Waffle House in Brookhaven. It's right across the street from Hudson Grill and Marta, so it gets really packed out when the bars close. Since many years in the medical field late night in the ER or on the Ambulance I have been coming to Waffle House the food is really good at the all. Some are friendlier than most. Most all of the the bathroom aren't clean. However here they had 11 plus employees everyone of them were friendly. Our waitress was awesome. If we are ever in this part of Atlanta again I will definitely be back. There bathroom was even clean. read more

i used to visit this Waffle House two days a week. The wait staff (especially Keisha and Peacher) knew my order before I walked in the door and my drink was waiting for me. I have now been three times (given the proximity to my house) and the service is dismal. All three orders have been wrong. This last visit this week my raisin toast was so burnt that it was almost laughable they even put it down in front of me. my hash browns weren't covered so sent them back. They laid a piece of cold cheese on top of them and 5 mins later brought them back- cold hash browns. They didn't even attempt to recook them or warm them up. Management must do something or close up this location. Sadly, I won't go back to my two day a week favorite spot. What a shame. read more

I'd leave 0 stars if I could. I get off of work in the middle of the night/morning multiple days a week and order from here often. They NEVER answer the phone, literally never ever, take their time to take/ start our to- go orders when we come in. We are sitting here now, have been for 15 min, as soon as we walked in we were told that "it was gonna be a while" bc they were cleaning.. there are two other guests in here and I count 6 FOH Employees right now. I am always very polite and respectful and always tip 20% or more on my to- go order.. damn. 15 min later they just started making our food.. EDIT: actually it's about 5 min later and we just realized that our order JUST started being made and the one that was being made previously was ordered 10- ish minutes after we got here and placed our order. I'm slightly biased with this WH since it's so close to my home + it's really the ONLY one I go to whenever I feel like eating a waffle. I maybe come here once every 3-4 months, ha. Parking - Lots of spots if you come at an off time. But if you come here at prime time, GL finding a spot. I say 3/5 for parking. I came here randomly for lunch on the day of the Superbowl... wow, slammed to the max. Barely any spots available. Sheesh. I've never waited for a spot at WH till now. Space - Pretty small. One of the smallest WHs I've been to. I normally come at night time when no one is here. Service - I've had the kindest, funniest, and coolest servers here. They're pretty fun to talk to. Food: My only order: Chocolate Chip Waffles with a side of hash browns. For some reason, whenever I try to make my own waffles, the taste is bad. This is my favorite Waffle House in the area. The staff is amazingly friendly at any hour of the night no matter the crowds. And this Waffle House can be PACKED. I love coming here and listening to all the conversations that follow, and of course to get my smothered/cover/capped hashbrowns and toast. I LOVE Waffle House, this one has been kinda sketchy before but I'm leaving this review because of something that came up last night. I went there around 12:30am. Most of the tables were open and just a few people at the bar. The waitress said I had to pay $20 to "reserve" a table? I clarified and asked if this meant I needed to pay $20 to sit down in addition to the cost of my food?!?... she said yes. Like I said, I love Waffle House, but I'm not about to pay for a meal for my girlfriend and I, plus $20 to sit, plus tip...that's like $50 for some Waffle House? I'll go again, but this was just a weird situation. Idk...was this approved by management or did she just not want to work? We left without eating. Maybe that's why there were so many open tables? I understand these places are insanely busy on Sunday mornings, but there is NO excuse for the filth I encountered during my visit today. The usual menu and condiment holder was absolutely coated in syrup and who knows what. My table was unusually sticky despite being "cleaned" before I sat down. I ordered an omelet. When it arrived, I noticed it was somewhat opaque looking so I squished on it with my fork. I squeezed what appeared to be at least a quarter cup of lo-melt out onto my plate.
