My server was great, I didn't keep the receipt so I don't know who it was. Constantly checked on me if I needed anything. Got some free beignets since it was my first time. A nice touch. I love me some benedicts and I thought the hash brown one was a different twist. It's a good compromise than getting normal has browns. The grits are pretty thick, so if you like them a little looser I'd pass on them. Kind of a hidden gem because there were not a lot of people there in the morning. read more

I love going out for breakfast, and this restaurant happened to be along the hotel shuttle route. We were all freezing because they kept the temperature pretty low inside, even though it was hot outside. The service was okay, and we did enjoy our breakfast overall. I ordered the Southwest Scrambler with cheesy grits. The scramble was good, but the cheesy grits were just okay. Unfortunately, I've had better. read more

Kim was great! She is amazing at making people feel like family. The hostesses were nice. It wasn't too crowded but it was not empty. There was a steady flow of customers. The food was good. Nice portions. The atmosphere was casual and clean. Great place to relax, catch up with friends, or do some work while having good food and cocktails. read more

First and foremost the service was impeccable!! Our server was amazing her name was Azanie. She was attentive and on point. The food was so so. I ordered the chorizo and avocado omelette with a side of fruit and my better half had a grilled chicken blt with (in his words) delicious potato's. The chorizo in my opinion did not have that spicy flavor I was hoping for and it wasn't as red as what I usually buy‍ but hey maybe I'm used to red dye food coloring ‍. Don't get me wrong I finished it all but let's just say I'll try something else next time. It wasn't almost noon so it wasn't busy and the place was clean and we were seated immediately. I also ordered a regular coffee and hubby had a vanilla cold brew that he really enjoyed. read more

Started off with the hostess taking us to the table dropping the menus on the table then walking off not saying anything, we sat there then the waiter came over name Octavius. He took our drink request. Came back we ordered on my Benedict I wanted my egg fried hard ( my husband said she doesn't want it runny ) Octavius said " I know what that is" my husband said ok and the only reason he stressed that is because at another restaurant I said I wanted it fried hard but it was still runny. Moving on to Octavius came back picked up my coffee cup and started to pour more " I said oh no I don't want anymore" but he should have asked me before assuming. The food was not hot, my husband had the lemon garnish buried in his grits. I ordered smoked salmon Benedict and Octavius asked do you know what smoked salmon is so before asking me that he should have let me ask him what it was if I didn't know, It actually looked as if no care was put in to preparing the food it was just thrown together The customer service was poor customer service. read more

It's been a while since my last visit. Is there now an issue with those who have hearing sensitivities? Stopped by for an early brunch with my mom and was (at first) greeted by a friendly hostess. The place was 99% empty at the time. We had a booth, which was great. What wasn't great was the super loud music emanating from the speaker overhead. People go to restaurants to EAT and fellowship, not to have front row seats at a Celine Dion concert! Our server graciously took the sound down a couple of notches, but I still had trouble hearing my mother and had to ask my mom to repeat herself. When the friendly hostess passed back by, I explained that I had limited hearing and was having trouble hearing my mom because the music was elevated. To my surprise, the friendly hostess changed personalities. Gone were the smile and pleasant demeanor. Instead of "Holly Jolly," out came Samantha the Scrooge, who clearly has no empathy for the hard of hearing. The attitude was huff and puff. She begrudgingly obliged, and when she whizzed by again, I offered sincere gratitude but I received a full on grunt from her in return. Definitely making it clear to me that she took PERSONAL issue with the request. Certainly, the hostess is not getting paid to listen to music, something she can do on break, in her car, or at home. Surely, she is getting paid to show hospitality to those of us contributing to her weekly pay. It wasn't like we were going to be there until the cows came home. Just a 2-hour peaceful meal, after which, Scrooge was welcome to jack the music back up to night club status! That being said, the food is high quality and our server was excellent. Warm, pleasant demeanor and tended to us nicely... the kind of genuine qualities that you'd expect from ALL front of the house staff. Samantha Scrooge didn't wish us a great day on our way out either... something pretty customary for a hostess. Perhaps she could better serve in the back of the house, where she could don headphones and be-bop her way for a paycheck with no customer contact. This is not to discourage anyone with hearing needs or disabilities to avoid the restaurant. Ignore the nice-nasty, I-need-loud-music hostess. Just ask for a manager instead. read more

tried the Chicken & Waffles and the Southern Breakfast, and honestly... they tasted like ANXIETY . The flavors just weren't locked in. The chicken and waffles lacked seasoning, so nothing really stood out. It felt unfinished. The beignets were disappointing too. They were hard and dense -- almost like biscuits left too long in the air fryer and then coated heavily in sugar. The texture just wasn't there. The only thing that was decent was the syrup. That was actually okay. read more

Went in to get coffee and a light breakfast while I was between appointments. Waited by the host station for quite awhile. No one ever came. I could see a server was taking care of a table on one side, customers were on the other side having been served. Since no one ever came, I went across the street to First Watch, was greeted right away and seated. A few minutes passed and server came to take my order. I won't be back to Another Broken Egg because of this lack of attention especially after hearing door ring when the or was opened. read more

A friend and I hopped in for brunch. I do have to say that they have some very kind and nice staff. We were very well taken care of and the waitress was very patient as we took forever to decide what to get (I attribute this to the zillion menu options). My friend got an OJ and I got some coffee to start with. My friend ordered the Lobster Brie Omelette with potatoes and English muffin. I ordered the Skinny Omelette with fruits and English muffin. My friend enjoyed her omelette (I assume). I wish I could say that. There was no spice whatsoever and it was rather very salty. I couldn't eat past two bites. And as someone who was starving, that's saying something. For the price point, it did not make any sense to what I got. Maybe this was an off day or maybe skinny omelette isn't the right order- either way, this won't be my go-to brunch spot. read more

A pretty solid standard breakfast choice. They have a waiting list but you don't necessarily have to put yourself on because a lot of times it won't be fully here I was there on a weekend morning, and had no issue. I got for the front and was able to get a seat right away. Everybody was friendly and make sure that I got seated immediately. All the service was good, I have no complaints about that. They checking us for times to make sure that everything was good at the table. It's a very open area. There is no outdoor fee, but there's plenty of things. It's on the corner of the strip mall so they have the whole corner for the most part so you can basically never really have to wait I assume. Unless if that crime after church brunch time lol. I wanted to get the pancakes. Regular, nothing special about them just good old fashioned with no extra bells and whistles. Just straight buttermilk and they were actually good. I also went with the brunch special, the Mardi gras on. Shrimp crawfish and sausage, it was super solid! It comes with potatoes, and I got a side of fruits as well cuz why not lol. I want to be a glutton, let me be a full glutton. But they have a whole lot more options. You can basically get whatever you want on these pancakes that they are serving, all types of fruits and cream cheeses and everything so they have a lot to try. Overall I would definitely go back. The food is solid, the services friendly and inviting, I don't have any complaints. read more

It's been awhile since I have eaten at Another Broken Egg Cafe in the Dunwoody area in Atlanta, GA but let me tell you, coming back to revisit this gem is always a good choice! The food is still amazingly delicious and the customer service is still impeccable. I dined with a friend of mine for a girls brunch and everything we ordered was amazing. I ordered the "Hey Lucy Omelette". The dish came with Chorizo, onions and green chilies omelette, topped with Cheddar Jack cheese and avocado. Sides of salsa and sour cream. The meal also comes with an English muffin and country potatoes. I couldn't help myself but I had to order some grits to accompany my meal and their city grits are so delicious. The city grits come with cheese and topped with baked bacon, green onions and tomatoes and let me tell you, you will be very sad after the last bite is gone. Another Broken Egg was really doing something when they came up with the concept of the ingredients in their city grits because I couldn't stop raving about them. I give this meal a 10/10. I left feeling satisfied and still wanting more city grits. smh. lol This location is one of my favorite location to come to. They have a waitlist so that helps when you're planning a visit. The restaurant was clean, inviting and is always great for a simple breakfast that ends up being a great choice and time well spent. Stopped here before dropping my boyfriend off at the airport and wanted to have a unique breakfast. We both tried the lobster hash Benedict which was filled with ingredients. My boyfriend ordered his with scrambled eggs and I chose to keep my eggs poached. Unfortunately when my order came out as you can see in the photos my eggs were not poached correctly. I don't know if the order was sitting or if the eggs were over cooked but yoke was stiff. The rest of the meal was good as it was topped with a lobster mix, eggs, fried onions and a hollandaise sauce on a hash brown. On the side I got the delicious city grits and my boyfriend got potatoes. Both were really good and satisfying. The restaurant was more spacious than the other location in Smyrna I visited before. The parking was more plentiful also due to the location being within a big plaza with other shops surrounding. Our server was kind and offered great menu suggestions based on our needs. I forgot his name. But overall a decent morning choice for breakfast. read more

Busy brunch spot! Located in a shopping center in Dunwoody there is plenty of parking at this location. Upon arrival at 11am on a Saturday the wait was a little over 30 min. I did notice on walking in that their health score was in the 70's which was concerning. However, continued anyways after waiting. The menu has plenty of vegetarian items from savory to sweet! I tried the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes. They were good- for some reason I was thinking the pancakes would be flavored vs just having goat cheese/ blueberries on top. The pancakes though were just plain nothing special minus the small amount of toppings. My friend had the hash brown Benedict and enjoyed it. The total was less than 20$ per person and a large portion. read more

A nasty attitude from a greeter leads to empty seats. I hope the greeter working this morning, around 9:15, is not the owner. If so, she cares less about how she greets or welcomes guests. She needs to work on her attitude. She is not doing guests any favors. read more

There's a lot of breakfast/brunch places in the are from First Watch to Snooze. Across the highway, there's another egg based place called Egg Harbor. How does Another Broken Egg compare? This is one of the original franchises. It's been at this location for over 10 years. You can kinda see the age. But the place still looks clean. Another Broken Egg is more of a Southern styled breakfast/brunch place. They started in Louisiana so they have some Louisiana themed stuff such as Jambalaya and "Mardi Gras Omelet." The other breakfast/brunch places in the area are more trendy and hip. But it's good to have a more traditional breakfast place too. The food is okay. I mean it's a breakfast place. I'm not a huge fan of breakfast food. The pancakes and french toasts are basically sugar bombs filled with sugar, syrup, and other junk. It's not the healthiest thing, but if you like those, they give you generous portions of it. I ordered eggs over medium, and they came out over easy. But 99% of the places can't make eggs over medium so it's okay. The service was good. They don't have tap to pay option like the cool kids are doing these days. So you have to take your card out to pay. Other than that, the service was fine. If you want a traditional, Southern breakfast, this is a decent place to go in the area. read more

Arrived with a Party of 3. Signed up for the waitlist before entering. Since it was Friday morning, we had around a 15 minute wait before we were seated. So many options on the menu and I'm glad they gave recommendations for what drinks to pair with the seasonal dishes. One friend and I shared the Strawberry St. Germaine Mimosa Pitcher while the other got the Cranberry Cocktail Mimosa. Taking advantage of the seasonal options I got the Steelhead Trout and Grits and it was phenomenal. They had an in house Pepper Sauce and it paired nicely with the fish and eggs. My friends had the Smoked Salmon Benedict and Bacquezo Omelette respectively. We tried each others dishes and both were really nice. Lots of great options here. We also shared two stacks of the pancakes. The Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes!!!! Wow. The sharpness of the goat cheese balanced the sweetness of the blueberry and pancakes. We didn't even put syrup on it. The Bourbon Pancakes? Amazing! Bananas and Pecans already go well together and the bourbon adds another dimension to it. And the beignets were a nice finish! read more

It's times like this where I wish it was possible to give a half a star! This is a such a cute spot, but there were a couple of hiccups that make it a 3 1/2. First things first, while this is a chain restaurant this location is POPIN! It right next to the mall so if you are going on a weekend, make sure you get a reservation. Otherwise you could be waiting 45 minutes - 1 1/2 hours The service here is very friendly! The waitress and the food runners were conversational. We were visiting from out of town and they offered up some great suggestions The food is where it gets tricky. It was really just okay. I had my heart set on the crab cake and fried green tomatoes, only to find out that they no longer sell it, but they haven't updated their menus yet. I get it, that happens, but def scratch it off the menu until the new ones arrive. Very disheartening when your mind was set on something! Anywhoo we ended up with the crab cake Benedict and salmon Benedict. The crab cake was okay. It lacked some of the flavor I'm used to. The hollandaise sauce also lacked flavor, though I am thinking it's became they normally put bacon in it. I don't eat pork so I got it without it. The salt and smoke of the bacon probably liven it up. The salmon Benedict was good. My dining companion really enjoyed it. The mimosas were a bit on the sweet side. So sweet we didn't even finish them. Overall would give it another go and try some of the other items on the menu. read more

My best friends and I had brunch at Another Broken Egg Cafe in Dunwoody. The main thing that I would advise anyone reading this is that they do not have reservations on weekends (or any day). You can use Yelp to add yourself to the wait list and this essentially puts you on the guest list, but the wait time may vary. Our wait time was about 49 minutes, but we were able to place our name in from the hotel nearby. We checked in by the time listed on the wait list page and were seated within 3 minutes of the hostess checking us in in person. If we return, I'd place my name on the list early like maybe an hour before I want to arrive, because this will ensure that you're not waiting super long! There were over 20 people ahead of us. Once seated, our waitress came by to take our drink orders. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. My friends ordered the blueberry lemon mimosas. I skipped the mimosas and ordered the Belgium waffle with andouille sausage, scrambled eggs with cheese, country potatoes and city grits. I LOVED the city grits and the waffle was soo fluffy. The andouille sausage was a little salty and the country potatoes and eggs needed salt. I would come back again for those grits! My best friend said the chicken and waffles were really good, so I'd try that in the future. Overall, it was a good experience. read more

This is the worst another broken egg I've ever been to. We were told 30 minute wait time and was skipped multiple times. Finally one person from my party asked why wait time extended and was basically told that we had too many people (5 of us). They sat us at 2 different tables away from each other. It's extremely cold temperatures outside and the restaurant is freezing as well. Apparently their heater is broken. Food was slow to arrive to table and wasn't tasty as I expected.
