Report a Ripoff New quiet Junk Fees J Christopher's Restaurant 1438 Dresden Dr Brookhaven, Ga 404-467-0110 brookhaven@jchristophers.com They are now charging without any fanfare a " supplemental fee" to all transactions. I just noticed it on my bill and it is a percent % of the total cost. The waitress said there is a "little paper sign on the entrance door about it" It says: "We apply a supplemental fee to all transactions . Please know, this is not considered revenue. It helps offset the rising food industry fees." They have also raised the cost of the meals??

    Grits pie!

I can't say enough good things about this place! The savory grits pie is absolutely incredible--similar to quichcomforting, flavorful, and unlike anything I've ever tasted. It's one of those dishes you think about for days afterward. On top of that, the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. A truly wonderful experience all around!

    Huevos Avocado, it was great!!!

Great clean modern place in a great location. The service was great as well. Flew into PDK airport and the ladies at Aero Center said they always recommend this place. I had the Huevos Avocado. It's an English muffin topped with sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, melted mixed cheese and poached egg (had mine scrambled). Served with black beans and breakfast potatoes. Highly recommend this place!!

So this is a standard breakfast spot. Decent food for breakfast and lunch. The one in Brookhaven is in a string of bars, shops, and restaurants, so it's a great area to walk around too. I had a friendly experience, the service was fast, the food was good. It was not anything overly dazzling, but it was solid if all you needed was a breakfast or a brunch spot that you wouldnt have to worry about hookah or trap music (not everyone is into that in Atlanta I guess lol). Think diner food when you come here. The bacon was good, the pancakes are huge, the bowl (with a biscuit) is okay in size but pretty filling. Its not knock your socks off breakfast and brunch but it will definitely get th job done.

It's sort of an upscale breakfast diner. Everyone is extremely friendly and get you seated right away. The staff is excellent. The food is good, the maple toast was delicious. The coffee is pretty good. The potatoes are all right and the scrambled eggs are good. I got the turkey bacon so it was as expected. fairly clean inside. Tons of parking in the area located in a really nice place. Prices are obviously very decent. They have a huge menu selection including breakfast pancakes, eggs, toast, grits among other things. They also have a decent lunch selection. I do recommend coming here. Fast excellent service. Foods not bad to and it definitely hits the spot when you're hungry. Lots of coffee selections as well. They also have like a diner seating area in the front, bar style. There's also outdoor seating.

Came to J. Christopher's for the first time in well over a year. This was one of my favorite after-mass breakfast places, and I'd come to the location once or twice a month. Free parking in the lot behind the restaurant was easy to find. R and I entered through the back door. There was a host station just inside, and no one was staffing it, so we kept walking toward the paining dining area. A server saw us and told us that we could sit anywhere that didn't have a blue X made with tape on the table. We looked around, and the tables without Xs on them allowed for acceptable social distancing. We chose a table and sat down. While waiting for our server, I didn't really notice any big changes in the restaurant, other than most of the servers were different than the regulars who used to work here. The employees wore face masks, and face masks are required for customers. Paintings, most of them colorful and some of them in black in white, took up much of the wall space. All of the tables were stripped down - no spices, no napkins, no condiments ... nothing. There are tables outside in the side patio that is shaded by the building. Our server came by with eating utensils wrapped in a cloth napkin, and two menus. She took our drink order. While she was gone, I noticed that they had St Patrick's Week Specials still going on, so I checked them out and noticed they had a Reuben sandwich as one of the specials. Our server returned with our drinks and took our orders. I ordered the Reuben sandwich special with oven-roasted potatoes. R ordered the spinach and bacon skillet which included two sunny side up eggs. After about 10 minutes, our food was served. Just like the service, the food was just ok. My Reuben sandwich was soggy on the bottom, and there wasn't very much meat in it - maybe three slices of corned beef, if that, that was cooked on the grill before being put in the sandwich with sauerkraut and everything else. I don't suggest getting this sandwich. The oven-roasted potatoes looked great, but were dry and a little crunchy. Meh. R said his food was good. When we were done eating, we wanted the check, but the server wasn't around. We had to wait another five minutes before we saw here, and R flagged her down. When we were leaving, there was no acknowledgement from any of the employees, so this was consistent with us not being acknowledged when we entered. Overall, the mid to high energy and excellent customer service that this location had pre-pandemic fell to low energy level and not so good customer focus.

Loved the portion size however it wasn't the best food I've ever had. The service was ok, our server handed us our check before we got our food.

    J. Christopher's is a wonderful brunch spot. They have locations all around town and the food is amazing. The only downfall is they don't serve up alcohol to go with their delicious brunch food. So, two of my friends work at this location and one of them brought quesadillas to one of our hang outs. I had no clue they had quesadillas and had no clue their quesadillas were amazing! Seriously, they were the best I've had, besting out the old style quesadillas they used to serve up at Chili's (before they changed their recipe and the quesadillas went downhill). The tortilla is nicely grilled and crispy, and there is the perfect amount of cheese & chicken. Plus, the beans! Oh my, very tasty. I decided to order take out last week from here and get the chicken quesadillas. The place is in a quaint spot in Brookhaven, nestled in off the sidewalk. You can find a ton of parking behind the building or opt for street parking. The place is very small but nice. I'd say they have about 10-12 booths and 6-8 tables. Very open. They were following social distancing protocol with spacing out guests and wearing gloves & masks. This spot is perfect if you have any safety concerns. I got my quesadillas home and they were better than the previous time. Highly recommend you try out the quesadillas!

Had the sausage skillet in this really clean and cozy spot. Flavors were on point, but service took its sweet time. Still, solid experience in a comfy setting made it a decent meal.

Very good brunch here. We enjoyed the sausage skillet, big breakfast, turkey sandwich, and salad. All tasty and delicious. Good and friendly service too. We'll be back again someday.

I came here for some brunch after church on a Sunday and left the place more than satisfied. When I walked in I was greeted with happy faces, despite the fact that it was Christmas Eve and all he stresses that come with the holiday season, and I goes to sit at the "bar." The menu has great options that cover all the go to breakfast items and variations. I chose to order the steak and eggs with breakfast potatoes and a chocolate chip pancake. I also ordered a chai tea latte. The employees work efficiently and take the time to check in and have the right amount of small talk! The latte was so good, and he steak and eggs were cooked to perfection! The prices were extremely reasonable. I will be back. There is 2 hour street parking and other cute shops to browse after eating.

Why wasn't my biscuit hot? Like, that really bothers me when I get a room temperature biscuit and cold butter. What am I supposed to do with that? The rest of the meal was good and thankfully the offer a good cup of coffee. I. Really hoping it was an off day for them because I really would like to give them another try. Covid protocols were being practiced and they have parking g in the rear of the building as well as metered parking out front.

We had to make a decision quickly when we were pivoting, and when we came across the great reviews and photos of the food. we didn't think twice about checking to see if we could make it happen. When we arrived, the staff was already preparing our table, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

One thing I really loved was the photo booth outside in the parking garage--it was such a fun touch and made the visit even more memorable. The only downside was the parking. Unless you're lucky enough to find street parking, you'll have to park in the garage, which wasn't my favorite. Other than that, everything was great. The bartender was incredibly kind and patient, especially since I'm very picky about drinks. She helped me choose one that I ended up loving. The atmosphere inside was also really nice, with a fun and welcoming vibe. I'd definitely come back!

SUPER unimpressed with my visit here…read more Based on the decor, especially the photo area in the parking deck and the fake flower arch outside, my first impression was that this was going to be a "TikTok trap": a restaurant focused more on aesthetics than food or service. Unfortunately, that impression ended up being accurate. It took forever for our food to come out. The parties around us were clearly frustrated as well. I watched one table become visibly irritated, while another guest stopped a server to ask if the food being carried out was theirs because they had apparently been waiting over an hour. As the wait dragged on, I started paying closer attention to the decor, which I personally found tacky and gimmicky, especially the fake greenery hanging across the ceiling. The fried green tomatoes and sweet heat wings were really good, and I started to rethink my initial assessment of the restaurant. Everything went downhill from there. My "Rich Boy" sandwich itself was good, but it came with completely unseasoned fries. When I mentioned that I was supposed to have the "Rolex" fries, the server told me the plain fries were what I got. After clarifying with another server, they brought out the actual "Rolex" fries, which appeared to just be fries with a little parmesan and parsley on top. Supposedly they were truffle fries, but there wasn't even a hint of truffle flavor. My partner ordered the veggie sausage, which was overcooked and dry. Their eggs came out over easy instead of over medium, and the "signature grits" were more like cream cheese with a little bit of grits mixed in. We were told more grits would be brought out, but they never came. Another person in my party ordered the Southern seafood pasta, which had literally one piece of spinach in it. When she asked about it, the server responded that there was "more spinach coming." At that point, it became clear that Barney's is selling the illusion of luxury in order to justify premium prices for subpar food and service. It really was a TikTok trap after all. To make matters worse, when the check came, we were charged an additional $1.50 for eggs that already came with the meal. The explanation was that the eggs "came from the shell." Others in my party were also charged extra for liquor on top of the listed menu price for their drinks. Overall, I absolutely did not enjoy my experience here, and I will not be returning. Oh, and that other party that was visibly irritated with the wait had to wait even longer because there was a hair in their food.

I only found out when I got the bill. When I questioned it, she basically said she couldn't control the system. My issue isn't even the $3. If you're out of the side that comes with the meal, customers shouldn't have to pay extra for a replacement. And I definitely don't appreciate surprise charges on my bill. I had my child with me, so I wasn't about to go back and forth over $3. I paid it and kept it moving. Another surprise was that they don't offer free water. If you want water, you have to buy a bottle. Between paying for parking, paying for bottled water, and no drink refills, the little charges started adding up. I felt "nickled and dimed." The music couldn't decide what vibe it wanted. One minute we could talk normally, and the next minute we were basically at a concert. There was also a leak in the ceiling, and near the restrooms there was a smell that reminded me of old wet towels. On the positive side, the host was amazing. He was super personable and welcoming. They also turn those tables over FAST. By the time we paid, our dishes were gone and the table was already cleaned and ready for the next group. The food is what saved this review.
