Brunch, chicken sausage, potatoes, gouda grits, eggs

Really good brunch here! Thank goodness because Brookhaven needs it. I came in and sat at the beautiful and large bar, where they have several tv's for your viewing pleasure. I went with a basic scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, breakfast potatoes, and gouda grits. I also had a pineapple mimosa on the side. Sheesh!! What a delicious breakfast. The chicken sausage was links and it was moist and had a great bite. The grits were the real stand out here, I can't wait to try those again! The bartender/server was phenomenal and did a great job checking in with me but giving me space as well. They had a lot of seating, indoor and outdoor. They also have like a walk-up bar. They had beautiful Christmas decor up which added to my delight. They validate parking for 2 hours which is much appreciated.

Go hungry if you want to enjoy this meal! WOW, I could not believe the portions and flavor packed into this meal. Our girls had the best time at Confab. Hannah was an amazing server and recommended all the things for us to try. Our friend, Sara, is a regular so they knew just what she wanted. The cheese curds are like the ones you would get at the fair and I am not mad about it! It's almost like a light tempura batter with a very unique dipping ketchup. To me, they were perfect on their own. No ketchup needed. Because, of course I wanted just about everything on the menu I had to settle for just a few items to split with my girls. The fried chicken biscuit is a monster. The biscuit is obviously homemade and the chicken was crispy and flavorful. We also tried the lobster roll, which a lighter option but also very good. Pomme Frites for the win! They come in a cute little basket and have just the right amount of salt on them. I almost forgot My cocktail! The "only yu" comes in a coupe glass and was a great accompaniment for my heavy meal. I could go on and on about this little brunch spot!

Super cute area a restaurant! We went for brunch and got the mimosa pitcher which was lovely! You had the option of orange, passion fruit, or cranberry. Food was also delicious and large portions. Our waitress was also very patient with us as we were talking so much it took us so long to actually get orders in (oops!) but it was worth the wait 10/10 recommend

We had a great experience at this establishment. Glad I found them in the local paper! The whole experience was amazing. We went to brunch and tried the Scottish quail eggs and cheese curds as appetizers. Amazing start to the meal. My sweetheart drank a Pear Pressure and liked it very much. Entrees were the wagyu burger and veggie crepe, with added scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. We loved both of them. I'm not a vegetarian but that crepe with the basil cream sauce was special. All sauces are house-made and the food was great quality. We also had a chance to meet the owner, Doug, and our server, Hana, just added the cherry on top. Definitely recommend.

So far my favorite spot for modern American and classic European flavors! I really enjoyed their grilled oyster, scotch quail eggs, lobster roll, and bread pudding! They also have brunch and happy hour, I can't wait to go again!

Confab continues to impress with concept, service, and ambiance - it's easily one of the best spots in the neighborhood on those fronts. Jessica, our server, was a standout, attentive and knowledgeable. The new outdoor TVs at the bar are a game changer, and Sunday Ticket for football fans is a great touch. The area of opportunity is still kitchen ops & execution of dishes... Food: * Tuna tostadas: Loved these! Well-balanced, good quality tuna, maybe slightly heavy on the mayo. Two chips were a bit stale, but still fantastic overall. * Grouper bites: Perfect * Steak tartare: Delicious. Hand made potato chips were also excellent. * Octopus: Cook was a touch off - slightly gummy outside; would shine with a quick char or crisp finish. Sauce seemed like it had been sitting, but flavors were still good * Broccolini: Absolutely craveable! perfectly charred with crunchy topping. Romanesco sauce is a winner! * Grouper: Subbed grits for root veggies due to diary allergy. Initially served undercooked but kitchen quickly fixed it. I'd love to try with the artichoke/puttanesca prep * Lobster roll: Very good, Excello value, surprisingly enjoyable cold. Bun size perfect for the portion, claws were legit! Subbed fries for asparagus since we'd eaten our bodyweight in food haha * Asparagus: Really good, nice grilled flavor Overall, still a spot we'll return to, and always excited to see what's next on the menu!

One of our favorite neighborhood spot for great service, food, and drinks! Great location with a nice large indoor and outdoor bar.

    Peach bread pudding

Share plates - Fritters were similar to a hushpuppy but slightly different. Wings were not very meaty. Both appetizers were just ok. Would probably order something else next time. Lobster roll had good flavor. Decent amount of lobster. Chicken thigh roulade - chicken was good, dirty rice had organ meat (liver?) mixed in that was not listed on menu. Peach bread pudding - bread pudding needed to be slightly sweeter and should have been serviced with ice cream instead of whipped cream. Ambiance - laid back but loud Service was good.

    Mussels

What a great meal! We stumbled into Confab walking down Dresden and loved everything! Live music, attentive service and GREAT food! Plus they are super festive for the holidays. We tried the Beet and Burratta appetizer, the mussels and Lobster Roll (20/10) - sadly didn't get a picture of the lobster roll. Guess we need to go back for another

Caesar Salad with Kale and Grilled Salmon

Good service, we went there for brunch and had a wonderful time. Nice, spacious and clean restaurant. Close by so we'll definitely be in again!

They're about to hit 70 years this May, and it makes sense the second you walk in. The inside is about as classic diner as it gets. Comfortable booths, old-school feel, and a front counter with snacks, shirts, and little items for sale that just add to the charm. The staff is what really takes it over the top. Nikki has been my server multiple times, and she's amazing. She's usually singing or whistling along to whatever music is playing, and it honestly puts you in a good mood without you even realizing it. Service like that is rare. Food-wise, I've tried several things now, and everything has been great, but here are my top standouts: The catfish is one of my favorites. It comes in strips, fried perfectly, and packed with flavor. Chicken and waffles are excellent. The waffle is crispy on the outside and soft inside instead of fluffy, and it works really well. The chicken itself is seriously flavorful -- not just crispy, but seasoned really well all the way through. But the biggest surprise for me: The country ham with red-eye gravy. I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be the best ham I've ever had. It's thinly sliced, so you don't have to deal with a thick, chewy cut, and it's full of flavor. The red-eye gravy that the ham is marinated in (which I was told is a family recipe) takes it to another level. They also give you extra on the side to dip. If you mix that ham with over-easy eggs and hash browns, then grab a bite with a biscuit... that's one of the best breakfast bites I've had in a long time. And to top it all off, it just pairs perfectly with a nice, cold Diet Coke. Something about that combo just works. And to be clear, it's not just one or two good items -- everything I've had here has been great. I've also tried the omelet, the chicken biscuit with egg and cheese, and the country fried steak, and they've all been consistently delicious. They have a large breakfast menu, and I still haven't even gotten into lunch yet. Only thing to keep in mind is parking. There is a lot on the side, but it fills up quickly since other businesses share the area. If you come at a busy time, it might take a minute to find a spot. Overall, this is one of those places you keep coming back to. Spots like this are part of the community and deserve the support. Wishing them another 100 years.

The Silver Skillet is exactly that. No, they don't serve cappuccinos with breakfast. Yes, the fried pork chop will have bones on it. In other words, stop complaining. Silver Skillet is exactly the opposite of modern brunch and breakfast. Having opened in 1956 and having served as a backdrop for countless films and tv shows, it preserves the most classic diner experience that remains in Atlanta. Not only does it feel like stepping into a movie set, but the experience of being around the people who worked here their whole life and the most classic execution of every detail in preparation is what makes Silver Skillet so special. Let's make sure to love it for what it is and preserve it. If it is not someone's cup of tea, nobody is dragging them back here to eat deep fried pork chops every day.
