We found parking along with side of the building and strolled in to the counter to place our orders. Cashier was very helpful and patient for our first time visit. We loved all of the vegetarian options. Pricing seemed low but then portion size is small. If you are hungry, I would recommend an additional item to either share or gobble up yourself! Such a cozy cafe! My friend and I stopped by for lunch and immediately loved the festive Christmas decor. Even though the place was packed, the wait for a table wasn't too long, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. For drinks, my friend ordered the Chai Latte ($5.50) and I went with the Matcha Latte ($6). The chai was delicious! The taste of cinnamon and cardamom really came through, and it had just the right amount of sweetness. Unfortunately, the matcha didn't hit the mark for me. As a matcha lover, I was disappointed that it tasted watered down and had an off, slightly fishy smell. The food, thankfully, was much better. I ordered the Mushroom Schnitzel Pita ($21), served with greens, tahini, harissa, and a side salad. The mushroom was cooked perfectly, and the flavors came together nicely, though I would have loved a bit more heat from the harissa. My friend ordered the Shakshuka ($19). Torn between 3 and 4 stars but ended up with 4 bc I think food matters the most lol. We came to daily chew for book club on a Sunday. It was a bit busy but we were able to be seated pretty quickly. I had a matcha latte and a brekkie pita. The brekkie pita was absolutely amazing! Loved everything about it and the side salad was a nice add for a healthier breakfast. Portion size was also perfect. The whole table really enjoyed all of their food, so I definitely think food is the Daily Chew's strong suit. Unfortunately the matcha was awful. It was super watered down and the color was meh. I honestly make much better ones at home! The rest of the table got coffee and it seems like they liked theirs, so coffee is the way to go! There is outdoor and indoor seating that slowly filled up throughout the morning. The service was friendly and quick! My friend and I decided to get their Eggy Avocado Toast for our brunch date. I think that the meal was a bit too plain for me. I got too much avocado for my liking and I wish the scrambled eggs were seasoned with salt and pepper. The saving grace of the meal was probably the caramelized onions at the bottom, as well as the harissa as both added some flavor to the toast. After we finished eating, we were given a single slice of watermelon to refresh our mouths, which was sweet! Overall, I think Daily Chew is a bit overpriced for the quality of their food ($16 for my somewhat bland toast!!!). If I came back, I would get the Ricotta Hotcakes as they looked really appetizing. I would probably rate it a 3.5/5 stars if possible. However, I do think that the vibes of this place are pretty chill and it is worth checking out if you are looking for some simple brunch foods. read more

Finding the Daily Chew reminded me of breakfast spots in Portland, OR. The decor is greens and white with houseplants scattered around and unique tables and seats. It's got seating inside and outside so in the short window when Atlanta weather is pleasant, outside is smart especially if you have a big party. The seating inside is designed for parties of 2 and parties of 4. Here's what I got: 1) Drip coffee - the server said it was standout and she was right. I typically take my drip black and was right away hit with earthy notes that stated quality coffee. Normally, I'd just make coffee at home and save on the cost but this cup was well worth the experience. 2) Mushroom Schnitzel Pita - wow. That's all I have to say. The flavor and mouth feel was fantastic with a very satisfying crunch and a nice meaty bite of mushroom. 3) Boerewors - I wanted a bit more protein for lunch and was glad to go with this. The spicing used was tasty and the sausage was delectable. All in all, the Daily Chew is the kind of place I'd go when the day is slow and you can stop and smell the roses (or the coffee in this case). read more

The food is amazing! This eatery came to my attention while looking for neighborhood places to eat. Within a few days, my partner called to ask if I wanted him to bring me some food, and without hesitation, asked him to go to the Daily Chew. I ordered the smoked salmon pita, and he ordered the mushroom schnitzel pita. We were both thoroughly pleased with our meals, despite a bit pricier than would normally pay for a sandwich of sorts. I will say that I do not regret as everything was extremely fresh and well marinated. The addition of capers was truly a treat as I cook with them on seared salmon often, but rarely get in sandwiches. Love by golden latte, beverage, and the selection of other healthier coffee options that I plan to explore in the future. Not too sweet with just the right amount of spices. New favorite day off lunch spot. The staff are incredibly friendly and genuinely welcoming. There is a beautiful outdoor eating area with white ornamental metal tables and chairs, and the inside is open but filled with many small two-top or larger tables. Despite how full it is, it doesn't feel overwhelming, but rather like a calm, familiar coffee shop. The coffee drinks are ample and there's usually a special syrup, most recently chocolate chai, yum! They also have alcoholic bevvies, including a pretty solid Bloody Mary and some other traditional and signature cocktails, as well as wine options. Their food is incredible. Everything I've had has been amazing. The truffle chicken salad sandwich is a crowd fave, with grilled bread, best with a few shakes of salt. There's a carrot and potato latke stack with eggs of your choice (I choose scrambled), smoked salmon and is savory and delicious comfort food! The brekkie pita is large, hearty and very flavorful. The sausage is yummy and I love the creamy sauce paired with it! This is shareable or something you can take half home. Parking *can* be a bear due to how popular this place is coming, and nearby apartments, but a few loops and I've been able to find street parking every time. TLDR: this place is awesome. We had a brunch reservation for 3 for 11:00 am on Sunday, 10/8/23. We made the reservation on Seated, an app where you earn money back on meals at certain restaurants (use my code erin2109 and we both get $10!), so we got a percentage back! I got Steve's Plate ($21) and we all split the Sweet Galette ($7). It was all tasty, especially the mushroom schnitzel, but it felt overpriced. My friend got the Brekkie Pita ($16) and thought it was okay. Another friend got the Everyday ($18) and again, it just seems pricey for what she got. The percent back from Seated helps! Another wonderful hidden gem in Atlanta. For it to be so off the beaten path, you can tell on arrival this place is uber popular amongst its return patrons. And on our first visit we see why. The food is utterly delicious. For a israeli + South African feeling menu, you may be googling some of the ingredients, however bet on a good result. We had carrot and potato latke stack for the first time and are now trying to make them at home. The truffle chicken salad melt tasted as if it was spritzed with just enough truffle oil to hit both your palate and nose. Daily Chew is a super cute spot to have a nice relaxing breakfast or lunch. They have nice outdoor seating and its away from commotion so you can sit and chat with friends while eating. My cousins and I shared the Hummus plate, Avocado Toast, Veggie Schnitzel Pita, and we were dying to try the Ricotta Hotcakes but they had just ran out so they made us french toast instead. Everything we ate was super delicious, especially the french toast. I had hardly any complaints! The one thing I'll say is that the radishes on the hummus plate were incredibly fibrous and hard to eat. Other than that, amazing. read more

This is a cute little restaurant nestled in Buckhead / Morningside just off of Cheshire Bridge rd. Does not look much from the outside, but once you enter, the decor inside is very cozy and inviting. They have patio seating too, and sipping coffee early in the morning sitting on their patio is a perfect thing to do! My wife and I popped in here for breakfast on a friday and we were pleasantly surprised with everything - the food, service and ambience. The food was super fresh and healthy. All their ingredients are locally sourced, so fresh is their USP. The servers were attentive and gave good suggestions. We ended up ordering the breakfast pita and the everyday breakfast. Stopped in this past Saturday for breakfast. They open at 9am on the weekends. I came in just a little past 9. They have limited parking in the parking lot but it wasn't an issue since it wasn't too crowded when I came. There were a few people already there when I came. You order at the counter right as you walk in. The menu isn't huge but there are some really tasty things to choose from! I got the hotcakes which are new and only available on the weekends. I also got a vanilla latte with almond milk. They give you a number and you can seat yourself. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I sat at a table inside. They brought over my coffee first. It was some quality coffee! A very tasty latte. My pancakes came out shortly after. They were topped with jam and labneh and came with a side of syrup. The portions are huge but it's enough! The hotcakes were tasty! Not overly sweet. I'd love to come back to try the jam toast or one of the savory options! Also the pastries look amazing! The cookie caught my eye in particular. ROTISSERIE CAULIFLOWER + EGGPLANT BOWL - $16 Rotisserie cauliflower, fried eggplant, red baba, sumac onions, green tahini, avocado, quinoa, greens ... and it's gluten-free and vegan. I fell in love just reading all the unique ingredients, and it was even better in my mouth! Who does rotisserie cauliflower? And what looked like sliced potatoes were sliced eggplants that were so yummy. The fresh avocado and lettuce also complemented well with the other warm ingredients. I can't even imagine all the experimentation that probably happened behind the scenes to get the right ingredients together. I could definitely eat another bowl of this! PB&J OVERNIGHT OATS - $5.50 Georgia Grinders peanut butter, GA strawberry preserves, gluten-free Bob's Red Mill oats, almond milk, chia seeds, turmeric, goji berries, cinnamon, hemp seeds, cacao nibs, honey ... and it's vegan, gluten-free and soy-free. I love that their label calls out the different local businesses - I've been a huge long-time fan of Georgia Grinders so I was delighted to see they were part of this. I took a few bites as a preview to my breakfast tomorrow - it's quite rich-tasting and I anticipate very filling which is no surprise considering all the ingredients. Overall, enjoyed my lunch so much - delicious AND healthy! Next time, I'd like to try their Smoked Salmon + Preserved Lemon Labneh and All Day Brekkie. I'll be back for sure! What a cool little spot! Met an old friend for breakfast at this great bfast/lunch cafe off Cheshire Bridge (Liddell is on the same side as Nakato). The menu is a good mix of healthy/GF/gluten free and filling delectable-ness. The scrambled eggs on sourdough was just that- fluffy eggs on toast! Perfect for a couple hours pre-yoga. The Dutch apple coffee cake was a rich, delicious treat too. My friend got one of the very generous breakfast bowls. It emanates a vibe associated with a highbrow coffee shop--with a library of books on a shelf in the back--and some chairs & even a long table to rest, drink, eat, work, and confabulate as desired. As for the food, it was both visually aesthetic and patently delectable. We tried both the All Day Brekkie Bowl and the Rotisserie Cauliflower & Fried Eggplant Bowl. Both were sumptuous. We also purchased a side of chicken, and the portion was surprisingly large given the price ($4). I'd suggest getting some of their homemade hot sauce as well, if that's of interest. The location is certainly off the beaten path - not much going on around it - but regardless, I can see why Daily Chew's quality menu is extremely appealing among locals or anyone within walking distance.
