Mushroom pita
Eryn H.

I have been living near this cafe for some time and finally decided to try it. I went on a Friday afternoon and ordered the mushroom pita to go and I am not a vegetarian. I believe they use lions mane, when I tell you it was soooo good I was shocked. It's a little on the pricey side but worth it for a good wholesome lunch. Would definitely go back to try some different menu items.

Daily Chew is a cozy cafe that offers simple food (think pastries, pita, and salad) during breakfast and lunch hours. It is located off the main road, which kind of makes it hard to spot. There is outdoor and indoor seating that slowly filled up throughout the morning. The service was friendly and quick! My friend and I decided to get their Eggy Avocado Toast for our brunch date. I think that the meal was a bit too plain for me. I got too much avocado for my liking and I wish the scrambled eggs were seasoned with salt and pepper. The saving grace of the meal was probably the caramelized onions at the bottom, as well as the harissa as both added some flavor to the toast. After we finished eating, we were given a single slice of watermelon to refresh our mouths, which was sweet! Overall, I think Daily Chew is a bit overpriced for the quality of their food ($16 for my somewhat bland toast!!!). If I came back, I would get the Ricotta Hotcakes as they looked really appetizing. I would probably rate it a 3.5/5 stars if possible. However, I do think that the vibes of this place are pretty chill and it is worth checking out if you are looking for some simple brunch foods.

Finding the Daily Chew reminded me of breakfast spots in Portland, OR. The decor is greens and white with houseplants scattered around and unique tables and seats. It's got seating inside and outside so in the short window when Atlanta weather is pleasant, outside is smart especially if you have a big party. The seating inside is designed for parties of 2 and parties of 4. Here's what I got: 1) Drip coffee - the server said it was standout and she was right. I typically take my drip black and was right away hit with earthy notes that stated quality coffee. Normally, I'd just make coffee at home and save on the cost but this cup was well worth the experience. 2) Mushroom Schnitzel Pita - wow. That's all I have to say. The flavor and mouth feel was fantastic with a very satisfying crunch and a nice meaty bite of mushroom. 3) Boerewors - I wanted a bit more protein for lunch and was glad to go with this. The spicing used was tasty and the sausage was delectable. All in all, the Daily Chew is the kind of place I'd go when the day is slow and you can stop and smell the roses (or the coffee in this case).

Excellent Meeting Spot with my #2 son! Take your pick of cozy seating inside and airy seating outside. We had a few different coffees - each were hand crafted and delivered quickly. The staff gave us enough space to chat while ensuring we always had what we needed. The food smelled wonderful; I'll have to go back for breakfast or lunch!

This review is specifically for their farmers market tent and not their brick and mortar. I ordered a shakshuka (was around $16 since I paid with a card) and there's just something warm and comforting about a hot bowl of tomato stew and eggs. I loved that it was topped with feta, red pepper flakes and parsley and served with the best buttered, crusty bread. My bowl also came with two eggs! The thing is - the eggs have been stewing in a big pan of shakshuka so they were a little too over done for my liking. Nevertheless, it was a perfect and light dish to start my morning.

This place is super cute! I had heard great things and was looking forward to brunch here. The coffee was delicious and the vibes were great. However, I do think the food left something to be desired. My shakshuka was watery and the tomatoes didn't taste fresh at all. It lacked spice as a typical shakshuka would have and honestly was a bit bland until I added some of the lovely homemade hot sauce they had. The staff was so nice and everything was very efficient, but I think I'd only come back here for coffee rather than food.

First time for me and shocked this little gem was hidden away just a few miles from my neighborhood. The Latke Stack and Eggy Avocado were fantastic. Service was great. Charming little atmosphere inside but we sat on the patio.

So delighted to have friends who recommended this spot. Cozy, great coffee and pastries, and wonderful breakfast/brunch menu. Everything that came out look stunning and was tasty. I added the sausage to the Steve platter and had no regrets. I'm delighted this place is around! We'll be back!

My 8 year old daughter requested that I provide a 5 star review for this restaurant. she got the mushroom schnitzel pita, and I admit it was delicious. I am going to order that next time. I got the salmon pita, which was also good, but not as good. The drinks were also good. I got the highland fizz, which tasted like a light old fashioned to me. She got the strawberry vanilla ollipop, which she also loved. We also shared a coconut butternut squash soup that was lighter in flavor than I expected, but pretty good.

It's clean & they have a chill atmosphere. I enjoyed banana bread & chai tea. I would definitely come back.

Smoked salmon pita content - salmon, avocado, labneh and my favorite capers.

The food is amazing! This eatery came to my attention while looking for neighborhood places to eat. Within a few days, my partner called to ask if I wanted him to bring me some food, and without hesitation, asked him to go to the Daily Chew. I ordered the smoked salmon pita, and he ordered the mushroom schnitzel pita. We were both thoroughly pleased with our meals, despite a bit pricier than would normally pay for a sandwich of sorts. I will say that I do not regret as everything was extremely fresh and well marinated. The addition of capers was truly a treat as I cook with them on seared salmon often, but rarely get in sandwiches. Love by golden latte, beverage, and the selection of other healthier coffee options that I plan to explore in the future. Not too sweet with just the right amount of spices. Planning to visit the location in the future to see decor and dine in. Without reservation I am adding to the list of neighborhood gems!

I've put Daily Chew on the to go list for too long. Had brunch with a buddy of mine one weekend and we split 3 menj items. Each of them were very unique and the ingredients definitely stood out. Pancakes were my favorite of them all. Would highly recommend.

This place is such a hidden gem! It's a super cute spot with indoor and outdoor seating. There's some parking in front and on the street by it. Service is amazing and everyone is super lovely! Food comes out quickly. The food and coffee is amazing. The Shakshouka felt like a different variation because of the cauliflower in it, but it was delectable regardless. They had a hallah bread special that was a nice sweet bite. The coffee was also fresh tasting and their syrups they have are unique. I got a Mexican chocolate syrup which had a nice spice to it.

Absolutely Incredible - Best Meal I've Had While Traveling!…read more I travel all over the country for work, and I can honestly say Delbar delivered one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment I sat down, my bartender Taz took exceptional care of me. I wasn't familiar with the menu, so I trusted her recommendations, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. Every single dish she chose was outstanding. I started with the fresh pita and hummus topped with the mushroom, shishito pepper, and egg addition. The pita was warm, fresh, and unlike anything I've had before. The hummus was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The chicken wings were phenomenal, perfectly grilled with incredible flavor and just the right amount of char. The highlight of the night was the lamb neck with the Polo Sefid. The lamb was unbelievably tender and flavorful, and paired with the saffron rice, it was one of the most memorable dishes I've ever eaten. What truly elevated the experience was Taz's service. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about the food. Her recommendations made the entire meal unforgettable. If I hadn't trusted her guidance, I would've missed out on an amazing culinary experience. Beyond the incredible food, Delbar has an atmosphere that is truly special. The entire restaurant feels warm, welcoming, and almost familial as if you're being welcomed into someone's home rather than simply dining out. The lighting is absolutely gorgeous, creating the perfect ambiance without feeling overly formal. The decor is tasteful and elegant, the bar area is stunning, and the dining room strikes a perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. Even the approach to the restaurant and the outdoor space are beautifully designed. Every detail feels intentional and contributes to an experience that is as memorable as the food itself. Delbar has officially become a must-visit anytime I'm in Atlanta. I'll absolutely be returning, and next time I'll be bringing family all the way from Reno, Nevada so they can experience it too. Thank you Taz! Thank you, Delbar, for an unforgettable evening!

There was indoor and outdoor seating and we chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful night. We had amazing service, great food, in a really cute neighborhood. We were especially impressed with the staff, and we had a member come out more than once to check with one of the people dining with us who had food allergies to ensure that how they were offering the food would be safe for her. It was also impressive that this restaurant was so busy on a Monday night. There were three of us dining, and we didn't even order any of the meats, and there was plenty of food for us. From the Mazzes, we had the Omani Shrimp, which had a great dipping sauce and the Beet Carpaccio. (they were very accommodating and put the whipped feta on the side). For the Spreads, we did the hummus with mushroom, shisito and egg, which was amazing and the labneh with pickled fennel on the top. It's served with taftoun bread which I would describe as a mix of a cracker and pita with sesame on top. We also enjoyed a raw vegetable dish with radish and the most delicious apple slices. Their heirloom tomato salad was beautifully presented and plentiful. They had a flight of condiments and we were able to sample zhoug, spicy tahina and torshi, which was a mixture of pickled vegetables. We ended with a pistachio lava cake with the most delicious cardamon gelato. Overall, we had an amazing meal in their beautiful outdoor space, and we thought the food was really reasonably priced. There's something for everyone on this menu whether you're vegetarian, vegan or a meat eater.

The service has always been really great, and the owner is genuinely nice and always ready for a pleasant conversation. But sometimes the food comes out... average at best? I really only come here when I have the taste for mediterranean fare but don't feel like cooking it since it's so nearby. There are some things they do well. I like their baba ganoush, hummus, and beet salad. But other things are a bit lackluster and the meats can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it's dry, other times it's succulent. The pita is toasted, but you can surely tell it isn't made fresh. My husband is obsessed with wings and even he said the wings served here are a BIG no. Also cannot recommend the fries, as they've been notoriously dry and cold. Perhaps we should not have expected good wings given that it's primarily mediterranean fare lol. The parking situation is also abysmal. They share a really small lot and the individual spots are poorly marked. This place is off of Briarcliff and the traffic is notorious for being bad, so that makes coming and going that much harder in a lot that's already a little treacherous. When the parking lot is full, it is like playing 2-ton Tetris. I'll also note that the hours can sometimes be a suggestion, and they unexpectedly close earlier than indicated (but will leave a handwritten note). This place seems to be a local favorite. The prices are nice. I just wish it was more reliable with taste and quality.

Once seated you're gifted a complimentary starter Sabzi Plate that includes fresh herbs, feta cheese, walnuts, Castelvetrano olives, crunchy radish, and premium walnuts. Our favorite plates were the hummus [we paired with the mushroom add on], lamb chops, and the Adas Polo rice. Trust me get the Adas Polo rice, it absolutely mouthwatering. As for beverages there is a variety of curated cocktails that we tasted but my top pick had to be the Tehran Mule! As for desserts our favorite was the Persian ice cream sandwich, it has unique flavors with rose being one of them. So good! For parking they offer a combination of valet services and validated garage parking depending on which location you go. The dress code is business casual. It's a perfect place for any accession, I definitely am planning on coming back to try more dishes. Take my word and come check it out! Your taste buds will thank you!

I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

Based on that information, she ordered the meal, but later had a reaction to the dough that was used. This was frustrating because the situation likely could have been avoided if we had been given accurate information about the ingredients from the beginning. We completely understand that not every restaurant can accommodate every dietary restriction, but being transparent about what is used in the food allows customers to make informed decisions for themselves. Salmon with Alfredo Pasta + Creamy Chicken Soup: Was impressed that the salmon was cooked to order. I did have to wait maybe 7-10 mins for it, but while I waited Mr. Kameel gave me and another customer waiting some free lentil soup which was pretty good. The salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I also liked the alfredo pasta, super creamy and went well with the salmon. The first few bites of the creamy chicken soup were good, but then I found it to be extremely salty and I couldn't finish it. Overall, definitely impressed with how well the salmon was cooked, although it was a bit pricey ($24). Rosemary Chicken with rice + lentils: Chicken seems to be the most popular protein and I can see why! The portion was huge and the chicken was very moist and flavorful. On their own, the rice and lentils were okay and not extraordinary. Both plates came with a piece of falafel, and while I'm not a huge fan of falafel it deserves a mention because it was really good! (I was too full to finish but David happily finished it for me). I did really appreciate being greeted by Mr. Kameel himself as soon as we walked in.
