I wanted a BLT, but that's something they don't offer here, so I got half chicken tortilla soup and half chicken pesto sandwich instead. My husband got a salmon ceasar salad. Our food came 10 mins after ordering. We both enjoyed our meals, but thought that my sandwich had too much pesto. My husband also thought his salad was a bit overdressed. So if you want a soup and a sandwich kind of spot then this is going to be your place. Also if you want a pizza, they have smaller size pieces for you as well. So I came here randomly cuz I was across the street about to go shopping. That's usually how it goes because it's right in a shopping area. The shopping area has free apartment but it's not a living parking so you have to be careful because you may not get a parking spot if it's too busy. Everybody is really friendly there, and they'll help explain them in you if you need it. The last time I went I got a pizza and I got a wrap. The pizza was a sausage and pepperoni, it's about six slices or so and it comes fresh out the oven. I got a Caesar wrap last time, I added bacon to it, it was good and actually comes with a side as well. Typically I'll get potatoes salad. The load of potato soup is actually good as well. This is a place that's fairly cheap and pretty good. So if you want something that's quicker than dining in and still decent good too, I would suggest it. read more

So when I walked in, I didn't really have any expectations - I just ordered a sandwich and side pairing and awaited for what I was expecting to be a very mid meal. All the times that I've driven by and didn't even realize there was a Newk's here! R and I were in the area 10 weeks ago and decided to come here for dinner at around 7:30 pm. Parking was easy to find. There's lots of free parking all around Town Brookhaven, where this Newk's is located, both on the street, in parking lots and even a parking garage, if necessary. We walked in through the front door, and the order counter was on the left. We had already decided to get salads, so we didn't have to look through the entire menu. I ordered a Greek salad, and R ordered an Ultimate salad. We were given a number on laminated cardstock so that we could put it on a stand so that the server would know where to bring the order. We went outside to the covered and fenced patio and plopped ourselves down, clipping the numbered placard on top of the stand. We didn't have to wait very long, because our food was brought out soon after, and the salads looked fresh. My Greek salad had crisp lettuce, sharp tasting olives, slightly firm artichoke hearts and lightly toasted croutons. The salad was perfect, and big - a lot to eat. R said that his Ultimate salad was delicious. The employees were nice, quick and efficient. The restaurant was spacious and clean. The beverage bar was self serve, and it was well stocked, except for lemons, which had to be requested. At about 7:30 pm, the restaurant was almost empty of all customers and had 5 customers sitting out in the patio. read more

The location was spacious with plenty of dining and A/C for this summer but I sat comfy outside in the shade. The service was not only great but fast as I only waited for 10 minutes or so. I decided to order Newk's Half Cheesesteak and the Six Cheese Pimento with Bacon as a side because it sounded like a great place to start and I was right. Stuffed in between toasted Parisian bread with mayo not only was the tenderloin steak juicy but the flavor of the caramelizar onions and peppers was the chef's kiss!
