    Lunch menu May 2026

Casual cafe on one side, more upscale restaurant on the other. My friend and I came for lunch on a Friday. We had a 11:30am reservation but probably would have been fine without it. We sat outside which was nice but we did notice once it filled up more bugs came out. To note, they make EVERYTHING in house, even the ketchup and hot sauce, that's pretty cool. To start we ordered 2 pastries- a cinnamon bun and peach croissant. The croissant was delicious, almost got another to go. The cinnamon bun was subpar and we both wished it was warm. For entrees we split the lamb bolognese and the halibut. The lamb was soooooo good! They gave a generous portion of lamb and the pasta was perfect. The halibut was good, but needed a little more seasoning. We both thought both dishes could have been hotter. My friend also got an iced matcha and said it was good. Parking: valet only or a few street spots across the street. Valet is free with tips.

You may think the cheeseburger costs too much, and if this wasn't the best cheeseburger you've ever had, I'd tell you you're right. However, this is the best cheeseburger you'll ever have and it is absolutely worth the price. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service is always i credible. The French onion soup and Mac n cheese are also incredible, but make sure you try the cheeseburger.

This place is incredible! What a gastronomic journey. The ambience felt like fine dining met neighborhood restaurant. I love the farm to table concept and also loved seeing the garden in the back. The waiter was very friendly, taking his time to explain everything. The miso caramel coffee drizzle is so tasty and pairs perfectly with the coffee. Starting with the tallow tater tots, wow so creative and pairing them with caviar made the perfect bite. The peaches from the salad were soooo juicy and melted in your mouth, and the shrimp were plump and fresh. The chicken schnitzel was so unique. It was very lightly breaded, laid on a bed of a spinach pasta. I've never seen this before and it wa such a nice surprise. Not crunchy, soft just like pasta. The sauce and capers mixed to create a perfect bite. All of the other food was cooked to perfection.

Enjoyed a Saturday morning brunch with friends. We had a reservation which is highly recommended as the restaurant and bakery are very busy. The building itself is very quaint and looks out to greenery and gardens. Our table ordered the cinnamon roll to start which was super fresh and delicious. For entrees we had the pimento grits, biscuit breakfast sandwich and eggs Benedict. All were very good. For dessert we enjoyed a berry cake. Service was fantastic...allowed us to relax and take our time while also being attentive.

We had dinner at The Chastain and it was excellent. The food, drinks, service, and ambiance were all great. Simply put, if you're looking for a nice night out in Atlanta, this place won't disappoint. The Chastain has been listed in the Michelin Guide since its inaugural edition in Atlanta in 2023. It also received Michelin Green Stars in 2023, 2024, and 2025. After dining here, I do think the recognition is well-deserved. The cuisine is New American, farm-to-table. Several of the ingredients come from their garden on site. The Chastain is located next to the Chastain Park Golf Course and Tennis Center, in the old Horseradish Grill space, in Buckhead. They have complimentary valet parking on site (gravel lot). I tipped using Venmo. Book reservations using OpenTable and get points. We had a 6:30 PM Friday reservation for four. By the time we arrived, the restaurant was pretty packed. In addition to the dining room and bar, they have an enclosed patio and an outdoor firepit area. The atmosphere is elevated. We ordered a bunch of dishes and shared. Here's what we had: Cocktails: * Local, Honey ($18 each) x2 - Murrell's Row Tulsi Gin, lemon, salted local honey next door * The Teach ($20) - Overproof rum, Campari, pear juice, lime, orgeat, cinnamon * 5 Spice Whiskey Sour ($20) - rye whiskey, five-spice demerara, grapefruit, lemon, angostura * Hermes Cornaline cocktail ($18) - Castle & Key gin, carrot, ginger, turmeric honey syrup, lemon Zero Proof: * N/Agroni ($15) - Ghia Non-Alcoholic Aperitif, Martini & Rossi, Oddbird Rose * Oddbird (glass, $14) - sparkling rose, Syrah, Languedoc, France MV First: * Double Fermented House Sourdough (small, $7) - salted cultured butter * Beef Tallow Tater Tots ($30) - creme fraiche, chives, Ossetra caviar * Tuna Tartare ($20) - black garlic, scallion sesame salad, yuzu kosho, sesame puffed rice * Vidalia Spring Onion Tempura ($15) - miso aioli, tajin * Black Truffle Risotto ($32) - red wine and black truffle jus, Green Hill mousse, smoked potato skin Main: * Prime Spinalis ($65) - olive oil fried brassicas, chevre croquettes, black garlic romesco, grilled sweet peppers Green: * Vonnie's Sprouts ($18) - pea and sunflower sprouts, sunflower seeds, buttermilk ricotta, dill aioli, Parmigiano Reggiano * Endive & Roasted Beet Salad ($18) - beet tartare, candied walnuts, orange verjus vinaigrette, satsuma Side: * Pecan Grilled Maitake Mushrooms ($16) - chimichurri * Rabbit & Italian Sausage Roulade (entree, $50) - paccheri, sage brown butter, butternut squash, pumpkin seed, braised mustard greens Dessert: * Goat Cheesecake ($16) - dulce de leche mousse, goat cheese sorbet, Comte crumble * Chocolate & Coffee ($16) - chocolate cremeux, coffee sable, chocolate coffee whipped ganache * Calamansi Coconut Cake ($15) - coconut dacquoise, calamansi curd, coconut mousse, calamansi jelly and sorbet * TC Chocolate Chip Cookie ($15) - black lava sea salt, vanilla bean ice cream I can't say there was a single bad dish or drink, which is the main reason why I'm giving this place five stars. Everything was delicious, executed pretty much perfectly, and presented beautifully. There is an extra level of care and attention to detail here; really impressive. It's hard for me to make any dish or drink recommendations because everything was equally superb, so really, you can't go wrong. Service was fantastic. Matt was our server. He was knowledgeable and attentive. All of the staff was nice and they really anticipated our needs, which is a sign of good training and it certainly helps to set this restaurant apart. In addition to dinner, The Chastain serves weekday lunch and weekend brunch, and has a morning/early afternoon cafe. The business opened on November 9, 2020.

I can't believe it took me this long to finally try The Chastain. They offer free valet, you just tip, and they take Venmo which is a huge plus. I especially loved the patio setup. There are regular tables and chairs plus a firepit area with seating around it, which makes it feel really cozy. We went on a Thursday morning just for coffee and it was so crowded. Like shockingly busy for a weekday. I genuinely can't imagine what it's like on a weekend. I grabbed a table while my sister waited in line and it took her about 20 minutes to order. Once she did, we got a number and they brought everything out to us, which was nice. Overall it was a really great experience. The coffee was good and my sister said her croissant was the best she's ever had. I would definitely come back again, just maybe not on a weekend haha

This place was DIVINE! Best outdoor patio area for especially on a nice breezy day. Their chicken schnitzel was one of the best I've ever had and the mushroom appetizer I'm still dreaming of! Their gnocchi complimented everything great too! Our waitress gave us the best recommendations and provided us excellent vibes. I would go back!

Overall really enjoyed my time at the Chastain. Service was thoughtful and attentive and the food was really tasty. Their burger is delicious, well seasoned and something I'd go back for Over and over. Very popular and noisy during the day so not sure it would be a staple for me as I like more quiet spaces but it makes perfect sense that they are busy! It's good! Will be back at dinner to how it differs.

Pork chops, caviar tater tots, TC Burger

The Chastain has officially become one of my favorite dining experiences in Atlanta. Everything I tried was memorable, but a few dishes truly stole the show. The burger is unreal -- rich, perfectly seasoned, and layered with so much flavor that you understand immediately why everyone talks about it. The pork chops were just as impressive: tender, beautifully cooked, and full of depth. And the caviar tater tots? A whole moment. Crispy, indulgent, and the perfect balance of playful and luxurious. I also have to highlight the French onion soup. It was deep, comforting, and beautifully made -- and pairing it with their warm, perfectly crusty sourdough bread was the chef's kiss combination I didn't know I needed. Between the food, the ambiance, and the quality of service, The Chastain delivers a dining experience that feels elevated yet inviting. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu.

The Chastain is now one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta! I went for brunch and am so excited to go back for dinner sometime soon. All of the food was fabulous, the staff were engaging and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is so lively, especially in the outdoor tent area even in the winter! It would be an amazing place to go on a day with beautiful weather. We split a ton of things, but the burger definitly stood out as well as the miso aioli that came with the fries. The pastries (cinnamon roll and Simon's croissant) were all delicious as well. Highly recommend!!

We had a lovely dinner at the Chastain! Our server was wonderful, welcoming, and had the best recommendations. The outdoor space was beautiful, and it was perfect for a summer dinner. The standouts on the menu were the sourdough (baked in house) and the lamb (so juicy, so tender, so fresh! None of that usual gamey flavor. Our server told us it's grown domestically too). We were celebrating a birthday, and the complementary cookie was so appreciated! Will definitely be coming back for brunch sometime soon.

This may be my new favorite local restaurant! The service and ambiance were top tier. The location is tucked away in a little community across from Chastain Park, and I felt welcome throughout my dinner. We opted to eat inside, but will definitely select the garden for the next time we dine there. We chose several dishes to share and as an indulgent carb loving gal, I gotta say that the sprout salad (Vonnie's) was the standout. I wasn't expecting it to be as delicious as it was, and now it's living rent free in my head and heart. The next highly rated dish would have to be the scallop & crab stuffed squash blossoms - phe. nom. enal. I could eat these 2 dishes all day. The roasted mushroom campanelle and the risotto were good, but I expected that to be the case. we also shared the halibut, and if you've had one halibut, you've had them all - but this was paired well and was so flaky. And finally, don't skip the chocolate chip cookie which is hella hot and burnt the roof of my mouth (which I felt for 2 days after), just wait a few minutes instead of dogging it like we did - although, I'd probably do it again it was THAT good.

I normally go here for a pastry and a coffee, but decided to try the dining service. I was impressed. I wasn't expecting this level of service and quality of food from this place because I just didn't know about it. I spent over two hours eating and it felt like 30 minutes because it was such a great environment. The sourdough bread as a starter was okay, not sure it'll I would get it again. The Vonnie sprouts salad were amazing. The sprouts are sourced from a locally grown farmer that exclusively. The roasted mushroom Campanella and squash, blossom and tomato risotto were great items to share. The olive oil poach Haliburton was cooked perfectly. To finish the night the TC the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream with sinfully delicious. Even when you leave the staff goes out of their way to open the door for you.

    salmon dinner, incredible!

We got seated and got some classic diner coffee to start. For the meal, I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and shared the skillet french toast with the table. This is truly no frills which is why I love it. Great breakfast and 4 us of ate for $60 which felt like a great deal. I really am glad I came back and will be coming more often because I forgot how much I enjoyed it!

Some restaurants are trendy…read more Some restaurants are modern. And some restaurants take one look at changing food trends and say, "Nah, we're good." The Silver Skillet in Atlanta falls firmly into that last category. This place is an old-school Southern diner in all the best ways possible. The kind of place where the coffee keeps flowing, the biscuits arrive without apology, and calories are treated more like suggestions than rules. In fact, we took an early morning flight to Atlanta specifically to make sure we'd get there before they close at 2:00 PM. That's either a testament to how much we enjoy The Silver Skillet or evidence that we need a support group for Southern breakfast food. I'm leaning toward both. It's also been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, which usually gets my attention. But unlike some places that become famous and start coasting on reputation, The Silver Skillet still earns its following the old-fashioned way: by serving really good food. And judging by the walls and the stories, I'm not the only one who thinks so. Over the years, celebrities ranging from Samuel L. Jackson to Charles Barkley and Travis Tritt have eaten here. After this visit, I completely understand why. Whenever I'm in Atlanta, this place has become one of my regular stops. On this visit, my wife ordered the country fried steak smothered in white gravy with eggs and a biscuit. It was exactly what you want Southern comfort food to be: hearty, flavorful, satisfying, and unapologetically indulgent. Nobody orders country fried steak looking for a wellness retreat. I went with their signature country ham served with red gravy, scrambled eggs, and biscuits. Now, if you've never had country ham, understand that this isn't your average breakfast ham. Country ham shows up with attitude. Salty, rich, packed with flavor, and perfectly balanced by the red gravy. Combined with the eggs and biscuits, it was the kind of breakfast that makes you seriously consider canceling the rest of your plans and taking a nap. The atmosphere is part of the charm. It feels authentic because it is authentic. No manufactured nostalgia. No corporate designer trying to recreate a 1950s diner from a Pinterest board. This is the real thing. The Silver Skillet has survived because it knows exactly what it is and executes it well. Solid food. Friendly service. A classic Atlanta institution. And a place that's earned every bit of its reputation. Four stars. When you're willing to schedule a flight around a restaurant's closing time, that's about as strong an endorsement as a breakfast spot can get.

It was never bad just meh. I had no other option and the porterhouse steak I had from earlier didnt satisfy me for the whole day like I hoped and it was a big one too. I was quite surprised when I walked in to find it was busy for Christmas day (or evening to be precise). I sat down at the bar and placed a to-go order for a cheeseburger. Ive had them before, nothing to write home about but whatever I thought, just keep it simple. I got home and open the box I noticed they kept the lettuce and tomato separate. When I attempted to open up the burger, it was glued shut with cheese on both sides of the patty, a plus given your normal lone slice of cheese that gets lost in the beef, sauce and fixings. I then saw grill marks on the bottom bun and realized they used an actual grill, not the typical skillet you would see in your ordinary diner which is another plus. My first few bites surprised me, its not just some run-of-the-mill burger, there was char flavor and far from bland. The burger was cooked just right, medium to medium rare which is my prefer temperature. The crinkle fries were crispy, fresh and not pan-fried like I had the last couple of times elsewhere. Overall, I was surprised, i dont recall their burgers being this good.
