I always enjoy the seasonal menu at First Watch. The steak and egg hash was delicious. You can have your eggs any way you want them on the hash - i chose scrambled. The peppers had a little kick, tasted slightly pickled and I loved that! Blueberry lemon cornbread is more of a blueberry cake with lemon buttercream icing. Very good, but didn't have the crumb or texture of a cornbread like we expected. Our server was lovely and because we were there the last 90 minutes before closing, it was not too loud. It took a while to get this bad boy out of my review drafts, mainly because I spent a little too much time reveling in this breakfast experience rather than just writing it out. We've finally arrived to the proper review. First Watch is really yummy and arguably one of the more well done whole food breakfast chains around. They serve an elevated brunch experience; not because of some pretentious, arbitrary price hike or crazy cocktails that infer said elevation, but simply because the things they put on your plate are generally happily processed by your human body. And the prices are generally fair (ignoring the upcharge for organic maple syrup). So your wallet is generally happy, too. Off rip, I judge breakfast places by the quality of their grits. I'm a real southern shawty and my standards for grits are very high. I grew up cooking and eating real deal grits, with a heavy preference for the stone-ground, minimally processed white corn variation. Extra points for real butter, extra extra points for aged cheese. First Watch nailed it. I don't even feel the need to mention the rest of the meal, but I will for the sake of whoever wants the Morning Meditation juice (10/10 magnificent), The Works Omelet (20/10 because sour cream, bacon and eggs just go together), *Seasonal* Chimichurri Steak and Eggs Hash (10/10), and a side of biscuits and gravy (8/10). They almost had to roll us out of there because we ATE. I accidentally pulled an OMAD y'all... I truly was not hungry for the rest of the day after this meal -- even more proof that you're eating WHOLE food (which the body holds onto a lot better for energy than heavily processed bullsh*t). YES, they have gluten free options for the celiacs. YES, they have calorie counts for the calorie-cautious. YES, they have an exhaustive list of ingredients printed for the picky eaters. The icing on top was the great service, which wasn't crazy attentive but far from neglectful even during their peak hours. It's a clean and casual environment, as is the case with most of their locations. I can't speak to the bathroom unfortunately because I can't recall the last time I used this location's accommodations, but usually when the bathroom is horrid I can't un-experience that and will avoid a place at all costs. I got the Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich with chicken apple sausage. The croissant was buttery and flaky, and the apricot jam with pickled jalapeños gave it the perfect sweet and spicy combo. Definitely a standout! The Honey Chipotle Chicken Hash was another win. Tender chicken, crispy potatoes, and that honey chipotle glaze brought the perfect balance of sweet and smoky. If I ever want some very healthy food, this is the place I like to go. I usually go to the First Watch in Dunwoody but today I was closer to the Chamblee First Watch. This place has lots of great food and drinks. If you want to have something sweet they have a lot of great waffles and pancakes. I usually have the Power Quinoa Breakfast Bowl with the basted eggs. My only complaint and this is usually my complaint at any breakfast place, is that they can't get my egg yolk preference correct. I want the white cooked and I want the yellow part completely runny. Most places always leave the egg on the skillet a bit too long and the yellow part hardens. I never send them back because it isn't as big a deal as the rest of the meal. The only thing is that I love to cover my quinoa grains in yolk. The service at this restaurant is ok, not the best but good enough. For the most part the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing in the morning, however some days, especially weekend, can be very busy. So bring your patience. They do have an app where you can save your place in line before you get there. Use it if you are in any haste. read more

My second time ordering here from Ubereats. 1st time was successful so decided to order again. I got the Traditional: 2 Eggs, Crispy Bacon, Cheesy Grits and Toast with and Orange Juice. I knew it was going to be a disaster when my courier waited over 20mins for my food that I had ordered 15mins beforehand. This place is literally 8mins away from my home and when I finally received my food my Eggs were cold with no seasoning, Grits were also cold, bland and runny and the multigrain toast sucked! The vibe is nice.... It took a while for us to get our food. Upon arrival of my "Traditional" eggs Benedict...one egg was broke, and spilled over onto my potatoes. That's when I realized the eggs were still undercooked with egg white runny. I tried to push through and notice there added sliced tomatoes to the Benedict.... That not traditional. First Watch was a miss today from the presentation of the food on the plate to the warmth of the meal on the plate to the nuke they had to do to the meal in the microwave. I wish I wouldn't have come today. When they delivered the traditional breakfast to the table, it looks messy and thrown together. Then I tasted a potato and it was cold. I asked if the server could bring back a warm plate because the food was cold and she brought it back 10 minutes later. I'm pretty sure she put it in the microwave and nuked it because the butter that was on the toast was extremely melted when she brought it back to the table. The bacon was really soft too and not crunchy which was a turnoff. Overall the meal wasn't good and I won't be back. My partner convinced me to go to first watch because he was craving it, our usual breakfast place is flying biscuit, but he wanted to be bougie today I guess. We walked in, the atmosphere was the typical corporate first watch. We were seated immediately which was the smoothest part of the meal. The place was bustling but not packed, about half the tables were full. We weren't impressed with the service. Had to ask for silverware, maple syrup, his oatmilk for coffee twice. She asked if I wanted salad or potatoes, I said salad and she still came out with the most undercooked potatoes I've ever had in my life. it reminded me of the time someone served me potato pretending it was apple, except they didn't make it extremely salty. She brought out the mediocre salad after. My omelette had all the filling on one side, so half was unseasoned egg and the other half was over salted chorizo, over salted because there was so little of it but they still wanted the chorizo flavor i guess. I also asked for less cheese and onion which she didn't even put in the system. I know I sound picky but I don't think a minor modification is hard. Highlights were the blueberry whatever juice that was so sweet I could keep adding water so it never ended, and the sweet cashier who checked us out with a smile. The Bloody Marys we started with were really good. The millionaire bacon on top was spectacular. I got the Barbacoa Quesadilla that is on the Fall special menu. It was very tasty! We did the advanced seating on the app. We wanted a booth so that was a problem here. It also would have helped if the staff were bussing the tables... The booth we requested sat untouched until we gave up and left. We were visiting from out of town and took a chance on Egg Harbor not far away... It saved our day... Service upon seating was horrible and I will add, felt a bit discriminated. The server in the front seated us after 7 families and we were third on the list. When we finally got seated they gave us the smallest table and had to wait 20 minutes before being acknowledged when the business was not busy. As soon as we sat, a family was seated at a large table without the need. We have been here several times but have seen the decline in customer service and food quality. I can't believe that I hadn't written a review for this First Watch location, because I've been here many times for breakfast. I myself have never had a parking issue, since I've always come here on Sunday mornings no later than 9 am. However, parking can be challenging if you come here much later on Sundays, or at any times that most of the nearby businesses are open. The large and free parking lot has different sections, though, so you'll be ok in finding an open parking space if you don't mind walking across a big parking lot in order to get to First Watch. Today, we were immediately met by the hostess at the host stand near the entrance, and led to a booth. At the time we arrived, there were probably about 5 tables occupied by customers, so there were a whole lot more tables available, including the tables in the outside patio in the back (although I don't know if they were seating customers outside). Our server came to the table within a minute of us sitting down and took our drink orders (water for me and coffee for R). The server came back within a couple of minutes with a glass of water for me and a carafe of coffee for R. As far as food went, R looked at his First Watch mobile app right as we were seated, and found out there was a breakfast for two that wasn't on their regular menu. He asked our server about that offer. She wasn't familiar with it, but left to talk to the manager about the offer. She came back quickly and said that we could order it. We got a great deal (at a great price) for a breakfast for two: Six scrambled eggs, six strips of bacon, a big order of seasoned potatoes and a cup of fresh cut fruit. It didn't take that long before our server arrived with our food. Everything was so tasty. The breakfast was so filling that we didn't even touch the fruit, so that became a to-go item. The only glitch was at the very end. First Watch doesn't allow payment via its mobile app, nor do servers handle any payments. Customers must go to the register near the front to pay. However, their payment system was down for at least 20 minutes, and we had to wait until it came back up. Overall, dining here was a good experience. read more

Went there for breakfast with friends. Nice decor, clean and not too noisy. The waitress greeted us right away, brought us waters and coffee. Wife and I ordered French toast w/side of bacon. It two large slices of brioche toast with berry compote. Very yummy, although I would have like 3 slices vs two. The bacon was perfectly crisped and cooked. Came here Thursday (5/19) around 10:30a. Before I even review the food let me say Tiffany did a great job despite being new and the way her team left her out to dry. From the second we were sat we noticed they TRIPLE SAT her (even though all the other sections were damn near empty AND other servers were on the floor), the team didn't help her buss any of her tables and only helped run her food ONCE. It's SAD this is what management believes the definition of teamwork is. I witness them push their earbud MULTIPLE times back in their ears and CONTINUE to cook. GROSS. I asked for their gloves to be changed, but in an open kitchen really? If they're bold enough to do that while people can see, what are they doing behind the scenes? Now the food... Biscuits & Gravy - Gravy was lukewarm and biscuits were ehh...The potatoes weren't cooked thoroughly and hard to get through after the second bite. Shrimp & Grits - Were amazing! Full of flavor, shrimp was cooked PERFECTLY and the sausage was delicious. Grits were super creamy and the sourdough toast was hands down the best I've ever had. I was in the area finishing with an event and was hungry for breakfast. Its was Saturday brunch time so the shopping center's parking lot was crowded I had to wait until some one was coming out of a spot. The restaurant had a 30min wait but they have "community tables" so we sat with a few other patrons immediately. The menu is extensive, I had a hard time trying to decide what to order, which is a good problem to have! My beverage and food was delicious. I love that they have a twist and/or elevation on basic breakfast/brunch dishes. Service was great. This was my first time here. For no-fuss brunch, First Watch would be my choice. I have since returned to this location by myself and am ecstatic to report I had completely different experiences from my original review. The first return trip was on a Tuesday after 1pm. It wasn't busy but the manager jumped up from the communal table meeting and sat me. Points of service were on point for being after lunch. The second visit was on a Sunday morning. Maybe 11:30. Wasn't full capacity but close to it. I was promptly greeted by staff and sat. Server was very friendly and efficient. Again everything was as it should be. Unfortunately I can't report about the bathrooms as both return trips there was a line. I'm looking forward to the next visit and I'll bring the rest of the family too. read more

Initial thoughts: their waitlist system sucks. Unless you know that you can add yourself to the waitlist from home, you arrive, put yourself on the list, get told it will be 20 to 30 minutes... then sit and watch people walk in the door and get seated. But when you do put yourself on the list when you arrive, you receive a text. The text does not say "Your table is ready," it says "You're the next to be seated," which still makes it look like people are getting seated ahead of you. It's ridiculous. Now we have been seated and no one has greeted us. Okay, she got here and we ordered. Okay, the manager came and talked to us and I got to kvetch, so we're good. And seriously, the food here is good. I had biscuits with turkey sausage gravy and my husband had one of their skillets. He also said his drink was good--some none-alcoholic blend that had beet juice in it. (I had a Coke.
