There are signs as of 4/8 that there is limited seating due to staff shortages. Now if you get past that, the food is surprisingly good. The Chickichanga is my favorite nice Mexican flavor but not overly heavy. We usually pair this with a double stack of pano cakes (the different flavors are good - we liked the banana granola almond crunch). That covers 2 of us and a toddler. I've been to the First Watch location in Smyrna several times and wanted to try one closer to me! I highly highly recommend going to their website and checking in online, so the wait can be hefty. We checked in online and said the wait was 45 mins-1 hour, we got there at around 40 mins and waited less than 10 minutes to be seated. There were a ton of people coming in asking to be seated and leaving after being told the wait time. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict and my partner ordered the trifecta with a carrot cake pancake, bacon, and eggs. My food that was delivered to the table was the wrong order and he finished his entire meal before mine even arrived (~20 minutes). The server didn't even acknowledge it or apologize, but rather took it away without a word. I do understand things happen, but it was the first time just nothing was said. The carrot cake pancake was quite large and filling, but he did wish the pancake was a bit sweeter as he had to almost drench the pancake to get it to his liking. The eggs and bacon were standard. I enjoyed my smoked salmon eggs benedict. The potatoes are always one of my most favorite items at First Watch. I had a gift card to redeem so decided to come on a Thursday afternoon. I thought it wouldn't been busy but boy was I wrong! The folks were out! My thoughts were because of the weather since Atlanta had been dealing with bouts of rain. I decided to take full advantage of the sun so sat outside on the patio. Thankfully the staff didn't forget about me because I was thee only one out there. I decided to give the avocado toast a rest and ordered something so chose the supergrains bowl and chickachanga. Both were great. Although my chorizo was nonexistent. The supergrains bowl was by far my favorite of the two. The only issue is parking. Went there for breakfast with friends. Nice decor, clean and not too noisy. The waitress greeted us right away, brought us waters and coffee. Wife and I ordered French toast w/side of bacon. It two large slices of brioche toast with berry compote. Very yummy, although I would have like 3 slices vs two. The bacon was perfectly crisped and cooked. The service was good, food was horrible! We seen a few red flags before we even received our food. First , the guy who was receiving the meals from the cook never changed his gloves. I literally seen him scratch his head with his left hand., he was on the computer with his right hand, I seen him get some trash off the countertop , still with the same gloves on. We really enjoyed this spot! We went on a weekday morning, and it was pretty crowded. There was no wait on the morning of our visit, but I would bet that there are definitely times that there would be. The menu was outstanding. I had a great deal of trouble deciding what to order because so many options looked great. Service was friendly and attentive. After consulting the app for nutritional information (a tip from our lovely server), I decided on the elevated egg sandwich. And elevated it was! Wow. The egg in the middle was perfect, and the sandwich itself was balanced so nicely. All the flavors came together in each wonderfully scrumptious bite. My hubs opted for the steel cut oatmeal. I didn't try it, but the presentation was beautiful. There are a wide variety of options, whether you are looking for something healthy or a splurge item. I am sure we will return to try more of the interesting menu items. I am thrilled to hear that there will be one in my own neighborhood soon! read more

We went to first watch today for lunch the one that's located on Peachtree Boulevard and we were very disappointed for the fact that when we got our food we ordered I ordered the BLT and the sandwich just tasted bland had no flavor at all. The waste app is not friendly. They don't speak. There are a few brunch restaurants in the Chamblee area but none compare to First Watch. My boyfriend and I decided to dine here on a Saturday at 12noon. I was able to get on the waitlist by way of Yelp before we arrived so our wait was shortened. The restaurant is located in a busy congested shopping center so we circled the parking lot at least 5 times before we were able to catch someone coming out so that we could park. There were several others waiting to be seated when we arrived at the restaurant, We checked in and had the option of sitting inside or outside, since it was chilly that day we chose to dine inside. They have a small waiting area so it fills up fast. Once we were seated our amicable waiter gave a few suggestions. I ordered the Smoked Salmon & Roasted Vegetable Frittata served with seasoned potatoes. My meal was delicious, the frittata was flavorful and the potatoes were good too. The portions are decent. My BF had The Traditional and added a pancake and he loved it all. I love that there are so many healthy items on the menu and you can have a good breakfast or brunch without feeling guilty afterwards. Came back to First Watch to redeem our Breakfast for 2 vouchers from a previous Yelp event. Came by on Sunday around 1:30 pm​ and boy was it packed!! Definitely try to utilize the "Get on Waitlist" option via Yelp or call in ahead to save your spot. You can do this before you even arrive to avoid waiting for 30-45+ mins. Parking can be tricky during peak hours. The lot is shared amongst stores like Starbucks, Zoes Kitchen, Taqueria del Sol, etc --so it gets packed! Service is great here! Even when swamped, the staff was attentive and made sure our water glasses were full and that we had everything we needed. Food is delicious! Everything is made fresh so naturally, the wait gets kind of long, but it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend the Acai Squeeze ($3.99) drink, it's very refreshing. If you have trouble deciding between their three drinks, you can ask for a sampler. That's what we did! And our server graciously brought out three sample cups. Entrees that were ordered: #Ham and Gruyere​ Sandwich ($9.49): This order comes with either a salad or hot bowl of soup. However, they were nice enough to substitute a side of fresh seasoned potatoes ($2.99 if a la carte). Both were very good. The sandwich​ has smoked ham, tomato, and melty Gruyere cheese with Dijonnaise on grilled artisan brioche. The sandwich came out hot and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly. I wasn't a fan of the Dijonnaise sauce so if you're not sure about it, I recommend asking for the sauce on the side. #Roast Beef and Havarti ($9.89): This sandwich has roast beef, Horseradish Havarti, house-roasted onions and tomato with lemon dressed arugula on grilled parmesan-crusted sourdough. #Million Dollar Bacon: Maple syrup drizzled on top of smoke bacon was very good. #Kale Tonic: Super refreshing drink with kale, cucumber, fuji apple, ​and lemon. I'm not a huge fan of kale, but could barely taste it in this drink. Don't let the green deter you from trying it. Something to keep in mind: Although First Watch offers complimentary coffee while you wait, keep in mind that the coffee served at the table is not free. LOVE the food at First Watch. I eat at them regularly. However, the service at this location is horrible. I arrived at 10:30 am on Sunday and was told there was a 20 min wait, No problem, at 12:30pm we had still not been seated. We asked if there was some issue and was told the kitchen was backed up. After waiting for 2 hours (party of 2) we asked if we could sit at one of the numerous empty tables and maybe have a coffee while we waited and was told NO. 1. if you are having kitchen issues please let your customers know up front so that that can decide if they want to wait. 2. Don't be rude to a customer that has been patiently waiting for 2 hours to eat in your establishment not knowing any of the issues you were having. There are too many excellent restaurants in Brookhaven to put yourself through this drama. Very disappointed :( read more

The even bigger problem was that the noise in the Chamblee location is so loud that we could not speak to others at our table. I chose the elevated egg sandwich, boyfriend went with the eggs Benedict and his mom did the farmhouse hash. Wait for the food was not long at all and our server was attentive enough for us to not feel bothered or ignored. My meal tho was not bad, but it wasn't great. I think If the sandwich came on sliced bread/toast, instead of a brioche bun it would have made a world of difference. Benedict was okay as well; the poached eggs were so small tho and there weren't much on the plate to show, but the hash was on great. I have been to several First Watch locations in Florida and Georgia, but this was my first time at this particular location. I was in the area with friends and we decided to add our name to their Yelp wait-list. If you don't know about the wait-list, it's amazing because it lets you get in line before you get to the restaurant. I often use it as soon as I leave my house, and then by the time I get to the restaurant I am usually seated very quickly! During my visit this time around, I had the salmon frittata with greens and ciabatta. The frittata had good flavor, but it was a little on the dry/overcooked side. The sauce on top of it was very vibrant and flavorful and kind of helped with the dryness. The greens were supposed to a lemon dressing on top, but I really didn't taste much. All in all, this place is good in a pinch and is convenient because of the yelp wait-list, but there are several other places in the area that are worth visiting instead. read more

I thought I would give another location a try. Parking was very scarce and I heard that from other customers as they came in. The food turned out somewhat better but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement. I was seated very timely but the server was less than the enthusiastic. The Bfast was just OK as I ordered eggs over medium and one was so hard I didn't need toast, but the other one was cooked right. The waffle and the fruit were very good, so overall it was much better than I experienced at the PTTC location.. There was only one restroom each for the men and for the women, but I guess this location was smaller than I'm used to. I may come back and give them another try. Forgot to add - the floors were very slippery for me and my guests so be very careful. That was both around my table and in the washroom. read more

Our food took over 25 minutes and when it arrived my food was cold and my girlfriends food was sitting in the window for five minutes while our server was on her phone. Very fresh, not over powering, sauces were amazing, texture was perfect. Hands down the best donut holes ever especially pumpkin! We ordered the million dollar bacon and got regular the only reason for not 5 stars is both of the sauces for the donuts were barely half way filled up and we ran out after less than half the donuts, and they're a little dry without sauce and because the mix up with the bacon. Today was my first time eating at First Watch and it will not be my last. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine and the millionaire dollar bacon. Both were insanely tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Next is the service I received during my meal. I used the website to add my name to the wait list, which stated 10-15 minutes. That was the entire time from my home to the restaurant. Once I walked through the entrance, I was immediately greeted with a smile from Kristine and was seated. Kristine was my server and she was attentive, patient (It took me a while to figure out what to order because all of the items sounded amazing), and very friendly. My meal was prepared correctly (I substituted the ciabatta to an English muffin) and served hot within 15 minutes from placing my order. I was facing the kitchen and watched the kitchen staff working together as a team. The tables, floors, and restaurant environment was clean and I like the relaxed atmosphere. I am hopeful that when I return to First Watch, that the food, clean environment, and friendly atmosphere stays consistent to this visit. read more

I have decided to see if this First Watch is any better than the one in Decatur. I have had my moments with that location (documented here on Yelp, and Travel Advisor). I have tried numerous times to get a hot, satisfying meal from the First Watch in Decatur, and decided that it just wasn't meant to be. We tried the 5001 Peachtree Blvd (across from Lowes) today with the hope that we could find a location that would give us the service and food quality that I know First Watch to be capable of delivering. We were seated quickly, drink order taken promptly, and entrees ordered and repeated back. I witnessed the manager expediting behind the line, walking the restaurant between orders. The food was great, the quality, temperature, and speed of delivery was spot on! My faith in First Watch has been restored, and it is further away from my home in Decatur, but I will be back. I spoke to the manager, (Kevin) and told him about the comparison, and thanked him for keeping the customer experience at such a high level. I've said it before. Everything combined for a great sweet and savory flavor. The waiting area is crowded but there is cucumber lemon water and coffee available for those who haven't been seated. When we were seated we were quick to order our food.
