We walked in the door at 6:20 and had coffee in front of us before 6:25 with breakfast set down on the table by 6:35. Super quick service though it wasn't terribly busy this morning. Friendly service and the restaurant was about as clean or quiet as you can expect. But the portions were large and the food was cooked fresh. I still miss the Waffle House salsa so I plan ahead and bring my own hot sauce. Otherwise, it was as great a meal as you can have here. I am never disappointed with my experience here at waffle house. All the waitresses are so kind and always have a smile on their faces. They are quick to serve, the longest i've waited was 5 minutes not even. The food is really good, always served warm. Your never rushed, you can relax and enjoy your meal by yourself or with family/friends. I definitely recommend this waffle house out of all of them in Asheville. read more

Kind service and the waitress called me honey. Lots of Christmas spirit and the drinks came out very fast. The environment was very nice a decorative. There was a very big spider outside my window but other than that the inside was very neat. The water was very tasty and slid down my throat smoothly, the ice was also very nice. The food was limited during the Asheville catastrophes but they were OPEN on sept 28th. Initially. Just 2 employees. Rian taking orders , packing and bring cashier. Was the nicest most patient young man. The young lady chef was doing an amazing job. The line was out the door. No ac. The heat was difficult to stay inside. I was lucky cuz there was 5 of us and we took turns to deal with the heat. the two employees stayed n served us patiently pls commend these two for being first responders to many of us with no food. No power. No WiFi It took 2 hours. N they never took a break from the heat. Never complained they were tired. They are hero's. And I Thank you another male employee came later n changed the menu to only one choice. Sausage and cheese hash browns bowl. Didn't matter. I never knew how big Waffle House was in the south. It's crazy that we don't have any in Michigan...but honestly we don't need it. The food is just OK...I definitely prefer Coney Island style breakfasts instead. Sometimes you wake up craving crunchy, crispy hashbrowns with mushrooms and onions and Waffle House is the only thing to cure you're desires. This is where I found myself and made my way to breakfast at lunch time. Breakfast was better than I expected. The service was good. I especially like the booths that are right next to kitchen so you can see all of what's going on and also the server can easily reach over and serve you while in the kitchen without going around. It adds to the fun diner feel. Also it's kinda fun how the server calls out the order to the cook using slag shown on the menu. Menus were sticky bunt the bathrooms and restaurant area was clean. Sadly, the lowest score for a Waffle House from us. Order was incorrect, twice. They fixed it, but one of us had to watch the other two eat until their food arrived. Also, this Waffle House did not have honey, which I like on my grits. They had what they called "honey syrup". A mixture of mostly maple syrup with a touch of honey - not enough to taste. tried to call in a to go order bc it's the only place open during my break on third shift other than McDonald's and multiple occasions was not answered .... even though they are a 24 hour restaurant ... my only conclusion is the entire staff is taking smoke breaks outside without anyone to answer calls read more

Great Waffle House. It's probably the cleanest I've ever seen and the staff is friendly and service is super quick. The food is consistently delicious and the environment is friendly. It looks like it must be a nice place to work because over the past few years of going here, I recognize many of the same hosts and servers. It is located almost walking distance from Biltmore Park, so a great option if you're staying in one of the nearby hotels! We come here frequently. read more

This is legitimately the best Waffle House I have visited, (I'm a WH expert). The place was packed, had to sit at the bar. From the time we sat to the time we were finished eating was under 20 mins. It felt like the speed and proficiency of a NASCAR pit crew. They did have a district manager running the grill, so I don't know if it's like this all the time. The food is alright. Service seemed alright too. But this area was very hostile. When we first entered the building we noticed there was some guys working on a gun when we got there...a gun. Like really? Eventually the guys working on the gun started going around our table telling us how you could kill a guy with this special bottle opener...while looking at my black friend. It made him extremely uncomfortable. VERY weird location. Edit: Went back again. Everything was nice and not a bottle opener in sight. Staff were great, my pie was great. The food is always good and we order togo often. 9 times out of 10 Its wrong. They forgot my daughters entire breakfast. They tie the bags so it makes it awkward to check. I even asked on the phone after having so many issues to please make sure its right. I call and they offer me to return for the missing food.....um well no because I am already home. I've been going to this Waffle House location for about 2 years because it's probably the best Waffle House around Asheville. I went here on 02/14/2014 and as usual the food was good the coffee was hot and service was....well ok. As soon as I walked in I notice the music playing in the restaurant was loud....really loud....so loud it was hard to talk to each other. I sit down and my and a waiter asked if I wanted some coffee...but I could hardly hear him because of the loud music. So I get my coffee and then wait...and wait...and wait. Finally a waitress, who had been preoccupied with singing along with the loud music comes over and takes my order....I had to repeat my order to her because of the loud music. Anyway, I get my breakfast and everything was good like I expected. You can't beat the prices at Waffle House but this location needs to turn down the volume of the music. read more

So unhappy with my service today at Waffle House. While ordering, I was notified of a deal that got me a drink for an extra 1.50$, which i shot down. She restated the deal over and over and I felt forced even though I didn't want a drink. When we had ordered, she brought food that wasn't ours, and missed half our order. She kept returning to the table and asking us to remind her of our order. She seemed confused and distracted the entire meal. She said they were out of the regular apple juices, and gave my pal a little tiny juice box with a sip of juice. The waffle was burned, but the food was pretty good. Awful Waffle. Table was greasy and still had food on it when we went to sit down. No menus at table so we asked for some (party of three) ... was handed ONE menu. Staff was not wearing gloves (one was playing with nose) (other than the cook) and behind the tables where they cook was a mess. Looks like nothing had been swept or wiped off in over a week. Was not asked what we wanted to drink until after we ordered. (Which took forever everyone was standing around doing nothing) (staff looked high as hell too.) Food came out quick but first order was wrong. Steak and eggs , substituting the hash browns for grits. Came out, no eggs. Asked for jelly, looked back and the man we asked was on his phone. We had to ask someone else and he brought it as soon as we asked. After 25 minutes, still no drinks. (As said earlier we weren't even asked when we came in. After we ordered WE had to ask about drinks. ) Extremely unhappy the whole time we were here. My family loves Waffle House, but sadly this one was the worst. My family of 4 adults went in on Wed. Dec. 27 at approx. 1:30 PM to get some lunch. When we arrived there were 2 other tables of customers and 4 employees behind the counter. One was cooking, one male was looking at his phone, and 2 females were standing behind the counter. No one acknowledged us and we sat at a booth alongside the kitchen area. After a few minutes no one seemed to notice us. We reached over and got ourselves menus from another table. A few more minutes went by and a waitress started coming our way, but walked right by never making eye contact. The male continued to look at his phone. After sitting there 15 minutes we decided to get up and leave. No employee even looked up when we walked out. I know I could have called out "excuse me, can someone wait on us?" but really, that shouldn't be necessary. I'd give 0 stars if that was an option. read more
