We came for lunch with a big party (27 people). We were seated right away. The place was packed (beyond our party), and all the staff were calm, friendly, and courteous. We ordered the Greek sampler and a lamp gyro. Wow, our meals were outstanding! We both had water as our drinks and the bill came to $29.44. Considering the portion sizes (we took home to go boxes full of food), it was worth it. After lunch we took a ride around town and saw the white squirrels. We visited here many times when it was a Huddle House (prior to 2020) but this was our first stop since then. We sampled a breakfast and a dinner and came away happy -- sort of. Our experience had some good and some not so. For breakfast we sadly found out they can't cook eggs: our omelet was quite overcooked and dry. The biscuit should have been served hot, but the grits were quite tasty though they would have been even better with more cheese. The coffee was hot and fresh, and our server was quick and pleasant. For dinner we enjoyed the fried chicken and the reuben sandwich although the corned beef was a bit on the fatty side, not to our preference, and needed a lot of Thousand Island dressing. We asked for the fries to come crunchy and they did. And we had another good server who kindly packed some ice cream for us to take out. So, the atmosphere here is, not surprisingly, like a diner: n the small side. a little crowded but not alarmingly so. The menu, like most diners, is lengthy, covers a lot of territory and includes a breakfast available all day (hooray!). Prices don't seem out of line: our omelet loaded with ham and bacon and cheese was $11; two eggs any style with a meat side are $8. The Reuben was $11, a cheeseburger $11, roast beef with gravy $14. You get the idea. The place was clean, parking is free, and hey, it's a diner. Enjoy. read more

I've been here twice now and the service is great, a nice little diner. On the first occassion we ordered the fish and the seafood platter. Both were delicious. On our second visit, we ordered the country fried steak and the philly cheesesteak sandwich. The country fried steak platter was very good. Unfortunately, the philly cheesesteak was the worse I have ever had. It was a small sandwich, the little bit of meat was very very dry and flavorless. I had to ask the waiter for some mayo to try to make it more edible, but it didn't help. The onion rings were delicious. So long story short, visit the diner, but don't order the philly cheesesteak. For $15 it was a waste of money and should be taken off the menu. read more

First time here,I have been wanting to eat here since I started working in Brevard. I was hoping for a Mom & Pop's top place w/ Homestyle Cooking. It is very pricey for a diner. I got roast beef Open Face Sandwich & it was not good. I picked pickled beets & fried squash. The fried squash was out of this world the pickle beets were okay but too much vinegar. I also ordered fried mushrooms & they will didn't have much of a taste but once I added honey mustard they were out of this world. Lastly, got dessert & it was carrot cake!!!! Yum! Yum! The lady I had for my waitress was absolutely top notch. She was on my drinks. She kept coming back to my table constantly, she was 100% a fantastic waitress. Fantastic Road trip find. This is the place I would go to if I lived here, every single weekend. It's a little cramped inside but they make do with the space that they have. Everyone gets seated super fast, and the wait staff makes sure to greet you even if they are completely swamped. Kimmy led me down a taste explosion, that I haven't tried since I was a kid. The intimidating order of country fried steak. The white gravy had just enough seasoning, did not have to add to it the country fried steak was tender and the crust had Crispy moments to it even after eating my entire meal. They passed my test for soft scrambled eggs and I snuck a peek at other people's plates to see how their eggs were coming out. I saw over easy done to perfection regular scrambled, and everything in between. If you can cook an egg you can serve breakfast. Not to be left behind, my Belgian waffle, though isn't a traditional Belgian waffle, was perfection. Fluffy, just sweet enough, and crispy on the edges; I finish the whole darn thing. Biscuits and home fries get an honorable mention. There was nothing on my plate that I didn't enjoy. I did have a little bit of FOMO when I saw all the sausage coming out of the kitchen so order some sausage for me and let me know how it was. This place has been open for two years and they're doing home cooking and local diner Experience right. Everyone from the bus boy to the owner pitches in runs food greet customers and as bad as courteous as you always hope that anybody greeting you when you get home will be. The best part about this diner is it has a true "diner" menu with plenty of options. My wife had grilled Flounder and it was very good, grandson had his usual Chicken Tenders that were good, I had grilled Pork Chops that were a little dry and not much seasoning. No baked potatoes at 6 pm was a disappointment. Service was good and a good dessert offering, yet pricey. Worth a stop after a day of waterfall chasing. read more

Wonderful food, staff, and ambiance. Finally made it there after it had been open for two years. I went for breakfast and ordered a meat lovers omelette and it was superb. The food here was so delicious! We got there for lunch around 12:15 and the place was packed. We found a booth and looked over the menu. Quite a lot of choices! We settled on Greek food and got the lamb gyro and World Famous Moussaka with Greek salad. It was so good! The gyro had moist meat and fresh toppings. The tzatziki sauce was really nice. The moussaka really was world famous. One of the best dishes I have ever eaten. The meat sauce had some spice (maybe cinnamon?) that really set it apart. I almost licked the bowl. LOCAL DIVE. We showed up around 12:45 on a Sunday and while there was no one waiting they were busy, and the parking lot was packed. We sat at the bar, as I love watching the action in a diner. Took a minute to get waited on, but that's okay- these people were hustling. I ordered the Monte Cristo special, * note* it does not come with any sides. It was a solid sandwich, they brought out butter and syrup to accompany the sandwich. Not my all time number 1 for a monte cristo, but well done. For $9.99, I would have thought I'd have gotten a side, or the waitress would have told me it didn't come with one, but the sandwich was really big and I didn't need a side. My husband had the country fried steak, and a slew of sides, mashed potatoes, Greek style green beans, pinto beans and fried okra. The waitress told us it is all homemade. We watched a lot of the action at the fryer and griddle from our seats. They put out the food fast!! Staff was all friendly. It is a husband and wife who own the place. They are there working along side the others. I think we will definitely return for more. There were quite a few menu items that caught our attention. Support your local businesses!! read more

My husband and I stopped here after checking out their menu on Yelp and wanted Greek. We thoroughly enjoyed the moussaka, which I had, and the Gyro, which he had. My moussaka was wonderful with good flavor and perfect be bechamel. I got the tomato sauce on the side so I could add it myself and it was perfectly seasoned. The entree came with a Greek salad. My husband said the gyro was excellent, stuffed with meat and the right amount of tzaski. It came with French fries. We went about 5:45 on a Sunday- the place stayed full of customers. Our server was very nice and the food came quickly. The place was clean and we enjoyed it- will definitely return and will also try Mills River Restaurant that is owned by the same owners.
