I love waffle house the food, the best server there will be jacob, he is excellent looks like he really enjoys his job And care about customers. I only give the 5 stars because of him and the food. I can't say the same for the ladies sometimes they don't give spoons for coffee or they never come back to ask if we want more coffee we feel a little attitude sometimes , my husband is Hispanic and I'm white I don't know if this is racism but we tip however we get treated. we will be going to this Waffle House as long as Jacob is still there, he deserves the best in life, and we only go there because of him. read more

I'm sitting here feeding my baby his bottle, m with my daughter, my husband and a family friend.. the server asked everyone but me their order and walked off. every single person working right now is standing around gossiping. I havent eaten all day and was looking forward to eating here. She ignored me the whole time and proceeded to only talk to my husband and my family friend. she asked us if she could mop at our table while they were eating and I asked if she could wait and she did not. The servers name is Yasmin. The whole place smells like sewer and garbage, inside and out. Definitely will not be back. read more

I decided to give this place a try again after a year. It's the same baloney. The bacon was OK. The coffee was hot but the waffle wasn't even really that done incredible it's a waffle house and they can't even make waffles. read more

Don't come here expecting to get anything like VillageInn or IHOP, this is a place where you can eat the same stuff you had at home but you went here for the service. The chef is cool, the waiter/waitress is friendly but the most important thing about Waffle House is that they will be open even if the whole world floods. The world falls apart and you have nowhere to go? Go to Waffle House. Did you know that the severity of a storm is based on whether or not Waffle House will still be open? Check out the Waffle Houses that were open on the East Coast with all the hurricanes... I love these guys read more

This Waffle House has gone to trash. The waffles are poor excuses for waffles. Everything is burnt. Except the bacon when you ask for crispy it still comes out raw. With burn chunks on it from the previous meal. The bacon had weird holes in it. Waffles are burnt. Bread is BURNT. Even the eggs. Burnt. Flys everywhere. Smells like sewage. Silverware had food on it. Everything is dirty man. Everything. How can this place still be functioning? The only cars in the parking lot belong to the employees. This is the absolute last time my family goes to Waffle House. Rip Waffle House. You will be missed. read more

I always find it interesting to read reviews of others especially after you've just been to a place. I have to agree with Mia on her comments of others. Staffing is difficult now. Many business establishments have that same problem and hiring people to work isn't as easy as it seems especially to those who have no idea. We were seated immediately when we arrived. One table was open and it was ours. Our server, Rachel, was there fairly fast and took our orders. She was pleasant and friendly. Our food took hardly no time at all to prepare and serve. It was hot and good. I think the only issue we had was the music. Where we were seated it was loud and even though we liked it, it was too loud to have a conversation. It would be nicer if they would have turned it down a bit. The restaurant was clean and every staffer was running and working. We enjoyed. Thank you! read more

Waffle House in Apache Junction on Idaho off the 60 really turned us off tonight. We ordered and then we were made aware by another patron that the cook was bleeding on the food. He did not care until the waitress called the manager. The waitress was afraid to confront the cook because she was scared of him. We made a complaint online and also plan to call into the corporate office tomorrow. This is the most appalling experience I have ever had. read more

Stopped here for a "quick" dinner last night about 6:00 pm. You know most Waffle Houses are set up the same. This one had people at 3 tables plus us. The waitress was very nice but quickly told me it'd be a bit of a wait because the cook was behind. She was the only other person in the restaurant. We should've taken the hint and left. We waited and waited. People after us (and there were only 3 of us) were served. The waitress was running and working very hard. She kept our coffee filled but not much she could do about the food. We FINALLY got our food. The waffles weren't cooked enough and the hash browns were swimming in grease and barely warm on the inside although brown on the outside. My husband's breakfast sandwich was burned. It was bad but we were so hungry after waiting so long we just ate it. The cook was elderly and didn't look the cleanest although it seemed he was mopping the floor constantly (and presumably not washing his hands). So Pros: very nice waitress who was doing her best. Cons: food and questionable chef. They should be able to do excellent waffles since that's in their name. With the limited menu everything should be properly cooked. Sad because we try to hit Waffle House on our way home but this was bad. read more

My boyfriend took me on a late night date a couple of weeks ago. There was little open, and I'd never experienced Waffle House, so that's where we went. We dressed up a little and everything. We arrived to find all the open tables noticeably dirty. A very sweet, cute, and pleasant waitress greeted us, cleared us a table, and gave us menus. After some consideration, I chose a hashbrown skillet with all the fixens. The cute, sweet, friendly waitress was probably new. She tried very hard, and succeeded, in being pleasant, despite getting our order wrong, taking forever to bring our food, and making a number of other mistakes. Despite this, I enjoyed my meal, had a good time, and was left with a positive memory of the girl, and the restaurant. I am left with the impression that Waffle House is an experience worth having, and still recommend it. Just go in knowing it's not a classy place. It's down home, and you won't be disappointed. read more

Despite their posting they are open 24 hours / 7 days a week, they are not. I drive 20 miles round trip out of my way to find the place locked up (literally a padlock on the front door) at 11:15pm on a Thursday night. Don't waste your gas going here. They're closed. read more

I stopped by this Waffle House on 1/29/22. I had not been there in years. It was packed. I really wanted to eat there so my guy and I stayed about 15 minutes before we could sit at a booth. I'm a bit upset that their menu doesn't offer as much as it once did, but they explained the reason on a sign and stated it was due to supply issues. Understandable. The staff worked together as a team which is something you don't see much of anymore. So we got our order fairly quickly. The food was delicious. I will have to agree that the thermostat is set too low. You freeze to death while trying to eat your food. Perhaps they do that so customers will eat and leave. Not sure. To the people who left reviews complaining about no one answering the phone I can understand why they may not answer. They are super busy trying to help the customers who are in the restaurant and probably don't have the time to take a to-go order. Every place you go is understaffed, and they are no exception. I agree it would get annoying if you tried calling and no one picked up the phone, but imagine being understaffed and trying to get orders out to customers who are seated and keep them happy as well. read more

This location is not nearly as busy as some other WH locations as it's off the 60 by a bit and not as visable from the freeway. It's always clean and well staffed, and the food is as you would expect; Freakin Awesome! If I had to choose between having Thanksgiving at my parents house or at a Waffle House I would seriously have to stop and think about it. Sit in Jan's section if she's working. read more

Stopped in tonight for a quick bite. This place really blew us away. We weren't expecting much but what we found was very refreshing. A clean well stocked kitchen, very friendly and attentive staff. While we were there, the temperatures were checked, definitely slot if pride in their work and giving the customers a good experience. With it being difficult to find good staff, it was so nice to see employees that really enjoy their job and care about the experience they provide. Way to go! We will be back read more

I've eaten at waffle houses all across the country for over 40 years!! Have been going here for 20 years... what a disappointment this morning when told they no longer do "basted Eggs", not withstanding the fact that my hash browns were very greasy. I settled for eggs over, they were fair. The cook certainly not up to WH standard's. Must say coffee was good as usual and Grits awesome. I saw on google that the " no basted eggs" is temporary due to staffing issues. Come on WH Covid has been over for 2 years now. I hope you bring back the "Waffle House" soon. I would sure hate to find another place to have breakfast. I'll only go here for grits and toast for now. read more

Been here many times over the years and will keep coming back - unless they build one closer to Queen Creek. I grew up in Georgia where Waffle House is from so this is my "taste of home". If you're looking for fancy food or a nice sit down restaurant this isn't it. Waffle House is a fast diner setting and they do it well. If you're looking for grits, a perfect over easy egg or the fluffiest omelette you've ever had (seriously.), then this is your place. They also excel at "a la carte" so order what you want and they'll make it happen. Waffles are of course good here but honestly everything is good. The service here is as good as any diner, sometimes it's better than others, but it's never bad. It's always usually fairly busy which to me is a good thing. Anyways, if you want a good American throwback then hit up this, or any, Waffle House. Some of the best tea & coffee around too! Cheers! read more

Service was good here especially for 3 AM, I ordered the All Star breakfast and got to have some eggs, sausage hash browns and a waffle. The server was having a bday and was friendly and awesome. The food was satisfactory, I was expecting the waffle to be better for a place coined "Waffle House" but it wasn't bad either. The sausage was a bit over cooked and so were the hash browns but then again it was very early in the morning. They were also out of plastic silverware and weren't allowing dine in only takeout. If it's early in the morning and nothing else is open? Eh I'd go there again. Maybe I need to try it at a different time of day I've heard people say great things. My experience was ok read more

The food and service were both exceptional despite how late(early) our party came in, the waitress Bailey greeted us kindly and was very friendly during our stay. The cook Santiago did an amazing job preparing our food and the taste was just as amazing, all around it was an excellent first time experience eating at Waffle House and I would definitely eat there again. read more

They informed us and other folks that they don't allow outside food/drink (context: I had an energy drink when I walked in), and they kindly asked us if we could put it back in our cars others could hold it up front - which I was happy to do! Our specific waitress was kind and cracked jokes with me, and the other staff members were helpful when asked questions or directions. I'd recommend if you're in town! :)

The waitress was very sweet and said we would love the potatoes O'Brien. I ordered them with the biscuits and gravy. When the food arrived, I was disappointed to see how dry the potatoes were. I smothered them with ketchup and proceeded to eat. They were definitely as dry as they looked. Other members of our party were commenting on the gravy and said that it was Libbys from a can. I don't know if it was or not, but it was not good. It was thick and gooey . I couldn't finish it. Just a side note, this is my absolute favorite breakfast food AND I come from the "clean your plate club". Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 people that ate at our table were not feeling well after eating the gravy. The 4th person had not eaten it. I hate that this review is so harsh, but maybe there will be improvement in the future. I wish the owners the best of luck and hopefully the 4 and 5 stars keep coming, but as for me and mine, it will not be so.

We choose pistachio, Nutella and biscoff. The biscoff is a bit thick but it was amazing. It paired really well with the whipped cream, banana and strawberries. They also give a side of syrup, but it's sweet enough already without the syrup. We also tried the country fried steak with an over easy egg. They offer a variety of bread options such as sour dough, white, wheat,etc. we also got some chicken tenders on the side which was surprisingly very juicy and flavor ful. We were told that the chicken tenders were really under rated. Which is true. The staff were super nice and friendly. The came over to check on us here and there. And after we made a bill spill in the table everyone came offering to clean up the spill. They have a pretty wide open dining area. The floors are clean and really tidy. Whenever anyone in our group finished a plate the staff would come and ask may I clear your plate, or anything else. Whenever in Arizona would love to try other items.

The only thing that didn't quite hit were the home fries, but everything else made up for it. Service was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and very welcoming for a first-time visit. Well worth it. I'll definitely be back.
