Greeted and ordered a Spicy Chicken bowl and Beef bowl with rice. Received within minutes. The workers gave me extra sauces of my liking. Great presentation when received. It was actually pretty good. The fountain sodas were refillable. No complaints. Overall this place is good. The workers are nice which treated you with a sense of respect. Not in the greatest neighbor hood. Traffic is loud and parking is tight, all pending the time you go. This location surprised me with their clean restrooms! A+ to that accommodation!! Kudos! This WaBa is not in the best location, but if you in Torrance, stop there. The food is great and they could use the business. WaBa is a chain and there are a few in LA, but we like this one. It is never crowded and the food is always fresh and hot. They mostly have bowls there and you can get vegetarian, chicken, shrimp and beef. They may also has Tofu, but I am not sure. Every bowl we have had is great. I love the shrimp bowl. It has a great sauce on the shrimp and the rice goes so well with it. It also have veggies--ask them-and that makes for a great dinner. Their chicken and steak bowls are also super. The meat is tender and, again, it is always served hot and fresh. The rice is never dry and always soft. They also have drinks and a few other things. Took 20 minutes for my food. Gave me the wrong thing twice. Asked for a waba bowl got a chicken plate (Only got charged the bowl tho) I informed I got no steak and they remade it. I'm grateful for the larger portion I didn't get charged for but y'all messed up the order 2x technically and took 20/30 mins for my lunch. I'll skip this location in the future.... Oh also when my wrong order was done the first time it was just sitting there though I mentioned I wanted it for here. Everyone after me ordered and got food and I had to ask where my food was. We tried Waba Grill for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I really liked what I got which was the steak and chicken bowl. My boys said the food was just mid. I would come back for the bowl if it was closer to my house, but 5 miles is too far to drive. read more

If you're tired of going to the same healthy options over and over and over. Try WaBa. The salad with extra beef is SO good. It's a huge salad with almonds that add so much flavor. The girls who work the front are usually always so so nice and welcoming, but the young girl working today at 7:30pm ish was very unwelcoming and rude. I called ahead to place my order and after finishing & saying thank you she literally just hung up on me but I thought okay it doesn't matter. When I actually walked inside and said I was here for my order she was very standoffish but I thought okay understands because I know they closed soon, but after actually getting in my car and looking at my order I saw I have very very little steak on my bowl and that just did it for me. My first visit, I ordered the steak & white rice vegetable bowl and my guest ordered the shrimp, rice vegetable bowl. Both were ready within a few minutes. WaBa Grill is awesome. I used to frequent Flame Broiler quite a bit, maybe once or twice a month...until I found this place. Honestly, the quality of the food is the same to me but there are maybe two subtle differences that lead me to frequent this place more often: (1) green onions - I like green onions on my chicken bowl (lots), at WaBa there are unlimited green onions on the counter for you to add yourself, and (2) hot sauce - there are two hot sauces at this location - their regular hot sauce and a Louisiana hot sauce. Since I like my bowl loaded with green onions and a mix of both hot sauces, this is the place for me. Sorry Flame Broiler, we had our run. As for the food, it's on par with Flame Broiler. It's chicken and rice, or beef and rice, or salmon and rice. Maybe a salad. I stick with the basic chicken bowl with brown rice and I've never been done wrong. Simple and delicious. As far as other things go, this place just opened within the last year so things are still clean. Service is fine and no hassle and there is really nothing else to complain about. Was in the mood for some good Teriyaki so decided to give Waba grill a try. Waba grill has opened up bang next to my favorite Panaderia in a plaza shared by a coin laundry, dominos and Habana Vieja cuban place so parking is always tight but you manage to get a spot. At the peak lunch hour on Saturday the place was absolutely empty save the server behind the counter. I walked in to the counter and started reading the menu to figure out what to get while the server behind stood like a stone statue without offering any suggestions. I went with the chicken and steak plate ($7.99 + tax) which comes with rice, salad and a slice of orange. My takeaway was ready in five minutes. Taste wise it was a complete failure. The chicken was dry and cubed into small pieces. The beef felt bland, stringy and undercooked. The salad was just sad. The rice was of cheap quality and did not have any sesame seeds or similar dressing to enhance its flavor. I went through the motions of eating what I had got as I was hungry but was totally disappointed. This WaBa Grill is my favorite. They always provide the best service, and their food is always made with consistence. I always order the half-half veggie bowl with brown rice. This is half chicken and half beef. The bowl is always so full, that it usually makes two meals for me. Food isn't too salty. You can add more sauce if you like. Their WaBa sauce kinda reminds me of teriyaki and hoisen sauce mix. It's really tasty! On the counter, you can add green onions to your order, and they also offer spicy pickled carrots with jalapenos. Nearby is extra WaBa sauce and hot sauce (sorta like sriacha). You can also help yourself to plastic-ware, straws, toothpicks, salt, pepper. The staff is very friendly and the establishment is always very clean. Orders don't often take very long, but if you're ordering quite a bit, call ahead. They have a good amount of tables/chairs, but during lunch hours, it gets pretty busy. I'm a fan, so I'm a regular. I had never heard of or tried Waba Grill until my dad told me about it and wanted to try it out when this place opened up near us. If you've heard of or tried The Flame Broiler it is very familiar. I enjoyed my first experience with this place, they had great service. It was obvious my dad and I were first timers since we looked at their menu for a bit from a distance so we offered a printed menu and a brief explanation of what they had to offer. They even gave us some coupons for a free chicken or beef bowl with the purchase of any plate, which was awesome. So we ended up ordering their #5 Chicken Salad Plate, #12 Half-Half bowl (Steak-Chicken), and I used my coupon for their #10 Chicken bowl. Overall it was good, however I really liked their steak as oppose to their chicken and I am a chicken lover. So I'm recommending the steak instead if you don't know which of the two to choose from. They also offer rib, shrimp, and salmon. I would go back to this place.
