    French toast breakfast
    Rick V.

Been here a few times when it was Fantastic Cafe. Menu looks the same. Good variety of breakfast, burgers, dinners, and Mexican food. Back this time for breakfast. Had a French toast breakfast and steak & eggs. French toast plate had 3 Texas toast slices with a good balance of cinnamon and powdered sugar. 2 eggs, 2 sausage links, and 2 strips of bacon completed the entree. Steak and eggs had 3 eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. Green salsa has a good kick. Service was efficient and friendly.

Great food, great service. Not too pricey. Ever's has a large menu of breakfast lunch and dinner items. Traditional American and Mexican food. They keep the place really clean too. I highly reccomend this gem. I would much rather give my dollars to a local eatery than a big corporate chain. If you haven't done so already, give Ever's diner a try. They will not disappoint.

    Patiently waiting!

We got one right in the front :) There's inside seating and outside but we opted to sit outside as it was a bit stuffy inside. We ordered the shredded beef southwest skillet and marinated steak eggs Benedict and I def recommend the steak Benedict's over the skillet as the skillet came out with a skillet shaped glass plate and also the shredded beef portion was tiny and dry and the house potato on the bottom is covered with the same sauce. So for $2 more you get steak. I'm glad my wife chose that (the waitress recommended that over the sweet breakfast) Overall: food was decent and am glad another place crossed off my list. Now on the the next spot on my list. 3.5 stars!

We still live in the South Bay area but haven't been back here for many years. We decided to pay them a visit and see what's changed. Obviously the prices has changed. Since over 20 years ago, the menu looks a bit different as well. We ordered the cob salad and veggie burger. The salad portion was plenty but the burger could've been better. The price was a bit expensive for the quality and type of food. It was plain salad and the burger was also plain, no flavor or seasoning. Overall the service was decent. The gentleman who served us came back a decent amount of times and helped get us everything we needed. We ordered, ate, and also got a dessert on the way out. Their mini strawberry pie was okay. I would probably go back, hopefully the business remains open.

It's a place that holds a lot of nostalgic memories for us, so it was sad to see it like this. My wife ordered the soup and salad. The salad was fine, but the broccoli cheddar soup was completely inedible -- it was loaded with pepper to the point where she couldn't eat more than a bite. It honestly tasted like someone dumped an entire container of pepper into it. When we mentioned it to our server, instead of acknowledging the issue, he told us that "everyone has been loving the soup today." That came across as dismissive, especially considering she didn't eat it at all. I ordered the meatloaf dinner, which came out cold and extremely salty -- also not good. I still ate it, but it definitely wasn't enjoyable. The server offered to bring a different soup, but didn't offer to remove it from the bill, even though it wasn't eaten. Between the poor food quality and how the issue was handled, this was a pretty bad experience overall -- and honestly disappointing given how much we've enjoyed this place over the years.

While everyone is entitled to their opinion, I personally do not agree with the review below from Paul C. From what I heard from other parents, you visited the Fantastic's stand multiple times for food throughout the event, which speaks highly of the quality of the food. I also tried the food myself, and it was excellent. The turnout and support for their booth were incredible. They had the longest line I have ever seen at any school event, and despite the overwhelming demand, they continued serving families throughout the entire carnival. I spoke with many parents who shared extremely positive feedback, with several saying the burgers were some of the best they had ever tasted and even asking where the restaurant locations were so they could visit again. Large community events can sometimes lead to longer wait times, especially when one vendor becomes the most popular attraction of the evening. However, the team worked hard, stayed committed, and helped make the event a success for the school and families attending. Overall, I believe they did an outstanding job, and the positive feedback from the community far outweighed the negatives. We truly appreciate their support, effort, and dedication to making the carnival a memorable experience for everyone.

When I brought it up to our server, he said, "we deep clean the restaurant once a month and it's a pain because they move all the tables and chairs around". As they should since it's supposed to be a deep cleaning. It was hard to enjoy our food because it was so cold in the restaurant and the fear a clump of dust would fall from the ceiling into our food. For the time being, I'd advise people to eat elsewhere until the HVAC is fixed and they deep clean the restaurant.

At many brunch restaurants, you can sometimes sense when the basics -- like pancakes or French toast -- aren't given the attention they deserve. They may look appealing on the menu but feel rushed or underwhelming when served. Here, however, the fundamentals are done right. There's care in the texture, balance, and execution, and that consistency makes all the difference. Weekend mornings often find us slightly sleepy and very hungry, searching for somewhere comforting to begin the day. What we want is warmth and familiarity -- something that feels almost as cozy as staying in bed. And when the craving for sweet carbohydrates hits, we're not looking for restraint. We're looking for soft, fluffy, fully satisfying bites. If that's what you're after, this location delivers. You'll likely leave in a better mood than when you arrived.
