Chile Relleno and Chicken Enchilada Combo Platter
Russ L.

Chile Relleno and Chicken Enchilada was just average, nothing special. The beans was very good but rice was a bit salty. Salsa was thumbs down . I give 3 since the service was excellent and attentive.

Carnitas! Tacos and Burrito. Homemade salsas and horchata.

So-So Good!!! Sabrosisima!!! You'll love it! We had carnitas! Best in town! On top of that, the owner has THE BEST customer service and hospitality. Buenísimo!! Gracias

Carnitas Sope and beef enchilada with the typical red rice and beans. This was cold

Underwhelming at best. The food was cold and not much flavored. Elder lady who "greeted" us was not To friendly. But Lady who attended us was nice. Has potential to be good I think

Birria de Chivo

There certainly isn't a lack of Mexican foods in the area and as the competition increases the bar is set higher each time. Carnitas El Indio is definitely one that is authentic and above the bar. This unpretentious homestyle restaurant underwent a facelift since the last time I was here; a much needed renovation. Still the place is simple, choosing rather to concentrate on good food - and good food it is! The helpful server helped me navigate between the two options for Birria de Chivo - the plate or the bowl of soup. She suggested the plate which came with a small bowl of soup and a couple of tortillas on the side.I had chosen Carnitas El Indio hoping to score a plate of Mojarra Frita for lunch but when I saw Chivo, one of my favs, I knew I had to abandon my original plans. The Birria de Chivo was all that! Flavorful tender cubes of goat lounging in sauce like a sea otter in the ocean on a sunny Pacific day. Come here if you want good food without the glitz nor the incessant chatter of hipsters. Next time? Mojarra Frita or maybe Barbacoa Plate.

One of the best carnitas. Meat is tender and moist, ate wet burrito and regular burrito and carnitas plate. Inside is nice and clean.

Anais was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive, and she made us feel genuinely comfortable and appreciated from the moment we walked in. She's so nice and positive energy made such a difference and really elevated the entire experience. This visit reminded me why Sweet Wheat has so much potential not just because of the quality of the food, but because of team members like Anais who truly care about customers. I'm happy to say I'll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Anais, for such a lovely experience!

I was excited to try this establishment because the pastries looked beautiful, but unfortunately…read morethe experience went downhill from there. I stood in line for about five minutes waiting to be helped while multiple customers who came in after me were immediately acknowledged and assisted first. I was wearing a bright yellow shirt and standing clearly in view, so it was difficult to understand how I continued to be overlooked. I even glanced toward the camera because I genuinely could not believe what was happening. What disappointed me most was the customer service. When I later asked for the names of the staff members working during the interaction, Nick, Anianas, and two others.. they questioned why I was asking. I explained that I felt ignored and wanted to accurately reference who was present during the incident. As I was leaving, I overheard one of the workers say, "I feel bad for her walking out," which only added to the frustration because it confirmed they were aware of the situation the entire time. Sorry that I apparently did not fit the "typical clientele" you were more interested in helping first. This occurred between approximately 9:55 AM and 10:05 AM on Thursday, 5/21. Ironically, I had planned on purchasing a large order of pastries for my fiancé and his coworkers, but after the way I was treated, I decided not to spend my money here. If customer service matters to you, I would strongly reconsider visiting this establishment.

We chose a restaurant down the street from this place (Montauk), and boy was it terrible. My wife and I were still hungry and wanted dessert so we went to the Rockefeller, and it was a great choice. After dropping over $200 at the other place, we were pleasantly surprised to see the very reasonable prices for the food at the Rockefeller. We told our waiter that we were in a hurry to get our kids because of the bad experience that we had down the street and did a fabulous job of getting our food to us super-fast. Food: My wife got the baja fish tacos and they were presented amazingly and my wife loved them. I got the hot chocolate chip cookie and the bread pudding and literally inhaled both of them. Both were great. Ambiance: This place is so cute, inviting, relaxing, friendly, clean. Just a place that feels comfortable. Staff: Our waiter was so nice, understanding, quick and made a great recommendation on the bread pudding. Price: When we got our bill, just wow! The total bill was less than the tip that I left at Montauk and the food was 10 times better at the Rockefeller. This Rock(s)-efeller. Thank you! We will be back for sure.

We started with the salmon poke and it was uniquely marinated and delicious (would think about getting this as my main next time). My son order the pick three (they also have a pick two). He got clam chowder which creamy and also uniquely flavored, it had bacon, he had the fish tacos which were delicious, the toppings made them even better, and the furikake fries. I ordered the steak sandwich, it was really good but a lot sweeter than I expected with a shallot jam. The bread was toasty and the melty cheese was great. We shared the fries but even had some extra to bring home. The only thing I didn't love was my cocktail. I don't remember what it was called some spicy tropical drink. It would have been ok but there was some cherry foam on top that I don't think was listed on the menu. I dislike cherry flavored stuff it tastes like cough syrup to me. So if I'd known I would have ordered something else or ordered it without the cherry. I would definitely come back again. I especially recommend the lunch specials they are a good price. The service was great! After lunch we walk down to the beach to enjoy the beautiful views!

We sat outdoors and it was a bit awkward all around the fire pit, since we had small kiddos, but I can imagine that would be nice at nighttime with the fire pit on. They have kids menus and crayons and can sub fruit for fries, which is great. Both kids got grilled cheese with fruit, and they liked it. My husband and I split some dishes: tuna crudo, peach and burrata salad, and crispy chicken sandwich. Tuna crudo was awesome - definitely recommend that one! Peach and burrata had a great flavor combo, but it basically is a dessert on some arugula lol. I was expecting fresh peach slices, but it looks like they were diced and marinated. Not too surprised since it is January :). Crispy chicken sandwich was good, but a bit too salty (I'm not usually one to say that either). They do have some non-alcoholic beers and lots of others + cocktails. Family friendly and good food and good location! Will definitely be back!

Parking is iffy depending on if you're familiar with the neighborhoods or what time you come. there's a small lot next door and a good amount of street parking if you're willing to walk a little block. The music is loud and the lights are dim with some neon ambiance lights which is a fun little vibe but I wouldn't recommend for a family unless you're okay with less talking or honestly sitting outside would be nice too! The service was great as well. I unfortunately forgot our servers name but she was very sweet and attentive to the party until later in the evening when it took a while to get our check sorted out but it's to be expected on a busy Saturday night in Redondo. I would return for a bday or special event. I'm interested in trying out their brunch too!

I fainted and when I came to my wife was by my side and the tall blonde manager/owner took the time out to stop by, sit down, and check on me, actually chit-chat-(that helps me a lot). I was upright the whole time-but the only thing missing from the picture was a fireplace and a dog. I felt safe and comfortable even though I'd fainted. It was nice cause I kind of unraveled all my anxiety after, he was really engaging. Glad I didn't faint at Jack in the box. :-) Talk about the all around service experience, this place responded great-he even asked if I wanted some tea. We hadn't been there in a while, but the food was great, portions seemed large and healthy-I got the Blue Plate special, Walnut Loaf for my wife-really filling healthy and the service was tight. Feeling comfortable and welcome was the successful focus. Extra bread for cheap really made it amazing. When I came to the other customer had left, but hopefully she got her sunglasses she left that we alerted the owner manager about, sorry if my casual attitude and conversational ribbing upset you ma'am-I trust you'll forgive me and simply remember your good food and service you had instead. Thanks Green Temple This place was attentive in a million ways-we left well fed, attended to, and again had a unique and exotic dining experience, charming, healthy and delicious.
