However, the parking lot was quite dark and could benefit from additional lighting, especially in the evening. The restaurant has an open concept where you could see everyone dining, welcoming atmosphere, and I was greeted warmly by two employees and seated right away. It wasn't particularly busy when I arrived, although it became noticeably busier throughout dinner. Service remained friendly and prompt. I ordered the shrimp and calamari tempura along with the spicy edamame. The edamame was unfortunately overcooked. I also tried several sushi rolls, including the Baked Salmon and Spider Roll. Most rolls come in eight pieces, so I would appreciate a half-order option. It would allow guests to sample more varieties without getting overly full with a couple rolls. Plus, I didn't inquire, but this is the first time I've experience an AYCE order sheet with I my two columns. So I made sure I ordered heavy on my first round. One area for improvement is the consistency of the roll sizes. Several slices were quite thick, and the portion sizes varied between rolls. Overall, this is a good option if you're in the area and don't want to drive farther for other options.

A little sweet for my taste on some of the dishes. Try the Hot Pots (soup). There's a seafood soup with a funny name loaded with meat and veggies. Very nice, lighter fare. Pair it up with white rice and a papaya salad.

We usually…read morecome for their lunch specials because they're such a good deal, and my husband and I split one. He takes the salad, I take the soup, and then we split the entrée. This time we got the pineapple curry and OMG. Mmm, mmm, MMM. Every bite. The soup was delicious, the pineapple curry was packed with flavor, and I already know the salad is good because their dressing is bomb. The flavors here are always so on point. My only complaint food-wise is the rice portion is a little skimpy. If you're going to split the lunch special like we do, you'll definitely need some extra rice. But if you're trying to be super skimpy and have an affordable lunch for two, this is the way to do it! The Thai tea was a little pricey, but honestly, I think it's probably around market price these days. Now, the service and ambiance? Ehhh. You basically walk in, put your name on a little sign-in sheet, and wait to be seated. There's not much of a greeting or interaction, and the ambiance is just regular and chill, nothing special. Soooo I started this review thinking it was five stars, but now that I'm writing it out... it's probably more like a solid four-star experience with FIVE-STAR FOOD. Because let's be real, you're not coming here for the ambiance. You're not really coming for the service. You're coming because the food is freaking delicious and the lunch specials are a great deal. If you're cool with meh ambiance, meh service, good prices, and DELICIOUS food, Thai Chili is where you want to go.

First let me say that I have been here once before and I really liked it, but this last time blew the previous time out of the water! The wife and I do not eat meat on Fridays (we are traditional Catholic) and so we were looking for items that were either fish based or vegetarian. For this reason all the items we ordered were shrimp based. Well we ordered the kung pao shrimp, the shrimp in lobster sauce, the singapore noodles (shrimp based) and the shrimp chow fun. I ordered this much, because whenever we go to most asian restaurants the plates are rather sparse. Well, let me tell you...the plates were far from sparse-smile*. In fact, the plates were so filled that we were wondering how much of the food we would be taking back with us. First let me say that I was REALLY impressed by the amount of shrimp that came with each plate. There were so many shrimp and they were fresh and large. I couldn't take a bite without getting a shrimp. This was especially true with the shrimp and lobster sauce. Secondly, the food was flavorful. This was especially true of the Singapore style noodles. I found myself going back again and again to the Singapore noodles. In fact, I think my wife was getting a little frustrated telling me, "Save some for us."-hahaha*. Thirdly, the staff was very friendly. The owner came over several times to see how we were and ask if we needed anything. Her concern was that we were happy and satisfied with the food. Lastly, the prices were good. Even after ordering another Singapore Style Noodles to go, I still payed just $100. That was for 6 items and drinks. Nowdays, one could spend a $100 for just 2 people, and still feel hungry at the end of the meal. The only thing that I would suggest is that they put my chiles in the spicy food. I like my kung pao VERY spicy. If they had put in 8 or 10 more chiles the kung pao would have been perfect. I would highly recommend Red Chili

Really, really love this place. There's lots of room to sit and eat or you can order takeout online. Highly recommend!

In Los Angeles this spot would be considered pretty good, but for Redlands its great. I hope Fred eventually leaves the Food Hall and opens a full blown spot in town. Or maybe have both. Haven't been to a Flame Broiler in over 10 years, and since I had a craving for a rice bowl and…read moreI've been trying to eat healthier I decided to order delivery from this location. The food: NAE Chicken Plate comes with a shredded cabbage salad and a half of an orange, along with a sizable amount of grilled chicken and your choice of white or brown rice and steamed veggies. Mini NAE Chicken Bowl comes with your choice of rice and mixed veggies and a much smaller portion of grilled chicken compared to the plate. It's a great size for kids or for those with smaller appetites. Mini Half and Half Bowl comes with your choice of any two meats: I chose steak bulgogi and organic tofu. My Thoughts: Bowls were very basic, standard run-of-the-mill rice bowls. The meats are marinated but not sauced. Sauces are added by the customer. The Magic Sauce is essentially teriyaki sauce. Wasn't very sweet, had a saltier profile. My preference would have been to be more on the sweeter than the saltier side. I also tried the hot sauce and the jalapeño hot sauce. They were both very vinegary, not very spicy, but along with the magic sauce I thought it was just okay. I did not receive the sweet sesame dressing that I ordered on the side nor was any on my salad so unable to review. The chicken was very fatty and had a few pieces of gristle here and there, so it made it very unappetizing to eat. Used the magic sauce for additional flavor but it was just too salty for my palate. The steak bulgogi was tender and lean, not fatty at all, which I liked. It had a light marinade flavor in the meat that was noticeable and tasty. I preferred the steak over the chicken. The tofu was terrible and I normally like tofu, but this one had an odd chewiness to it that wasn't appealing. It was also very dry and flavorless. Would not get again. The steamed vegetables consisted of broccoli, carrots, and cabbage. Very very bland. No oil, butter, or seasoning. Again, tried it with some of the magic sauce but it was just too salty for my liking. The food didn't WOW me and I expected more from the sauces, but was slightly disappointed overall. I probably won't return to another Flame Broiler for another 10 years or so.
