But my wife and I decided to stop by for breakfast here in Redlands, and we were honestly so happy we did. From the start, the service stood out. Our order was taken by a very friendly staff member, and we ended up having a great conversation about tattoos--he even shared stories about his daughter's tattoos. That personal touch made the experience feel genuine and welcoming. He even brought our food directly to our table without needing a number, which we really appreciated. I don't go to Farmer Boys very often since they no longer serve the Cinnamon Roll French Toast but I saw they had their Pancake Platter on special so I thought I'd give it a try. It was a great value for the price. This meal was significantly better than the same meal at Coco's in Redlands for half the price. This location is my favorite to go to for the Pam-crusted grilled cheese sandwich ever. Caleb was the nice cashier who took my order and without reminding him I was a senior he automatically gave me that discount. Excellent quality (or should I rip off Regular Show and say, "Egg-celent" ???) ingredients - especially their breakfast burritos. I've been in Texas 19 years and still not found any establishments for dining that match this found in California. Yeah, In-N-Out is there now, but nothing matches Farmer Boys quality and flavor. Texas has a lot of fast food but not a lot of good quality quick service - so I have to get my fill when I travel home to California. I only regret I wasn't here longer to get my son more acquainted with the Farmer Boys menu. The things I took for granted when we lived in California... I just went today with very specific instructions (split a plate in half; upgrade to chili cheese fries) and they gave me no hassle and gave me the food quickly, accurately and it was sooo good. I got the Cobb salad and my sis got the turkey melt combo special and you can tell it was just freshly made. It's really nice to see that they aren't stingy with the ranch because that's the main reason we go to FB! Very Disappointing experience I had today from associate Sarah. I showed up for my phone order and this lady was rolling her eyes left and right towards me and other customers. While packing my order she literally threw in my condiment and when I asked for a second set of yellow peppers she rolled her eyes again. I was waiting for my shake to get made and while she was taking another customers order she glanced at me and yet again rolled her eyes at me. It was my first time at Farmer Boys and I wasn't sure what to order. The overhead menu listed the options but I really couldn't tell how they were different. As I was making my way to the counter, I just chose the Barn Burner, not completely knowing what it is. It's a good thing it worked out for me. It's kind of like a nightmare for someone with GERD. It's a beef burger with lots of sauce, topped with deep-fried battered slices of jalapeno, wedged between two toasted buns, and comes with a side of fries or onion rings. It was surprisingly good. The peppers were not hot; they just added a good kick. The burger was fresh and the jalapenos added a new dimension of taste. I wasn't crazy about the onion rings. The slices were nice and thick but the better was dense and on the tough side and had the texture of corn meal. I prefer the coating to be more crumbly. You get a number when you order and they will bring it to your table. Everyone was friendly, and the manager jumped in to help when it got busy and delivered my burger. read more
