Bought a Groupon to try this place out since I've driven past it so many times. First time I came here I got a half chicken half beef bowl. Chicken was delicious but the beef was dry. Felt like it was maybe 4-5 oz of meat only. I wanted to try an option with more meat, so I opted for a chicken plate my next time. I asked for the white meat option and it was a horrible idea. Chicken had the consistency of rubber. Chewy and didn't even taste like meat. If you come here, prepare yourself for small servings of meat. Stick with the original chicken too. read more

Eat here for my lunch break quite often. Some of the cashiers recognize me and are friendly. Food is 90% good, have had a couple of bad days here and there where the chicken was dry or burnt, but for the most part is usually perfect. One thing I would suggest to management is hiring a third person just for the lunch rush. It can get very, very busy around noon with all the nearby businesses taking their lunches (including all the nurses at the hospital) and an extra pair of hands would definitely speed things up. read more

Love this location. I stop by after the gym in the evenings and it's basically my go to Waba grill location. They have a sign in program on an iPad at the register where you can earn points each time you go and get freebies once you accumulate a certain amount. The staff is always so nice and friendly, there's a girl at the register weekday evenings that's the best, super nice and excellent customer service getting orders out quickly. She even remembers what my usual order is! Love this location and it's staff. They do close a bit early on the weekends, around 5 I think. Ordered for pick-up over the phone. Good customer service, when I got there my food was ready to go. My chicken was cooked well done just like I asked for. Quite possibly the worst customer service I have encountered. Rolando managed to mess up an order as simple as 3 chicken bowls with brown rice. We had the order to go and get home to white rice in all three bowls. You would think a simple phone call to the store would resolve this issue right? We were fortunate enough to get Rolando on the phone and he said he was going out of his way to give us 1 free chicken bowl if we drove all the way back to the store. That's correct one correct chicken bowl in exchange for 3 wrong bowls. We were told that is all he can do, no manager or anyone supposedly in charge at the time of all this. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Can't even count how many times I've asked for avocado on my bowl, they charged me for it and come to find they never put avocado on You can clearly tell which reviews on here are fake and which reviews on here are real due to us all saying the same exact thing. WaBa Grill got me hooked for that post-workout meal! I've grown fond of this place ever since my friend recommended this place to me. I'm always on the hunt for something healthy that can help me balance out my diet. Firstly, this place is conveniently located off of Chapman on the other side of the 5 Freeway in a small shopping plaza. I can't complain, it's not too far from my house either. Menu - Their menu is pretty easy: Plates, Rice Bowls, Specialty Plates & Rice Bowls w Veggies. My all time favorite and go to has to be a Rice Bowl with Brown Rice Half & Half (of chicken and beef) with Veggies. This location is quick, clean & presentable. They have indoor dining which is nice and outdoor if wanted as well. The staff here is super friendly and I have never had a bad interaction with anyone. read more

I'm sure most people compare Waba Grill to Flame Broiler. Or, if you're old school you'll liken it to Yoshinoya (yep, they're still around). Essentially, it kind of is the same thing. The key difference that stands out for Waba Grill is that they also offer shrimp as an option instead of just chicken or beef. Other than that, it's virtually the same idea. The food was good. I ordered my standard white meat chicken bowl with brown rice and veggies. I like that their bowls actually allow you to mix everything together. They have nice wide bowls so that you mix everything up without having your place mat look like a toddler sat there. I found the food to be a bit salty for me, but when I checked the sodium level it was the norm. Coulda just been that my tastebuds were off or something. I don't know if I'll go back to this location as it was a little sketch. There was some dude hanging out front that looked like he was fresh off Molly or bathsalts or something. I don't know. I just don't want to get shanked or catch a case for shanking someone for a chicken bowl. read more
