New ownership, still fresh and fairly priced and fast. However I asked for brown rice with my chicken bowl and they gave me white rice ... which isn't obvious until you're 5 bites in, and didn't want to wait for them to remake it. Once again a fail. I also asked for it to eat there and they didn't give me a tray. No big deal, right? So I thought. They called my number and I tried to pick up the food with my drink cup in the other hand, and the bowl flexed and almost dropped the contents all over the floor. This location is close to my work and my go to when I forget my lunch. I just want to point out the great service I always receive and the prompt service. I believe the guy who seems like the manager (Jesus) is great at taking orders / keeping up with the kitchen! Shout out to him because he seems to really enjoy his job. The place itself is kept clean, especially the kitchen from what you can see at the register. My food is always great and pricing is very reasonable. Would come back and recommend! read more

The lady behind the counter didn't know how to use the computer for orders clearly. I asked to get the rib plate with no salad, but substitute it for rice. She stood there for 5min trying to figure it out. 15min later I received the beef plate and I ordered the rib plate. Waited another 10min just to get back with the salad and dressing everywhere. I see several other reviews from this location (Orange Chapman) raised concerns over the service. I experience very bad service from the staff at this location. I asked a simple question to the cashier if they take American Express. The cashier didn't acknowledge my question nor did she give me eye contact, she looked at the cash register instead. I got annoyed and I said "so do you accept American Express or not?" Next, while holding my credit card in hand, she asked what the CVV number was, I said "it's on the card, in your hand!" After waiting for my order and watching other people that came in after me get their food, I asked for my order and the body language from the employee was as if I was bothering her for asking. Then, my meal didn't come with salad dressing. Once again, I had to get up to ask for dressing and received a silent retort for inconveniencing the staff. Came a half hour before closing, order of Salmon Bowl was rushed and served cold. They offered to make another, but I never chance fast food received in lieu of something sent back. To be fair, I once ordered food here and it was prepared perfectly. .500 average isn't good enough for my money. Update 9/1/19 under "new" management, decided to give it a chance because of convenience of location.... There is a girl working the cash register handling food AND cash, with 1" nails not wearing gloves and going between the two. This IS disgusting. read more

Extremely rude service. I called in to make an order and asked for the persons name in case my order was messed up and she asked why do I need her name and put me on hold for over 15 mins. I can hear her laughing and giggling so during that time I also filed a customer complaint on their main website notating the date and time this happened so they can trace it back to whoever is working that day. This place is great! Finally a great healthy choice of semi-fast food :) Just recently opened so it was nice and clean! The staff was very helpful and friendly. All veggies, rice, and meats tasted fresh and were all well-seasoned. What else can I say? It's a great chain with great food choices! I hope the quality remains the same as time goes by. It's like Flame Broiler, but I'd rather go to Flame Broiler. Waba Grill does have more options though. There's steak, chicken, shrimp, salmon, salads, and other stuff. The place is right off the 5 freeway near the Denny's and Jack in the Box. Place is very clean and you could sit inside or outside. What we got: Steak Bowl ($6): add some teriyaki and hot sauce and it's a pretty good dish. I ate about half of it and I was already full. I was actually surprised with how much it came with. Steak wasn't chewy and it wasn't bland that I could have probably done without the teriyaki sauce. I'm always use to adding stuff into my food before tasting it...but it all turns out good! Chicken & Steak Plate ($7.80): the only difference from a plate and bowl is that a plate has half an orange and a salad. It looked like the amount of rice/meat was the same as my bowl so I don't think it's worth it to get a plate...My BF got it with brown rice so that's an extra $.50 charge. Out of the chicken and steak, BF would have all chicken. I guess because it compliments the teriyaki sauce more and it wasn't try or flavorless. Service: It was pretty quick. The girl taking out order could be more nice and patient, but that didn't bother me too much. You go up to the counter and order what you want, and your food will be ready in like 5 minutes. They have pickled carrots and jalapenos if you like that and you can add extra green onions to your dish as well. read more

Instead I had chicken that had the same texture as boiled chicken, and no amount of sauce could fix it. The veggies were still hard and basically raw, even though they were supposed to be steamed. I don't know all the details but some of their specs is no msg, no trans-fat oils, no skin!! They also offer plates, bowls, shrimp, chicken, vegetables. What did a just eat, a barbecued rat? Meat was very interesting and chewy. All the meat was dark and tasted funny. The sticky rice was...... super dry. The vegetables tasted like it's been in the steamer all day. After the guy finished my bowl, a monstrous fly landed on the cutting board. Wow, that was not pleasant. Then this monstrous fly kept landing on my head as I was eating. It was obvious this fly thought I was in his territory because he wouldn't stop attacking me. As I was leaving, the guy who prepared me food had his cell phone on the cutting board. WTH. WHO DOES THAT!!!!! Stay away, food is disgusting and they have flys that attack. Placed my first order for pickup with you guys and not only was the girl at the restaurant rude and not attentive, she got my order wrong and the all veggie/no rice option I paid extra for (I know it's only $.035 but it's the principle of the matter) was not what I got. Instead I got minimal veggies and a full bowl of rice. Not to mention half of the meat in my bowl was either hard, dried out, overcooked chicken or just fatty strings from the steak. Definitely not impressed with my first experience here and was absolutely not worth the almost $22 I paid for 2 bowls. I got better service and quality at a McDonald's drive through. read more
