If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed an order on uber eats today at 6:26pm. I received a knife inside my sandwich!!! Therefore making it inedible. They also forgot my coke. This is completely sickening. I will be reporting this to uber eats as well. They do stuff like this on purpose because they are tired of working!!! I have never been to this location before even though it is so close to home. Now that I work int he area, I decided to walk here for lunch. I was not disappointed. The sandwich makers are fast at making the sandwiches, even during the lunch craze. Prices are similar to any other Subway so that's a plus. I ordered my usual Oven Roasted Chicken sandwich and I loved it. They have those cool soda machines with a million options so that was refreshing. There is an upper dining area that we sat at to enjoy our lunch. It was cool in there so we got to escape the heat instead of eating outside like usual. You are welcome to refills since the soda machine is right there. I suggest anyone to stop by here. I am sure when school is back in session, it will be crazier so at least I got to enjoy this place before all the hysteria begins. read more

Employees at this location are disinterested and not helpful. At times they're outright contemptuous. Avoid this location if you can, ownership should consider revamping whatever system they have for vetting new hires or training their staff. The last thing anyone needs when ordering a sandwich is some unhappy sandwich artist passive aggressively preparing food as slow as possible like it's going to prove something/make their day better. The employee who helped me honestly looked miserable, she had a horrible attitude making my sandwich which is a shame because I wanted a combo but I did not even get it due to how awkward she made me feel. The parking is difficult. The only pro is the inside is clean & appears like a nice atmosphere until you're being helped. The sandwich was extremely salty, the bacon was raw & hard pieces interrupted several bites of the sandwich that I didn't even eat because it wasn't that great and I'm guessing the hard pieces from the avocado when she put it on. Although I asked for it toasted, I could still taste the cheese raw. Wish I could get my money back smh I will never I'm back here or recommend this location to anyone. It felt like a bother just to talk in there, my family and I ate and in the upper level of the eating area and after we finished my kids and I left leaving my wife behind to put more Ice in her cup, Karina says to her co-worker "Ugh finally they are gone" little did she know my wife was standing behind the soda machine. I visit Subway about once a week for breakfast. They recently experienced an egg shortage and I was bummed. I kept calling different locations to see if they received any eggs, but kept hearing "no". Domingo called me personally (I didn't ask him to do this) when eggs arrived and I rushed there to get breakfast! This location is clean and well maintained. It was tough a) reviewing this place and b) even going because I was a longtime fan of the Chapman Coffee House (and the used bookstore that was here eons before that). I think a lot of us weren't thrilled when we found out a chain was getting put in instead. That being said, I do love a good Subway sandwich and this place is close enough for me to walk to so I decided to give it a shot. It's worth noting that it's still owned by the family that ran the Chapman Coffee House so it's not totally corporate-owned. It opened just a few days ago but I noticed on my way home from work that there was never anyone in it (a rarity for new places that open near/in the Circle). I stopped on by for lunch on a Saturday at noon and it was still pretty dead. One other guy came in and ordered after me. Not the most encouraging sign but maybe word will spread (with a little help from us Yelpers). They have the standard Subway menu with the addition of a coffee bar where you can pair your sandwich with a caramel coffee concoction if you want to. I haven't been to a Subway in a while (thanks to Jared) so I'm not sure what the going rate for a Foot Long is these days, but at this location, the Oven Roasted Chicken that I ordered was about $7.75 and a medium drink was $2.00. The inside is very cool I have to admit. Very modern. The menus are basically TVs and they have an actual TV in the front and one in the back "lounge" area that even shows what song is playing in case you want to download it (I dug the music selection personally). They have a nice mix of high and low tables. My only complaint as a disabled person though is that they kept the stairs in to get to the back area. I always hated this about the Chapman Coffee house and was hoping Subway would at least level it out but they didn't. If you are mobility impaired at all, your only option is to come in the front and sit at any of those tables (which there are plenty of at least). I'm bummed they took the outdoor patio away too but the nice big windows give you a nice view of the world going by outside. The girl who helped me was friendly and there was a second staff member who was on her lunch when I walked in but she still greeted me (she was also eating Subway which is always an encouraging sign). They have A TON of chip options. I've never seen so many at a Subway before. Another thing I've never seen? The fancy touch screen soda machine for Pepsi products. I've only ever had the gift of using a Coca Cola products one before. It was fun getting my Cherry Dr. Pepper to say the least. All in all, it's not the Chapman Coffee House anymore but it's good. I do like the extra "cafe" vibe. There's only about 25 other Subway Cafes across the country so it amuses me they decided to put one in Orange but hey, we must be special then right? I would say definitely give it a try. It's hard letting go of businesses past but an Oven Roasted Chicken sandwich just might do the trick. read more

Incompetent staff. I was ordering two different sandwiches, the first one with provolone the second with NO CHEESE. When we got to the second sandwich he asks what cheese and I said no cheese. He didn't seem to understand English well because he proceeded to put cheese on the tuna sandwich. I said several times no to stop him but he didn't even understand what no cheese meant so I had to just pick it off afterwards. You guys seriously need to have workers who at least understand what the customer is saying. No cheese is very simple, and so is the staff! read more

My sandwich was really messy (this is what it looked like when I unwrapped it). Obviously, the taste was there because I chose what went in it, but the presentation needs some work. The vibe of the place was super relaxing and chill, so I guess that's where it makes up for the messy food. Chapman students get a free drink and chips with a valid Chapman ID. read more

I am extremely disappointment with the chicken, bacon, avacodo wrap. I questioned the lady behind the counter, about the wrap. Because the wrap was red. She said it was tomato and basil.
