Tried BLAZE PIZZA for the first time today. This place offers many options so everyone gets what THEY want in a pizza. Restaurant IS VERY CLEAN AND WELCOMING, staff is super helpful and courteous and explained the ordering process and all options. I ordered the HALF pizza (original crust, thin and crisp), chose from a MYRIAD of fresh meats and toppings, and also chose the spring mix side salad (they also have MANY larger salad choices). I was completely surprised how PERFECT the crust was!! I prefer Cauliflower crust which was not an option for this meal, but the original crust (a thin crust) was just incredible and perfectly baked. The preparation was excellent in that just the right amount of everything, including cheese, was used and baked to perfection. The salad was excellent and FRESH, not to mention plentiful (the Balsamic dressing is insanely delicious and balanced wonderfully with the oil). To top it off the service was very FAST. I drove in from Westlake to meet my son and to grab some pizza, but my experience here was disappointing. When I asked to use the restroom, I was told it was only for paying customers. After asking to speak with the manager, she confirmed the policy -- which I found pretty rude, given that I was planning to order food. I told her I wouldn't be eating there and left. I went down the street to The Pizza Press instead -- great service and even better pizza! Just a heads-up: when you treat people poorly, they don't come back. Don't insult your potential patrons. We like coming to the circle to enjoy the atmosphere and a cup of coffee and we would historically stop by Blaze to get our son a pizza and then we started enjoying it, too! It isnt artisnal or gourmet for you real foodies out there, but it is a decent and convenient pizza option. Last night, we came in and Anthony helped us. Wow! He really took the experience up a couple of notches. He was friendly, offered suggestions, and even asked us to let him know when to fire our dessert so it wouldn't sit and get cold while we enjoyed our pizza. Now, to what we had - Anthony suggested a deal that includes three pizzas and three side items for $45. I got the bbq pizza (added pineapple), and it was great. My son got the herbivore and, thankfully, Anthony reminded him that there's a spicy sauce on that one that hits a little too hard, so my hubby subbed regular tomato sauce instead. My son got the four cheese and added mushroom. All pizzas were as good or better than expected - mine was my favorite. We also got a side of pesto cheese bread that was scrumptious and a dessert flat bread with sugar, cinnamon, butter, and glaze, which my son was obsessed with and was a noce accompaniment to my after-dinner coffee. Update: I had to call the store because my refund hadn't hit my account like they said they had processed. A gentleman answered and helped me out and said it seems they never went through with the refund. I'm gonna assume maybe they just forgot but if you said "I just refunded it right now" then you should've done it right then and there like this young man did. Also got an email for it to. I work nearby, and I've come to eat here a couple of times. I haven't in like a month or two and decided I wanted pizza. I got my pizza also added a ranch I noticed it was 79¢ more okay no worries they started to charge for it I get it... I get my ranch it's 2 oz not even full and you're charging grand total $85 for not even full cup of ranch? I worked at another pizza place and we had 4 oz ranch cups for 75¢ and they were filled, $15 pizza already and you can't fill up a ranch cup. OH now that I opened my pizza I asked in the directions for extra garlic where is the extra garlic Again for $15 for the only two toppings I asked for I didn't get the amount I had asked. Okay wow I've never had to edit my review before but I took a bite of my pizza what the heck? Why was 3 tons of salt poured all over it?!? This is completely disgusting.
