Most of the employees appeared to be very hard working. No one had to tell anyone what to do as soon as they were done they would just go do something else. We ordered green beans 4/5, beef pancake roll 4/5, calamari 5/5, spicy beef noodles soup 4/5, and the egg and tomato noodles 5/5. We were full and satisfied.

This was our first time here and will not be returning to any noodle st based off this unsatisfying encounter.

Lobster: we enjoyed the Colette special sauce, it was aromatic with the basil, good level of spice, and lobster meat was cooked perfect. Salt and pepper calamari: great crunch, wish it had a little more salt & pepper & garlic seasoning most pieces weren't coated, but the calamari texture had the perfect chew. Crispy vermicelli with beef: loved the crispy noodles and soft beef stir fry textures together, definitely ask for chili oil with this dish, it needs that extra umph of flavor for the noodles. Salted egg yolk pumpkin: I normally love this dish, only wished the outside was crispier, got soggy fast and with how thick these are cut you want the crispy exterior, but flavor was good. Only thing that made me feel a bit "eh" was the chipped plateware they have and continue to use. Service - wonderful! Everyone was so friendly and had nice customer service. They even helped recommend dishes and also share opinions on what we shouldn't order which I loved. Parking - free parking lot! There are a few spaces right in front of the restaurant. But around the side there's more parking as well.

I met a friend here for dinner and had a great dine-in experience. We both ordered their "Original Nagoya Mazesoba" $15.29 and got their Karaage $8.99 to share. It was my first time here and I figured the famous original dish is always good. The noodles are thick, and all of the strands had their own little bounce to them, just the way I like it! It arrives unmixed so I also enjoyed vigorously mixing it myself and seeing it all come together. I especially enjoyed popping the poached egg on top and seeing the egg oooozing, paired with the minced pork, green onions, chives, dish powder, seaweed, and garlic. They have really perfected the recipe here to make the perfect dry noodle dish! If you dine in, the servers will also bring you a scoop of rice. I didn't really understand it at first as to why, but I later finished my noodles and thought "oooohhhhhh!" FYI the rice is used to pick up the rest of the delicious sauce left on the bottom of your bowl and it makes for an extra carb-filled surprise. The perfect way to end a noodle dish by the way, with rice for more carbs, duh! My only feedback, and I was indeed warned by my friend, is that the noodles make you a little thirsty. My friend told me she thinks its their fish powder seasoning that somehow makes you just feel like you need to chug a glass of water, so just make sure to bring a little extra water with you, haha! Also, fair warning here since you made it this far to reading this long review. The seats were very loud to move around in the dining area, and we can just about hear every squeak the metal chair made when anyone moved their seat, too! Other than those things, the noodles are a life I've already been raving about Menya Hanabi to my friends and will definitely come back!

There's a good amount of chewy thick noodles underneath. Very flavorful- so much so that I recommend adding vinegar to lessen the greasy taste. This is located in the Sheraton hotel in Saint Gabriel. There is garage parking, which can be validated. Once in the lobby, follow the sign that takes you towards Starbucks, you walk through a doorway and the restaurant is to your left. The interior is nicely decorated with its high ceilings and cool light fixtures. We had their 10 course pre-fixe menu consisting of earth and sea (or surf and turf) 8 out of the 10 courses were absolutely delicious. There were two that were a bit disappointing. They started off with a Yuzu palate cleanser, which should've been served midway through the meal. Course 6, Celadon Trinity was served as another cleanser, but was basically some sliced cucumbers, tomato and bamboo. The rest of the courses that consisted of prawns, salmon, and cut of Wagyu were all prepared and plated very nicely. The salmon was very tender, prawns were perfectly cooked. The Wagyu courses were delicious, though the short rib and outside skirt were very similar. The service overall was great, but can use some fine-tuning. There was no one at the reception station when we arrived so we had to wait a while for someone to finally acknowledge us. The courses that came out could've been explained a little better or clearer, and throughout the entire meal, our utensils weren't replaced with clean ones. So we kept using the same ones that had remnants of the previous course. Crumbs and bits of food on the table weren't cleaned. These were mostly minor things but using the same utensils isn't consistent with a tasting menu experience. It's worth a visit if you can overlook these minor issues, especially the time saved from having to travel to DTLA from the SGV for a similar experience.
