This is my all time favorite nail salon! I love all the sweet ladies there. Sam is great for acrylic nails, and Nina and Nancy are great for normal mani pedis and shellac nails. This place was a very nice and clean place. The service was neglectful and at some points rude. My daughters nails were mediocre at best. They took at very long time to dry and we're chipped before I walked out the door. When she asked to have them fixed she was given some attitude. Since they were not done correctly the 1st or 2nd time by the 3rd time getting them fixed she was not treated with care. We ended up leaving unsatisfied. She had Nga Pham. I really wanted to like this place. The reviews were great and people seemed to adore this place. Maybe I just came in on a bad day, but I don't think I would go back. I was surrounded by regulars, so I stuck out a bit, but it all started great. However, my services were very rushed. I had a manicure and pedicure and I felt as if I was in the way. It was definitely a pleasurable experience...just a fast one. Also, the staff was not as welcoming as one would hope. First visit was great. Second was a cluster - I could hear people around me complaining. I went a third time and it was bad. Service and attitude/. Left me waiting with chemicals on my fingers. Customers complaining. Not taking people in order/. Needs some management here. I won't be returning nor will my teenagers who complained also. read more

I do not recommend going here for a dip manicure. Mine lasted less than a week before they all cracked and ruin my nails. Usually a dip manicure lasts 3 weeks on me. Also, while she was doing my nails several of my cuticles bled due to the drill. read more

Vo's is average compared to the nail spas in the surrounding area. It is relaxing and the mani and pedi are done nicely. However, I had to wait over 25 minutes despite the fact that I had already scheduled an appointment. Further, I went with a friend and they did not try to accommodate us with pedis or manis located near each other, which defeated the purpose of a 'girl's day.' read more

Don't know how they stay in business and get any good ratings. Worst manicure ever. Both my friend and I gave it a try. We were led to pedicure seats where our sloppy manicures were given while technicians were holding our hands up. Our hang nails weren't even clipped. The polish applications were amateur. My boyfriend surprised me with a mani/pedi. My 7 year old daughter also got a polish change. They were hosting a birthday party for a little girl my daughter's age, which was cool. I loved the atmosphere. They have complimentary drinks (coke/diet coke/sprite/wine/champagne/water/etc), and TVs. The pedi chairs are great, but not very customizable. Most of the staff were friendly, but my tech left very much to be desired. Her English was horrible and communication ineffective. The pedi itself was ok, but rushed; and she didn't fully file my feet. The water was also too hot (which says a LOT, as I usually like it hot). I had to wait for my mani, which was no problem bc of the party. No one bothered to check my daughter's nails so she could get up when they were dry. The polish on them was done well, though. I had not been given time to pick a nail color for my mani before going back, so I had to do so in between services. The tech (same from pedi) kept coming up front and rushing me, so I just grabbed one. (She'd walked away the previous time, when I'd asked for suggestions on a color.) I ended up not caring for the color, but whatever. I presumed the rush was needing the chair for the party, which would have been fine and understandable; BUT, when she finished, the tech just walked away. Never said 'thank you', 'bye', nothing. I was left sitting in the station to dry. My nails were sloppy, and a few had bubbles. I didn't see her again until about 45 min later, when my daughter and I were sitting in the lobby waiting for my bf to pick us back up. She glanced at me, then looked away. No smile, nothing. (Which I'm somewhat thankful for, as there was really nothing NICE I could have said back.) She then proceeded to act as though we weren't even sitting there. I hadn't been rude or mean to her, I just hadn't particularly felt like being uber sociable. I was minding my business, letting her do her job. Overall, I would give this place 1 more chance, given that all my issues were related to the one tech. I just won't let HER touch my nails again. I'm typically one to tip 30% or more for quality service. Today's experience didn't leave me wanting to tip anything at all. I've not been able to say that in many many years. read more

I just had an OK manicure. Had to wait for a manicurist, which wasn't a problem, but then one of them started mine while I was still sitting on a bench., waiting for a table. Had my fingers wrapped In plastic with lotion, but didn't get the hot mitts. She shaped my nails and trimmed my cuticles, and a hand massage but no neck and shoulder massage. Polished my nails. I got only half the treatment! It is suppose to be a relaxing experience but I felt like they were doing me a favor. Not sure I will go back read more

I've visited several nail salons around Memphis, and this location was by far the most serene. I walked in 30 minutes before closing for a soak off and dip manicure. I was hesitant because most nail artists would have rushed through the process but Lena took her sweet time. It was one of the best dip jobs I've had! The atmosphere was calm, organized and clean. WARNING WORST SALON! DO NOT GO ! Came in. Asked for a pedicure and to get my nails taken off and a new set. I sat in the chair. Got my mimosa. She then started to do my pedicure... and another lady came and said she was just going to take off my nails polish. Then she convinced me to leave my nails on and don't get a new set. So I trusted her. Like 10 min in my pedicure the manger comes n says they close at 7 Pm and I have to get my nails done the same time as my pedicure. Which when u get a pedicure u want to relax and enjoy it. Instead I did not enjoy at all bcuz I had to be in an uncomfortable position well she did my fill in. Very noisy too. The other ladies where standing around my car talking in their language and being very loud. I asked for another mimosa.... and the lady brought me back half a cup of just orange juice smh ! ! ! Was so not relaxing considering I never get pedicures.... thought I would treat myself. Boy was that a mistake. The fill was on my skin ! The nails polish job she did was horrible. The lady who did my Pedicure did a very nice job. And I wasn't even aloud to wait for my nails to dry. As they where rushing out at 7:15 pm. I should have went Sundar to begin with. Best salon in town for shellac manicures! I'll ask for Lina if she's available, but honestly, they're all great. Been coming here for years and every shellac mani I've gotten has lasted at least two weeks. There's hardly ever a wait, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and their services are reasonably priced. The salon is always very clean and relaxing, even during the busier times I've been. I have been going to Vo's since they opened in 2008 in Collierville. I now go to the Sanderlin location since it is so conveniently located near my work. Since day 1, I have always been treated like royalty every single time. From walking in the door, to being pampered, to leaving and being welcomed back, 100%. Their services are top-notch and very reasonably priced. They treat you like family and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The atmosphere is fantastic. Welcoming, Quiet, spa-like, not to mention the complimentary drinks while you're there being pampered. The wax room is a very comfortable atmosphere also. They cater to your every need and know you by name after about the 3rd visit. All around amazing! I always look forward to seeing all of my favorite people every couple of weeks. Not sure why its been so highly rated. I had a gel manicure done and it started to peel after only two days! And during my manicure, a customer came in complaining that her gel nails had peeled off in only three days. Yes, the salon is clean, quiet and it was a nice experience. However, I spend the extra money expecting it to last more than a few days. I travel frequently to Memphis and I had hoped this would be a great resource for backup when I'm short on time.
