Four hours in the shop to literally leave in tears. I asked the manager if she could please help, and at least put a topcoat on my nails. They told me that they would give me a $15 discount. I showed them a picture of what I wanted, and they said that they could definitely do it. Instead they ended up putting press on nails instead of a full gel dip ombré set. She said that it's better to do gel polish instead of ombre powder because it won't last. Turns out that she just did not know how to do it. After telling her that it was definitely not what I asked for she took all of the polish off and tried again. One hour later it still looked horrible. I asked her to just paint each nail a solid color. There was no topcoat put on my gel pedicure, and two people attempted to draw a simple flower and were unsuccessful. The owner said that she was the only one that was allowed to do ombré with dip, but unfortunately she was busy. After four hours I am so disgusted and so frustrated. I am such a nice and unconfrontational person. I let her know that her staff was extremely nice, just not very experienced. She told me that I can go now. I still ended up paying over $100 for my press on nails. I will never go to the spa again, and I do not recommend anyone else go either. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. I knew someone that had been here in the past and had good things to say about it. With that said- every nail salon I've been to, the polishes are all displayed for you to look at for you to pick out your color. Here, while they are displayed like other salons, they have a sign posted all around the polishes that states "Do NOT touch the nail polish. We have a book you can look at". Uh..okay. My friend and I were looking at the polishes trying to figure out where this book was and after several minutes, one of the girls finally offers it to us. The book itself isn't necessarily a bad idea. But, they only had one, that we know of (which would be difficult if there were more than one person trying to pick out a color) and it only had numbers, no names or brands of the polish. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but for me personally, I prefer OPI polishes and if you only go by the numbers, you have no clue what brand you're getting (Which I understand that's more of a personal thing, not necessarily an issue for everyone). Once we choose our colors we are led back to the pedicure chairs, which have definitely seen better days. The salon itself could use a makeover. This doesn't affect the quality of their work, just something to note. They begin our pedicures and then about halfway through, another person came and started working on our manicures while we were still in the pedicure chair. I have had other salons do this as well but only because they were so busy that all the other manicure tables were being used. This was not the case today. Only one manicure table was being used at the time and the other 4 or 5 were empty. So I was a little confused. It also was a little awkward doing it that way because both my friend and I got shellac manicures. So they brought a pillow over to sit in our laps so they could place the UV lamp on it. The only reason I could think of why they did it this way was to get customers in and out in a timely manner. After it's all said and done, the young lady doing my manicure did a great job, which isn't always easy since my nails tend to stay really short because they break easily (I have no clue her name because no one had name tags) and she was really nice and pleasant to talk to. My pedicure was also very nice and the polish job looked great. Prices were very reasonable as well. This place just had some really odd practices that kinda turned me off a little bit. read more

I only gave this place 4 stars so you would read my post. This place was horrible. The workers were attitudinal. I asked for a mask because I can't handle the strong acetone smell. It took over 5 minutes and multiple requests to get one and the look I was given by multiple workers was unsettling. They never asked us if we wanted anything to drink, but the first person of Anglo decent was asked immediately. I sure won't come here again. I will start by saying that the shop is very clean & the staff was very friendly. I genuinely enjoyed my time there! I got a full set of acrylics done. Three days after, one of the nails has already fallen off. I haven't been using my hands very much at all. I hadn't even snagged the nail that fell off once! I'm at the end of day four now and all of my other nails are pulling up a little at the back. I can probably pull them off if I try. I've never had acrylics come off this quickly, and I wasn't even doing half of the work I usually do! This was definitely NOT worth the $33. I am so disappointed. read more

I will never go back. I visited Le's Nails on the recommendation of yelp reviews. I so mad that I did. My technician was the worst. She pulled at yanked at my legs, and yelled at me when I didn't move fast enough putting my feet into and out of the water (for the pedicure). I selected two polishes and told her before she started my service that I wasn't sure which polish I liked. She began to polish with one, and I didn't like it. So after painting one, ONE, toe, I asked her to use the other polish. She scoffed, closed the bottle and threw the bottle toward her utensils. It was about 10:30 in the morning and I was one of the first customers in the shop. I can't imagine why she had such a bad attitude, but she will not have to worry about me visiting again. read more

In Memphis for work and needed a new set of nails and a pedi badly. This was the closet to my hotel with the highest ratings on Yelp. So, I called and went in. The salon is really nice and clean, decorated nicely. But the thing I liked most about this place is how very fast they are. Not fast sloppy, fast spectacular. I definitely thought the speed with which everything was doing was going to make this a botched job, but my nails are some of the best I've ever had done. I think the thing that cost them one star is talking in another language with each other constantly. This is just a big pet peeve of mine. I will not frequent a salon that does it. I'm torn: pedicure services are awesome, my tech not as much. Knowing that they have a big yelp presence (judging by the yelp sticker on their window), most people know about the complimentary wine. Not only was I never offered this wine, I was barely spoken to at all. My tech was more worried about talking to her coworkers in a language other than English. I literally had to interrupt her if I had a question. The other techs had provided their customers with wine and conversation. So at least I could see that my tech did not reflect the way all the employees interacted with customers. I tried multiple times to talk to her or make a joke with no response. At one point I was confused about where she wanted my feet bc she couldn't stop chattering with others to ask me in English what she wanted. The pedicure is nice including a massage, hot stones (which didn't do much as they were on my legs for all of 3 seconds) and then hot towels. When she was done however, she lifted the side of the chair and pointed me to the drying station...the whole time still chattering. They also had massage chairs that I wasn't aware of until my pedicure was over. I understand it's a business and they just want to make money. But the spa that will keep me returning will make me feel like more than a bottom dollar. People get pedicures to feel pampered and relaxed. Not anxious and in the way. read more

Be aware some of the wonderful, talented nail techs here could ask you if you would like any "clear", unless you would like shiny toe nails then you should decline on the "clear" 2. At Le's, they serve you complimentary wine. Did you hear that guys? Alcohol. Yes, I can feel the tides turning. You can almost close your eyes, which happens easily at this place, and slip into a dream-like state... all while your feet soak in the warm water with the jets streams lightly messaging them. 3. At Le's, a pedicure could be also referred to as a foot massage. Yes, a pedi will involve them cutting your toe nails, as wells as cuticle maintenance. But they also rub creams and other stuff that does not matter at this point of the process because one is in a "pedi-eupohoria". They also have hot stones in which they message your calves and feet with... it is amazing. So, gentlemen I have clearly presented the facts and hopefully things that were once unknown or intimidating of a pedicure. Because right now I am the only red-blooded male in the joint every time I go and I need to see some of my comrades to represent with me. I have been on a quest to find a great nail salon in Memphis, and unfortunately Le's didn't make the cut. My friend was in town and we decided to try Le's, I had made a reservation since I knew we would be going on a Saturday morning. Even with the reservation we waited for 25 minutes. We wanted to catch up and talk, so it wasn't that bad to wait, I'm just glad we didn't have immediate plans afterward. Neither of us got the full mani, just the file and shellac application. The tech who filed my nails seemed new, she kept having to ask the other tech if my nails looked ok, so I was already worried. She ended up filing some of my nails way too short, and some of them were very uneven, diagonal. My shellac had several bubbles in it. I have been getting shellac mani's for years now, and have never had this issue before. When I pointed it out, the tech said that the bubbles would "fall", well that happened and I was left with holes in my paint. My friend called my 2 days later and said her shellac was already chipping. This place just isn't something I want to try again. I am sure that there are other great techs at Le's, but it's not worth the money to keep going and hoping I get a good one. read more

Atmosphere was nice and there wasn't a ton of foreign language conversing that always make me worry the manicurists are hardcore judging me. I was very impressed with this nail salon. It's in a great location near the East Memphis Target (same shopping center). I decided to head here with a friend when our regular nail salon was packed on a Sunday afternoon. We walked right in Le's Nails and were seated right away. The great thing is everything is brand new in this place. I splurged for manicure and a pedicure and I felt completely pampered. Reasons why we loved this place: 1. The foot treatment: They gave my friend and I both a wonderful foot massage and for the finale, they pulled out these hot rocks for a hot rock foot massage. At first I thought that they were trying to up-sell us but they told us this is part of the standard pedicure. Apparently the difference between the standard and deluxe is that deluxe include a paraffin wax treatment. 2. The customer service: We received undivided attention and the staff was pleasant 3. The price: even with all the extras of the hot rocks and undivided attention the price wasn't over the top. I paid $54 for the manicure, pedicure and tip. I would definitely recommend this place. This is my favorite nail salon in Memphis. I don't get manicures or pedicures on a regular basis but when I do there's no place else I'd consider. First off, walking in you'll notice it is super clean, spotless. Like most nail places you sign in and pick your color - there are tons of choices in regular polish, gel and even the color changing polish. I'm big on the Essie brand for pedicure and they always have tons. There are a lot of pedicure chairs so even if you have to wait for a tech you can relax in a warm foot bath and utilize the chair massager. If you are getting a manicure as well they will usually have another tech starting this while you are in the pedicure chair. The pedicure itself is very detailed and relaxing - a pretty good leg massage with lotion and then they finish it off with a hot towel wrap and hot stones. I prefer a gel manicure and it has always been immaculate, perfect for when traveling for work or to see sorority sisters. I've never once felt pressured to get something crazy, which just isn't me so I appreciate this. With the free beverages, massaging chairs and leg / foot massage this is my one hour relaxation destination - the painted nails are really just a bonus. read more

She replied, "Yeah, it's supposed to be that way," and my friend in the chair next to me said, "Well, it looks like it's hurting her, so maybe it's too hot." And then HER tech jumped up, grabbed the bag off my foot, and said something to MY nail tech in a language I don't speak, then apologized to me and said that my tech forgot to cool the wax a bit first by squeezing the bag in her hands for a minute before putting it onto my foot. She did that with the second bag, and it was much more tolerable. I would go back if I were in the area, because this nail spa has so much going for it -- but I'd pass on the wax unless I were with one of the more experienced nail techs. read more

This is a great little salon! As far as nail salons go, it's nothing particularly special. But, it's a very clean place, the nail polish colors and brands are endless. The service was quick, and I was very happy with my mani/pedi. It's kid friendly, they even have special pricing for kids! For me to get a manicure, deluxe pedicure (comes with paraffin wax treatment), and my daughter to get a mani/pedi, it was $90. If you pay with cash they give you a discount. This has always been my favorite place to get my nails done. Recently I came in (day before Thanksgiving) and was greeted by a unfamiliar tech. She had just started working there I believe in July. I decided on black shellac. I ended up leaving with bubbling in my polish. (Picture posted) I pointed this out to the tech & she kept painting over it in an attempt to fix the problem. (5-6 coats of polish later) Unfortunately it didn't. I left very disappointed!!! Now my polish is beginning to crack at the tips. This place is very nice!! Unfortunately, I did not get the name of my nail technician BUT she was great. Both my sister and I had friendly technicians. Our mani/pedis turned out exactly how we liked! The atmosphere is very relaxing as well. They, of course, have massage chairs. The music is slow and soft instrumentals. On the tv is a serene screen of a forest and a waterfall . Only ok and will do in a pinch. My nail tech was a really sweet girl. She offered me something to drink as I sat down and she went to work. I was getting a gel mani of a light-ish pink. She did the first couple coats of the base and noticed the light wasnt drying well enough and causing bubbles, so she scraped the first coats off and started over. Applied the base coats again after changing lights and the first coat of polish and then noticed it was still looking pretty crappy... I totally agreed. It was bumpy and just didn't look good. At this point she needed to do the full removal to get all of it off and start over yet again!! After she finally got done with our third attempt, the edges looked sloppy which requires some buffering with the drill. I pointed out where my thumb nail had lines in it so she buffed it ALL off one more time and started over!!? Ugh. We all know how hard this is on our nails and it's bad enough to get them back into good condition after you've had gel.... I literally had it done three times in a single sitting!! I'm not mad at the tech. She was the one who noticed it looked crappy the first time around and redid it on her own without me saying a word. I DO think the polish and gel was bad... If quality polish isn't used or if they put acetone in the bottles to make it last longer, it will effect the results. I finally left 1 hour and 24 minutes after walking in, which is waaaay longer then it should take. But again I essentially had three manicures all in one day. read more

I decided to try out this salon while my normal nail salon is under renovation, glad I did. The staff was very friendly and you can tell that they truly take care of their regular customers. The prices were a little higher than the average nail salon, but I have to remember the area in which they operate. I received a pedicare and a full pink&white set on my nails. The ladies were very detailed in their work, taking their time and doing things right! I was very satisfied with the results.
