In town for work and I'm a nail snob. Found Relax here on Yelp! and saw the good reviews and came down for a gel mani and spa pedi. Both times the pedicure was by far one of the best I have ever received in my life. Legit. They're THAT good. The spa chairs are like the Rolls Royce of massage chairs and the glass of moscato was a nice perk, as well. The salon is eat-off-the-floor clean and the technicians all take their time and do excellent work. The "worst" part is their extensive pedicure menu but only because it's hard to decide which one actually sounds best. They all sound amazing. Great salon - if you're in Memphis, this is the spot. read more

I cannot speak on all of the nail techs, but the one that I had was very rude. I expressed to her how my big toe was cut way too short and seriously jagged. She argued over and over with me. I am from out of town and relied on reviews to find a nail salon, so I hope this helps someone else looking for a place. read more

I was a regular customer, but no longer! I recommend you find a nail shop that respects you with honest dealings. I went in for a basic pedicure and was satisfied with the service rendered. I gave the young lady a tip and went to pay my bill as usual. That is, however, where my satisfaction ended. When I showed them a text ad that they sent me, offering $5 off for seniors 65+ they refused to honor it!! All of a sudden, no one can talk to me in fluent English. All of a sudden, they claim 65+ means services that cost $65 or more. The problem is, I recognize dishonesty a mile away and can read English very well thank you. In any language "seniors 65+" does not mean the same as "services costing $65 or more" . The disrespect is glaring and they'll never get my family's business again. Get your nails done else where! read more

I have gone here for years, but now the quality of the service has really gone downhill. Also, both owners are extremely rude. They will yell at their employees in front of customers. I would not recommend this nail shop. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

The absolute worst nail job I've ever had. Nails started popping off day 3 and continued to pop off throughout the week. I came into the salon with the nails when I had free time away from work and responsibilities and the manager told me she couldn't glue them back on or do anything about it. I spent 100$ and the worker took TWO AND A HALF HOURS to do this horrible job. This is dip powder and the nails should not be popping off day 3!!!! It was cinematic because when I walked out of the salon another nail popped off on the door on the way out- hilarious but not really because I'm out 100$ and I was scammed into thinking I was getting a service when in reality I was getting a whole lotta B.S. from this place. read more

Relax Nail Spa - My nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Memphis, Tennessee

What can I say Beyond this is the Most elegant professional polished clean nail salon in Memphis, Tennessee. The WHOLE VIBE screams Upscale and Classy. The management team and the nail technicians are kind, hospitable, and knowledgeable when it comes to the service of their clients. My nail technician was Cindy, who is one of THE BEST technicians there. She is such a kind, beautiful young lady who never failed giving me a classy and polished look. Although, I have moved to Texas, I will never forget these amazing people especially my nail tech Cindy. I recommend this shop to everyone looking for an upscale nail salon and a positive and relaxing experience. Oh when you go try their margaritas and daiquiris they are to die for. read more

I wish there was a 4.5 stars. The atmosphere is very quiet, but welcoming. No one is talking or else the whole place will hear you. Staff was friendly and helpful. The nails weren't the best I've had, but done well enough. I wish they would have offered me a beverage upon sitting down (they have such a nice bar area, it feels weird to ask for a water/soda/wine). Cost was a bit pricey. Next time I will do without the "manicure" portion that just included a quick cuticle trim and basic massage ($15). I'll go back again definitely, I just wish the hospitality is a bit higher. read more

I have gone here for years and have been a loyal customer. I have always purchased gift cards over the phone with the previous owner -- one I had bought for $30 for my mother and she had yet to use it. We went in today to use it and the owner said nothing transferred over from old management (he explained they changed owners in June) so the gift card does not exist. He, by being "nice" gave us 10% off, which is the standard discount I received every time just for being a college student. Instead of honoring the $30 gift card for us they lost two loyal customers. read more

Emily is very unprofessional, rude, and needs to work on her attitude when it comes to dealing with customers and her co-workers. Yelling at a customer and causing a scene is NOT acceptable due to her lack of knowledge. She was allowed by Management to continue to work on other customers when she should have been told to leave for the day. It was unacceptable to treat a long time customer this way with out her having any consequences. read more

I have been a loyal customer since I moved here with regular appointments every 3 weeks. I have been charged a different amount every time I went. The 10% that was offered was never honored when I mentioned it when I checked in and when it was put on the slip. I got white polish and it turned yellow when I mentioned it they said they don't recommend white? Why didn't someone tell me that or put the non yellowing top coat on? The last time I went, I made an appointment and waited a half hour. Every appointment has caused me stress I will never go back. read more

Do not buy a gift card from this business. They will take the money and then when the recipient goes to use it, the shop will claim it's not valid. I guess they are making a lot of money off scamming people on fake gift card sales! I have gone here for years, but not anymore. read more

I have went here for years and they have obviously changed management I see when me and my husband went today. It was horrible quality of work. My husband still had dead skin on his feet and dirt under his nails. I had dead skin left noticeably and my toes didn't look good. My husband stepped down into a puddle dead skin on the ground because she didn't clean it up or direct him away from it. It looked like we hadn't gotten our nails done. Just a waist of time and we will not be back. They use to be so good but not anymore. It wasn't packed in there either like it usually is. read more

Terrible!! Awful costumer service. I was not allowed to use a gift card from what they said was "the previous owner" even though the name of the salon outside, address, and telephone number are the same. Do NOT recommend!!! read more

Really nice experience. Relaxing means every bit of the word relax for a pedicure. She took her time and was not rushing through the job. ParEvery client has their own nail tech. So it's NO waiting. The workers are coming from everywhere. Like busy little bees. The chairs are super comfy and knead deeply into the back. My tech gave the most wonderful leg, calf and foot massage and was amazing. She took her time to R-E-L-A-X me. I had all the perks with just getting the Classic Pedicure. I'm sure the up graded packages are even more amazing. Wow! We will return! read more

Nancy was sweet. Didn't talk much. Left the spa feeling good about dip with tip manicure and normal pedi. Looked closer at nails from side after leaving and there is a visible bump in the polish at the nail beds and thins out later. Looks weird from the side. Never felt such extreme thickness differences in the decade I've been getting dip. Obviously negligence on technician end because apparent on 8/10 nails... Toes are fine. Want my money back. Nails were done for interview and lasted less than a day. Need to go back but can't before leaving town. So thanks for the janky over priced nails... want a refund. I will be removing the entire set today because it looks gaudy, is breaking, is uneven in thickness, and was worse than any other manicure I've ever left the shop with. Thanks. Expect to hear back about the refund. read more

I had an amazing experience at Relax Nail Spa. I walked in on the Friday before Valentines Day and I was seated immediately and offered a glass of wine. The gel mani-pedi was great and my technician Chaing-Lee (I think that's her name) was absolutely awesome. She was very sweet and we had a great conversation while she worked on my nails. That was my first time going there but it definitely won't be my last. read more

My friend and I went together yesterday and ordered a dip + manicure service for $55 from the ipad menu. Verbally, one of the techs asked if we wanted the "relax" manicure" to which we agreed, not knowing what was different or better about it. We both received dip, a manicure, and a 5 minute massage. I received a paraffin wax treatment, but my friend didn't. When we went up to pay, we were charged $40 for the dip alone, and then $50 for the "relax manicure" which they considered a separate treatment. There was no amount of discussion that changed our price, even though we were able to show on our ticket that we'd only signed up for the $55 service. Changing our amount to $90 without telling us what we were agreeing to seemed shady. I will not be returning. read more

I'm a big ol dude with ugly toes and toenails in my own opinion. My wife talked me into going. I did not want to go. I sat in a big massage chair. Rose assured me everything would be just fine. I got the CBD rub and pedicure. May wife said relax! The lady sitting next to me on the other side said "you'll love it" I got my husband to come. He liked it. Rose did a fantastic job! Turned my ugly toes into beauties! Great rubdown on the feet and calves with the CBD rub. Loved the hot stone massage on the feet. The massage chair was a plus. But wait! There's more! My wife said you might as well get a manicure too! What the heck? NO! Rose said no problem. I'll take care of your hands too! Awesome hand and arm rundown by Rose and my nails looked the best. OK guys! I'm hooked! I'm looking forward to my next visit with Rose! read more

I have been a loyal client to a salon in Bartlett for yrs!I needed a pedicure for a trip and my girl was out of town!I thought this was a good opportunity to check your salon out being that I live in Midtown!I ended up getting an ooh lala with Andy!He was extremely nice , professional at the same time!Salon was clean and very inviting! However it was one of the worse pedicures!! asked him to really work on my nasty callous as I had not had a pedicure all winter! It was really rushed and still had rough feet when I left and all the moisturizer had dried!Your salon is a little more expensive than some others, but I honestly had no problem with that! However when u pay for a service you expect to get one!I am SO disappointed and will continue to drive all the way to Bartlett from now on... read more

Horrible customer service. I walked in and was not greeted. I was scheduled to get a mani and pedi but only got the pedi. First time I came here, great service. They did a nice job on my nails, and it was pretty standard. They offered me a glass of champagne which is always nice, just to feel like you're getting a nice little pampering date with yourself. The second time I came, I asked if they had drinks and they said no. I thought it was interesting because at nail salons at this price point (gloss, envy, nail bar) you'll get the beverage along with your service and because they offered it the first time I visited. It's definitely not the most important part of the service, but it's a nice bonus and I feel like customers would have a more luxurious experience if they offered it. read more
