    Kimbap and fried chicken combo
    Christine S.

Favorite korean fried chicken spot - my favorite flavors are the honey butter and garlic wings. The chicken is pretty consistent and fresh (recommend dining in person instead of getting takeout, so it doesn't get soggy) and the combos are a decent deal. We got the seafood kalguksu (a bit pricey at $18) and the kimbap and 4 piece chicken combo, which was surprisingly filling

Went here for dinner the other night. Was ok. Pros: clean restaurant, fried chicken... always a good thing. Cons: service wasn't consistent. Friendly, yes, but also forgetful... ordered items were forgotten, even after multiple reminders. And, maybe they do this to everyone, but, I was reminded to actually sign the credit card slip, which I thought was weird. I've never been reminded of that before, and yes, it did rub me the wrong way.... Maybe they've had issues, so it's part of their routine, but I was taken aback by the remark.

VONS CHICKEN YOU SAVED ME!! I came out of an extremely disappointing Yelp event and was desperately hungry for some good food -- ordered crispy chicken for pick up $16.99 for 3 drums and 4 wings. The order was pretty much ready in the 10 minutes it took for me to drive over and I devoured that box within minutes sitting in my car. I'm pretty sure I dripped some sauce all over and burned my tongue but man oh man, I had never been so happy to taste some damn delicious fried chicken. What I love about Vons is that crispy chicken skin!!! Oh my god... I'm sad a small box can get eaten up so quickly! The crispy flavor is perfectly savory and I love that you can customize the spice level, although I can eat one more spicy level up!! Service was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is fairly spacious with nobody dining in on a Wednesday after work. This fried chicken definitely needs to be enjoyed immediately. Drive yourself over and dive into some crunchy tastiness!!

Fantastic kimbap & tasty boneless garlic, radish, coleslaw combo with fruity mango cart beer. Drink responsibly. You can catch up on a sports watch game that's on...a variety of amazing menu off Grant Road, very close to my very 1st apt way back. How times have certainly changed. Thanks Sena, Labelle, & chefs for a quick service. Great & clean place!

At Vons Chicken, we always go for the honey butter fried chicken. This time, we tried the garlic chicken, expecting it to be like garlic soy, but it pleasantly surprised us with a sweet garlic puree. The wings were hot and crunchy. We also ordered the chicken cheese tteokbokki, which was decent but nothing to rave about. It was a really hot day, and they didn't have the AC on, which affected our comfort. There's plenty of seating and TVs to watch the game (and cartoons like Tom and Jerry!) Lots of parking since it's in a plaza. The server was nice, checked in a couple of times, and was a good conversationalist. From a price perspective it is a bit expensive (8 wings for 17+) but you definitely feel the quality and get a lot of meat. I do think maybe a large will be a better bang for your buck, but we opted for two smalls to diversify our flavor selection.

This Vons has plenty of tables and space I love the decor inside very clean and modern. Large screen TVs that play Korean shows. Tables can accommodate large groups too. I also see they have drinks on tap. Would definitely come back to this place and try their sides. The best is the friendly staff who greet you the minute you walk in the door.

Came here while passing by after grabbing Starbucks and food from the Japanese market. This is the biggest and nicest interior or a Von's chicken i've been to. Quickly greeted and the person helped us order tho there r self order kiosks as well. We tried the oven roasted this time and it was pretty good! Lots of flavor and comes with cold slaw and radishes.

What a great place for chicken! Whenever my friends want chicken I usually recommend this place because it is so delicious! I love the crisp, the texture, and overall bite of their chicken! Even if you leave it out for couple hours, the skin is still crispy. Their popular choice of honey butter is the reason why I keep coming back! Their garlic and cheeses are also popular choice but that honey butter! Honestly even their original and their oven baked chicken are also delicious so you cannot go wrong in ordering whatever! Even their kimbap is good. Need to come here and try it out!

Came here on a Monday afternoon and the place was empty so service was super quick. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and they have the most comfortable chairs. We ordered garlic chicken and cheese chicken, sweet potato fries, Mandu, and fried cheese balls. Everything tasted really good and we had plenty of leftovers to take home for dinner. We'll probably order less next time and try different things, but we will be back for sure.

Solid 4.5 for eat in! Good and fast service. Crispy chicken is the star. The kimbap is pretty good. I wished they have options for kimbap. Ramen is a skip. Every time I'm here it is empty. Mostly take out or delivery. I can't imagine crispy chicken stays that crispy after a car ride.

1/3/23 Vons Chicken Mountain View 137 E El Camino Real Mountain View, CA 94040 This is a new place in the Mountain View Shopping Center next to the Smart & Final. I was looking for a hot dog and saw that they featured a Korean Hot Dog, which I never had. The layout is long, narrow and spacious for indoor dining with clean and modern furnishings. I ordered my Dog at the counter along with the small Crispy Yangnyum Chicken drumsticks to go. My food was brought to my table by the friendly and helpful Aileen. I was expecting a corn dog but was surprised with what I got; mostly deep fried cheese with a small chicken filled sausage (like a small Vienna sausage) on a stick. I filled up on my lactase pills and ate the gooey things. The tiny sausages were tasteless mystery meat but if you like cheese you might like it. Mountain View remains a hot dog wasteland. The spicy crispy chicken was very good and came with a tub of pickled daikon. It was sweet, crispy and mouth burning hot; which was okay for me. The pickles help with killing the residual heat. I paid at the register when I left. I'll never get a Korean Dog again, from anywhere. The crispy Yangnyum chicken is repeatable and there are more fried and roasted items on their menu to try. Interestingly they don't offer thighs.

After getting seated, we were promptly greeted and offered either complementary hot tea or water. If you're not familiar with the menu here, each person is required to order their own entree, most of which start around $28. My wife ordered a mild tofu soup with mixed proteins while I ordered an abalone bibimbap. In addition to our entrees, we also split a seafood pancake. I'm not the biggest fan of seafood pancake, but the one here is distinctly different than any that I've ever tried before. The texture of the pancake actually tastes very similar to shrimp toast. There's no shortage of seafood in every bite and the pancake is perfectly crispy without tasting oily. The pancake here is on the smaller side, but one pancake is more than enough for a group of 2-3 to share. The abalone in my bibimbap entree is skillfully prepared. There was no rubbery texture at all and the four abalone pieces were all very plump. The stone bowl the bibimbap arrived in wasn't blistering hot, but the bowl still managed to crisp up a bunch of rice on the bottom of the bowl. I appreciate that the spicy sauce is provided on the side so you can control how spiciness and salty the dish is. I absolutely love that each entree comes with an assortment of 10 different types of banchans. My favorites were the imitation crab slaw, the quail eggs, the shrimp cake, and the pumpkin puree with apple chunks. There's a staff member carting around refills of every single banchan, so don't hold back on enjoying your favorite banchan items because they come with unlimited refills. While the food here was fantastic all around, the highlight was truly the service. The warm hospitality of each staff member we interacted with was memorable and greatly appreciated. Special shout-out to Jinny as well, who helped us quickly resolve a small issue where we received white rice instead of purple rice with our tofu soup. If you're looking for next level Korean food with spectacular service, look no further than Kunjip Tofu. I cannot recommend this spot enough.

I got the veggie dumpling tofu soup at medium spice and it was amazingly flavorful. The soups come out PIPING HOT, the bowls were still sizzling when we got them, and I definitely burned my tongue and the roof of my mouth even after blowing on my spoon for what I thought was a long time. The veggie dumplings inside the soup were also really good, I actually thought for a second when I first took a bite they had accidentally given me meat ones, but I'm pretty sure it was just tofu with a surprisingly meatlike texture. The menu is very vegetarian/vegan friendly, the vegetarian dishes are clearly labelled, and I believe all the vegetarian tofu soups are vegan as long as you don't add egg. Most of the banchan is vegan, except for the kimchi and fish tofu. The banchan I did get to try (cucumber, bean sprout, japchae, potato) were all really good with very distinctive flavors. Meal also comes with purple rice which I enjoyed. The menu is also very kid friendly, my little sister loved the fish tofu soup. The inside is very large and they also have outdoor seating as well. On the wall they have a menu signed by RM of BTS, who I guess came to eat here during the Stanford stop of the tour. In terms of service our main waiter seemed to be in a bit of a bad mood and was not super friendly, but he got the job done lol. However there was a different girl who brought us our banchan and she was really really nice. Overall I would highly recommend!

Had similar experience in Korea but there the waitress would give us space and only stop by for a minute to set things up or to flip the meat. The banchan was great. One good thing with the waiter being there all the time is that getting refill of the banchan was easy. The meat quality was top notch. I would skip the samgyeopsal and try the pork jowl next time. Yes, pretty sure we will be back. The one disappointment was the mul-naengmyon. When in Seoul, one of our best meal was cold naengmyon with BBQ. The soup was so refreshing, it was just amazing.
