Valentine's Day can be really busy and I do appreciate the willingness of the waiter. They have the employees but I think the manager needs to stop passing free shots of soju and manage the restaurant a little better. I declined the soju btw, we don't drink Alcohol. Just want to say that the wait was 1.5 hours. We were initially 49th in line for a party of 2. I used yelp to save our place in line which really helped during Valentine's Day. The other Gen would have been double. The entrance doors are pretty hard to open. There is a lot of air holding the doors shut. Must be their large exhaust fan for all the BBQ being cooked by patrons. There is a comfortable waiting area and we witnessed one of the hostess catch someone trying to sneak into a table and go ahead of the line. She was very polite and professional about it. Once we were seated they gave us a table with enough room for my legs as I'm 6ft 4. Love to Strech my legs. We were asked to scan the QR code with our phones to see the menu and order we did. As you can see all the food we ordered. The food was really great. Loved everything. We ate everything we ordered. Cons: we had to ask 3 different waitstaff for vegetables. The waitstaff seemed confused at times and even though we were seated near the kitchen it was hard to get their attention. Suggestion: ask for more napkins when you order food. You're going to probably use your hands at some point so it would be good to wash your hands before you eat. One thing that's very important and shows how organized and clean a restaurant is, is the restroom. The men's restroom had water on the floor when you walk in. It was slippery. The whole restroom near the urinal and toilets was water on the floor. However I did see one of the prep cooks wash his hands with soap and water. A definite plus. Food quality. The sauce for the fried fish was warm. It should not be discolored and warm. I hope we will be fine tomorrow. Anywho, those are my 2 cents. Manager has a lot to work on. Nice ambience. Music was a little too loud though.

The service was excellent, Andrew and Luis are the best , very attentive and friendly and helpful . The ribs #10 , pineapple beef #8 and beef belly # 5 are well marinated and delicious. Highly recommended Mountain view location. Tip : you can buy Gen gift card from costco ( $70 for $100 worth gift card )

We tried the Gen Korean BBQ restaurant. The menu had so many great items. I liked all the meats like pork belly, beef, pork, bulgogi, ribs. Our waitress was so nice and helpful. She checked on us and brought our orders. The food was delicious. We had a great experience.

better quality meats, and sides than other places in the city. I really like the fans that stop the smoke from becoming too much. Can see why this place was packed. For a better experience, I would try to go during a less busy time. Was a little loud and couldn't really hear the music, but that's expected during a busy day. Also really loved the soju cocktails. Tip: mix the drink to spread the syrup

Service was good. Ambiance was nice. It was a Tuesday evening. Pretty quiet. However, my son and I added $20 each to get premium because I like wagyu and short ribs. It was very not worth it. The first wagyu, I told the waiter, this is too fatty, and very different from the picture. The second plate, they cut it bigger, and I peeled off the fatty. It did taste but too much work. Then I tried Angus brisket, it was very dry. The only thing I like was short ribs. $117 for two people.

2 empty long tables that could serve 12 people plus 3 effort booths that could seat another 12

Just got here and let me tell you.... pay attention to the tons of reviews about the wait time. There are plenty of empty tables that could easily accommodate people waiting.. in areas that there are other tables being attended too. Clearly... by the lack of response to the reviews given...Gen could care less. There are other places nearby that are similar in pricing and have much better service...If you value customer service... go to those.

    Brisket sauce

Just asking for more sauce.. AYCE however limited in how much brisket sauce they give. The sauce is one of the best things that enhance the meal. They gave the bare minimum in a saucer. There were 4 of us and was given this 1/4 cup but were advised they cannot give us anymore. Their logic didn't make sense and arguments fell apart when pressed. 1230p - Sunday - 1/4 capacity We paid for 4 adult AYCE meals and are just asking for extra brisket sauce.. was willing to pay extra but they refused. Per supervisor - Clay It's their right to say no additional sauce but as a customer I can say terrible customer service skills and just won't return . On your next visit here's a game: Ask for extra brisket sauce and see what they say to you!

It was personally my first time coming here, but we wanted to bring our cousin visiting town to this spot before she left home. The ambiance is cool and the service was pretty good too. Service was a bit slow during a few times we waited for our rice and sides. But nonetheless, loved the food especially the bulgogi. The potato salad was surprisingly small (didn't expect it to be that small lol) and the cheesy kimchi fried rice wasn't bad, but there was no cheese on top? Was thinking maybe they mixed it in the food, but was a pretty basic dish. Still a good time with my family and appreciate our server for helping us and being chill

I picked this restaurant because of its location, its spacious parking lot, and that they're not too crowded on weekends. We got a corner table inside a big room. It's a perfect place for us to catch up with each other without feeling rushed nor guilty. All four of us ordered the organic tofu soup. I had the mushroom one (medium spicy). It came piping hot with a raw egg. It was the perfect spicy level for me. (One of us ordered hot, and said that it was quite a bit more spicy than she expected.) I loved the assorted mushrooms inside my tofu soup. My friends all enjoyed their selections as well, and we loved the texture of the purple rice. The amount of ingredients inside the tofu soup was pretty generous. We also got refills for our banchans. There're 5 different kinds of banchans. They're on the sweeter side and not as flavorful as I would like, though. Overall, it's a delicious and satisfying lunch, and we all had a good time.

The all-you-can-eat is the move here. The meat quality is solid--the wagyu beef and spicy pork belly usually hit the spot on the grill. On the hot pot side, the pork bone broth is a safe bet, and the spicy broth actually has a decent kick to it. Also, they have those little fried buns with condensed milk that are dangerously good. They give ice cream at the end with a cone which is sweet dessert. The vibe is super lively and loud, definitely not a quiet dinner spot. They even have those robots rolling around bringing out plates, which is kind of funny to watch. Service is quick; you just order everything on your phone and it shows up fast. I understand that it might be intentional so it can be customizable from the big variety of sauces at the sauce bar. But I would say its very lacking. No salt, no depth. Almost like flavored water. - Portions are okay. It's AYCE so it makes sense that their portions are smaller. but it is much smaller than places ive been to. Please be mindful when you decide which meat to be on the grill as majority of them is to be for hotpot. so it will dissolve on the grill the moment you realize it. - Meat quality is fine for AYCE. However there are some thats a bit questioning. The spicy beef is just the thinniest slices that are marinaded in the chili oil. But after cooking the texture and even flavor is very very off. I highly recommend getting the Finger Cubes BBQ (i think), nice blend of fat and meat and def the most flavorful. - ORDERING SYSTEM is a nightmare. Since the portions are so small, you would have to order multiple rounds and there is a time block apparently so you dont over order. But the system is so slow and not intuitive at all. At first i thought they are just opened and would give it some time to improve. But now i dont see myself coming back at all.
