The aesthetics aren't as modern and suave as some karaoke lounges in the city, but can you really complain if the space is pretty accommodating, decent prices, and most importantly, BYOB??!! $6 per person per hour. Free parking. We ordered pizza from the pizzaria next door, and they deliver it to your room for free. Such a fun and great place to go with a big group of friends. It is a private room with seating area and table. Very chill and fun room. Absolutely loved it. Only sucky thing of this place is their limited song selection... don't get me wrong it has a HUGE song collection, their book had over two hundred pages, but it is majority asian songs and it is hard to find american songs in there giant book. The songs are not updated either so you wont find songs that came out the past two-three years... but its all good. This place is bonkers. Everything is in Korean on the control pad. We don't speak or read Korean so it was a bit of a struggle and we never figured out the "scoring" portion of the thing. However, after a big group dinner with many drinks poured, how can you beat BYOB Karaoke?? You can't. The play list has everything as long as you can navigate it well enough in your inebrieated state to get the remote to work. Its in a tiny strip mall, with a tiled floor. It is not fancy. Had a blast this past Saturday night celebrating my friend's birthday. Nice big comfortable room with seating for about 20/25 ppl and a huge table in the middle. One big screen and 2 smaller screens on the side so everyone was able to see. Loved that it was byob and you can also bring in your own food. A few cons was the dirty bathroom, wish they had someone on top of cleaning it and keeping it tidy and the music selection, wish it was broader and listed by artist. I would def go back! read more

I always thought that the city was the place to be for a good karaoke place. That was true until I went to Volume Up! So close to where I live and the customer service is great! They were polite and tended to your needs. The place was ok. It has room for improvement but I don't expect a luxury, ultra modern place for karaoke. We go here all the time, and have had a couple of parties here. The staff is very nice, the rooms are clean, they have never given us any trouble about bringing food and drinks. The only trouble is the selection of songs, it's really slim pickings if you don't want to only sing pop songs, and it hasn't been updated in probably four years. This is not bad at all, I like the prices. Bring your own food and liquor. I had a good time here. The room size was ok for a group of 10, not that big and not too small. I do have a little problem with the karaoke machine though, it took too long in between songs and also the comercials was eating up our time limit. Overall everything was good. read more

This place had a decent location and plenty of rooms to get your singing on. That's the good news. The bad news was the room we were given had a foul odor reminiscent of old, stale, kitty litter. Super fun time here. They have private rooms and they charge you for an hourly not by how many people you have with you. Also it's byob, they also sell some snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic). Great way to do something different. They did have a book with Spanish songs even thought it's not a large selection they did have some good options. The staff let's you be and have fun. read more

My first time ever doing karaoke and let me just say it was amazing. This place is sooo much fun and a great price for what it offers. My friends and I decided to give this a try for my birthday and we are so glad we did. They decorated our room and created our own little bar area. The place is byob, which is great, and as an added plus you can also bring whatever you want to eat as well. We had fun for hours (about 4) and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The best part is that it was so affordable, we each literally paid about $20 (if even). They sell bottles of water, juice and soda and even little snacks but no actual food so make sure you eat prior, though there are a bunch of restaurants available. Amazing! This place was so much fun! If you love karaoke you will love this place we got the large room and more than comfortably fit about 17 people and every single one had a great time. This place is nothing fancy, but is our go-to karaoke place in the area. BYOB, big rooms, and great cheap pricing. Song selection is decent with all the classics, and they do a decent job at adding newer songs. You'll have to search through the songbooks though - no fancy song selection iPads here. I'd much rather come here then pay $$$ for a similar place in the city. read more

I have never heard of this place before until yesterday when I came with some friends. the place was pretty cool and it was pretty fair price wise. I think it came to about $65 for about two hrs for 6 people. not bad. it is bring your own everything. for that cheaper price I could see that. one thing I didn't care for was how it was mostly in Korean. It took us a little while to figure out how to use the screen and all but we got the hang of it. the music videos were all Korean too. read more

When I got there I was told that a reservation was need, that it was graduation time (in February) and that all rooms were full. When I look around there was 2 rooms open. Then I was told they were reserved. When we ask when at what time they were reserved for, the guy responded in 40mins. We asked if we could use the room for the 40mins, he was very adamant and only allowed us to use the room exactly for "40 mins" for $40 dollars. Usually $40 dollar is for one hour. It felt like he did not want my family or I there. He was making ever excuse for us to leave. When we asked when will the next room be available they guy said midnight faster than you can blink, when we arrived at 8pm. Definitely will not go there again, and will find somewhere where my family and I will feel welcomed as a customer! read more

I give this place one star. I was there once before my last visit and was pleased but not this time. We were having a lot of fun but the room we were in isnt the one we wanted and was small. The remote barely worked and didnt have a lot of the songs we looked for. It was ALL on in a different language so was very hard to navigate. That is besides the point. As our time can to and end we decided to pay for one more hour. After we payed, all the sudden a MOUSE came running out. We gathered our stuff and told the worker who didnt seem to care at all. We asked for our money and he said no , that he can give us a smaller room! In utter disbelief of what just happened we went into the next room where the remote was worse than the other one and there was ANOTHER MOUSE. our time came to an end and we left. Rooms are clean and spacious. The song selection leans to Asian and American songs. There is a small section of Spanish music. The bigger the group, the better the prices, and in my opinion the better the overall experience. I would rate 5 stars if they update their song selection. There is a lot of 90s music there, which is great (yay for 90s babies). The latest songs I saw there were from 2010, which isn't bad, but there's is always room to download more songs. read more

you're pretty much just paying for the venue, considering they only charge $5/hr/person if it's a group of 10+. i had made a reservation with them 2 and a half weeks prior to the reserved date, and when the date arrived, they said it wasn't reserved. one of the employees rushed over to open up the venue because it was before the actual hours of operation. all in all, the place was pretty cool and there were 3 microphones so a lot more people could sing. also another plus was that it's great for all ages. downside is that the song selections were very old. it wasn't as updated being that i always go into manhattan and the place has everything computerized and categorized in a very simpler way. also the songs have 2 categorized booklets; 1 under artists and 1 under song titles read more
