Grilled cheese and Sweet Potato Tater Tots
Steven I.

Best bar deals in NYC! My group was here on Monday for my birthday and the drinks were half off all night. The bar was very spacious with plenty of room for my friends and I to watch the MLB Home Run Derby. The bartender Wade was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The sweet potato tots were really good! I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

This place has a heartbeat like no other! I love this place it's my home. They play the best 2016 club bangers. Im talking Drake and Nicki best era of rap and vibes bro. The bouncers are lovely and the drinks are a bit expensive but it's cool, just come drunk from dead poets down the street. I really like their T-shirts that they wear "all disco no dilemma" I want one but they don't sell them sadly. Service is good and Im not talking table I'm talking the service that the dj does

Came here for a happy hour work outing around 3pm on a Monday and it was pretty empty which makes sense but I felt that I enjoyed it because it wasn't as crowded or loud. I enjoyed the drinks here and the servers were very kind and they smile a lot too. We got the appetizer sample platter, Mac and cheese bites and chicken tenders. My favorite had to be the mac and cheese bites. I definitely could've eaten more of these and if I come back, I would choose to order more of these alongside one of their drinks.

Stopped in here the other night on the way home. My husband and I were able to grab seats at the bar and a $3 bud light seltzer and a $5 tap beer It's your basic neighborhood bar on Amsterdam nothing fancy and always has ll a crowd drinking and plying pool and foosball Service was great, the bartender and manager were super friendly and very funny. Wasn't my first time here and won't be my last!

I came here for a private event so I didn't get to try the spot's food offerings as our party had outside food but I did get a bunch of drinks at the bar in the private area. The bartender was efficient and friendly despite having to man an open bar alone with at least 20 people in attendance. The private area was very cozy, clean and had its own bathroom which was super convenient.

We were looking for something close to The Beacon Theater and we stumbled upon this great awesome gem. Jake's Dilemma was slow when we got there but I will say within 20 minutes it picked up and we placed our order and all came out great. We got a cheeseburger and tots, fried chicken sandwich with fries and both orders were prefect. Friendly service, great food and atmosphere. I totally would go again and highly recommend. Thanks Jake's for a really good pre show dinner !

We always love this neighborhood spot. Glad to have it a block away from its sister spot, the Gin Mill. This a pretty standard bar with lots on tap. The food is tasty (and made at Gin Mill and then brought down the block). We like going here because of their happy hour ($5 pints). Never been at night when it's busier with a crowd on Fri/Sat but when we need it, it's always a good option.

I was in the area early for a comedy show at the beacon theatre. I had a couple of hours and stopped by at Jake's Dilemma as it was walkable to the theatre and had a great happy hour menu. We sat there to have a couple of shots and share a pitcher of beer. The service was fast, clean and ambient. This looks like a great sports bar to sit down and watch a game.

Honestly the 4 stars is for their daily specials (Wednesday is a GREAT DAY). Food is typical bar food (7/10).

I wish the draft menu was a little more diverse, but they had enough options to satisfy the entire group. All the food I tried was delicious, and some of the things I didn't try got excellent reviews. You can't go wrong with Buffalo Wings or Tater Tots. The Fried Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and the Pulled Pork, were also hits with the group. Quantity: No issue with beer pours and food comes in shareable portions. Value: $7-$11 for Draft Beers. $30 for 20 Buffalo Wings. $9 for Tater Tots. Ambiance: Lion's Head Tavern is located in the Morningside area of Manhattan. Inside it is a pretty typical packed pub, with the walls covered with memorabilia and televisions. The table setup is definitely made to maximize the space and get in as many guests inside as possible. Outside they had multiple sheltered areas, one of which we sat in. The area surrounding the pub had a lot of characters, so expect to see some interesting activity. Crowd: Packed inside and out, I was surprised about how hard many of the customers were going early on Friday. Service: A little slow on a busy Friday evening. Parking: Tough parking on a busy street.

Our group of twelve showed up without a reservation, yet the staff was incredibly accommodating and quickly arranged outdoor seating for all of us. We ordered margaritas, red and white wine, spritzers, and frosé. Every drink was excellent, and Happy Hour made it even better. We only ordered fries since we were mainly there for drinks, but the service truly made the visit stand out. The young women who took care of our table were patient, friendly, and very attentive. Even with a large group, we never felt rushed and were able to enjoy our time comfortably. It was a relaxed and enjoyable visit, and we would definitely return.

The servers were great and checked in regularly to make sure we were good. We also appreciated what I think was the manager watching our drinks because at $6 a martini we had to have one more, yes, they were that good. We stood for maybe 2.5 hrs and left so happy with a full belly and new memories created. Definitely a cute little spot for a solo quick bite, a nice little date night that's more on the casual side, or coming with a group of friends. While we came here for lunch during the week they did have other great food options available and weekend specials if that's something of interest. The ambiance is sexy and grown and still has a sports bar vibe. It's warm and inviting as well as cozy with the lighting. They have a fully stocked bar with 2 bars front and back. As mentioned earlier, they have daily and weekend specials for both food and drink. This place is definitely a must try and I will be coming back.

This is a great grab and go/delivery alternative to Wonder, at much higher quality. The first time I ordered just aioli garlic fries to try the place out. they were hot, tasty, and a generous portion- just what I was craving coming home late. I then tried their special cheesesteak w brocolli and provolone which was also good and ordered chicken tenders for a friend. I tried my friend's chicken tenders and they were great so ordered those for my 3rd visit. They usually come 4 large tenders to an order with a sauce of your choice. A testament to their taste- I ate 2 and saved 2 for the next day and a family member visiting got to them before I did, and then asked where they were from to order more! I appreciate being able to have a selection of sauces to choose from and the portion size for the sauce is a larger cup than most places. The first time I ordered the tenders for my friend they had been sliced into- but that has not happened since and those tenders were especially large. It was their initial opening period and my guess is they did that to ensure the chicken was thoroughly cooked. The tenders were still hot and not dry. For ordering: you can either order online or in store at one of the two large digital tablets - luddites fear not- each time I have visited, I was warmly greeted by a staff member I now know to be named Justine who offered assistance and to let her know abt any questions regarding the menu or ordering. For customer service: there was a mistake with one of my first orders. I submitted a form on the website and was contacted that evening. It was handled promptly and professionally. I would probably give them 4 stars if not for the exceptional service and their first month open, what would really be lovely to see on the menu salads or a side vegetable as the other Olde City locations have. Hoping they're able to expand their menu as they establish their roots but wishing this business success!
