By far the best place to get sushi in west Texas. The owners and all the employees are all from New York and are super friendly. Amazingly, they're excited to be there. LOL Was visiting from Dallas and my mom wanted to try it since she usually only gets to eat sushi when she's in Dallas. Ate there two days in a row. The sushi was a fresh as it can be when being flown in from New York or California (I asked). Odessa needs more places like this, so I hope the town will support them. read more

I know, I know, sushi in west Texas? I entered the restaurant on a Tuesday evening and opted to sit at the sushi bar as I was alone. The sushi team behind the bar welcomed me and my waitress came over for the drink order. After reviewing the menu, I chose an assortment of items, including a couple of rolls that fellow Yelpers had suggested. The challenge I ran into was with communications with the waitress. I wanted to order a salad with ginger dressing and she couldn't understand what I wanted. After a bit of back and forth, she brought me out a salad but it wasn't what I had ordered. Finally, one of the sushi chefs stepped in and helped. After that, all was well. Overall, I would give this place 3 to 3.5 stars. The food was okay but the service and prices don't align with what you get. I would NOT return to this business. read more

First time, definitely won't be the last! Wasabi platters were beautifully presented, all items were as fresh as could be and delectable. Green tea ice cream was presented beautifully and tasted smooth but had a skin that we decided was to make it fried which we scraped off. Highly encourage you to try, we will again soon! read more

They can get a little expensive on the special rolls, but they're well worth it if you want to splurge a little. Normal rolls are very fairly priced, though. Wow, finally real sushi that far exceeded my expectations. Beautiful presentation and so flavorful. To the people that are saying this place has the best sushi they've ever had, I feel sorry for you, because this is definitely not even on my top 10. Not impressed. Had high expectations because EVERYONE told me this was the place to eat sushi in Odessa. I'm moving from San Antonio after 7 years, this place doesn't compare to ANYWHERE there. Now saying that, this place is in Odessa, TX. Guess the people telling me this place was great have never had sushi other reputable places. We are spoiled, having had sushi in a lot of big cities and Hawaii. Okay for Odessa, I guess. Too expensive though for the size of the rolls. I don't know how they pick their portion sizes, but 1 roll will include 6 pieces and just be calling cucumber and the next will have 8 and have several pricier ingredients in it. The service was seriously lacking. We almost had to cancel our order and leave. The kids fried rice was delicious, though. I'll probably come back and drink shiner on tap and eat fried rice. If you come, don't get your hopes up. It's just mediocre for everywhere and okay to good for Odessa (which isn't saying much). read more

We ordered take-out from this restaurant and it was delicious! I ordered the General Tso. The rice is a tad small as an entree so order another if that is an issue. Arrived at the restaurant 20 min before closing which is at 10 on a Friday night. Wanted a quick beer and sushi. The college kid at the front told me only take out available. In the restaurant there were at least 3 tables that were a loong way from being done. Its obvious the kids werent interested in working a minute past 10 cleaning up, so the kitchen is effectively closed 30 min before closing. I will definitely drive past next time and spend my money somewhere else read more
