The barista was also nice and spoke to us for a bit about what he was doing and his coffee interests. I came here with my dad the coffee lover and another time with my husband (who came for the food). I think they have a unique selection of pastries to try from and would recommend the banana sesame toast and Shio pan. I will have to try the focaccia the next time I go! Definitely come for the experience if you like pour overs!

However, the vanilla syrup and oat milk ratio didn't do it for me. The drink consisted more of coffee than oat milk... and to add to it, the vanilla syrup didn't taste good. I had to go back and request more oat milk and syrup to fix the drink. It felt as if I was insulting the barista, oops! The egg sandwich, on the other hand, was delightful although it was on the pricier side. The coffee shop was packed with folks working so we didn't find any seating indoors. Parking on the weekday was manageable but I can see it being a pain on the weekends. All in all, I want to give this spot a second chance but the coffee didn't do it for me.

Staff were prompt in making the drinks. 1. Matcha Yuzu (5/5) Matcha with yuzu puree over tonic water. This is the perfect refreshing drink on a hot day. You get the carbonated fizz from the tonic water, the rich, yet smooth earthy matcha flavor and the slight sweetness and citrus notes from the yuzu puree. 2. Ube Cloud Cold Brew (5/5) Dr Ink has made ube right. I like ube and taro flavor but a lot of times, they mKe it too sweet. Here at Dr Ink, their Ube is flavorful yet not too sweet. The cloud was foamy and creamy. The cold brew was smooth and bold, not acidic or flat. I devoured this drink in less than 2 minutes. The only thing I wish they would change is the amount of ice they add. The cup was 2/3rds ice, which made me feel like I did not get a good value for my drink. Flavor wise, they nailed it.

It's incredibly creamy, but what really makes this one stand out is the use of actual fresh banana. There's banana at both the bottom and top of the drink, and you get fresh banana purée as you sip. I've never had a banana matcha quite like this before, and it makes such a difference compared to drinks that rely mostly on banana-flavored syrup. There's also a subtle cinnamon/cookie flavor in the cream layer that pairs perfectly with the fresh banana and matcha. Everything works together without the banana overpowering the tea. My first sip was genuinely eye-opening. I immediately knew this was going to be my new go-to matcha. I've only tried it once and I'm still thinking about it. If they do their banana matcha this well, I'm very curious to come back and explore the rest of the menu!

Very inviting place to grab a drink and small sweet. Cream puff choux for 1 or a box of sponge cake to share (or not). Plenty of seating for catching up with a friend or even study/work for maybe an hour. *Pandan Green Milk Tea + Tea Jelly complimentary for the milk teas *Matcha Tiramisu Latte with lady finger cookie *Tropical Fruit Oolong Tea *Peach Orange Oolong Tea *Jasmine Milk Tea + Tea Jelly *Corn Sponge Cake I keep going back for the pandan milk tea. I like how they put the housemade cubed jelly on top, hence the word topping. I'm trying to be good and get no added sugar. The jelly is sweeter than the drink hehe. Strong tea and creamy sweetened milk. Their ice is cubed! Whole milk or oat milk option. I got the matcha tiramisu yesterday and they package the crispy lady finger cookie separately. I dunked that into the cream between bites. No sweet option was great since the cream was sweet enough. Less sweet for the fruit teas allows the fruit syrups to stand out. They add diced fruit for flavor and texture. I heard good things about the corn cake. Thick cream, spongey cake, corn sprinkled throughout. Best to share! They also have tiramisu and pork floss cake. I want to try the choux one of these days. It's BOGO after 7pm but I always go earlier in the day for a caffeine fix. Employees are nice and greet you right after entering. Order at the counter and they'll give you a pager that'll buzz as soon drinks are ready.

I've enjoyed a few of their specialty seasonal drinks but those have never become core menu items. I am talking some really great items like mango matcha's, strawberry matcha's, lavendar latte's etc that I have thoroughly enjoyed but their core menu is not something I ever want to order from. They have really great stuffed croissants but those are also seasonal! My office catered pastries from here once and I still think about the spinach and cheese croissant we had alll the time! I have never seen it in their case though. And while they are really great, ~$8 for a pastry is highway robbery. Parking here is very difficult and I think most people who come here live nearby enough to walk. You gotta hope to get lucky with some street parking as they have no designated parking areas. I've had several odd cashier interactions where I am met with blank stares and no dialogue as I order. Today took the cake, however. When I ordered, the cashier looked at me confused. I picked up their menu and pointed to the item one I wanted. The cashier had to come find me again after placing my order to confirm it again. They have a seasonal chai listed and 'can be made into a pumpkin chai by request.' There was confusion around it coming with a shot of espresso and because my stomach has been completely wrecked since I had it, I think the they must have put two shots into my drink. In the past 5 hours, I've used the restrooms 4 times and eventually projectile vomited. I don't drink coffee often and had this in ONE sitting. I realize this is a unique experience as I do not drink espresso often but wanted to share so you all understand how strong their coffee is and seeing as how its across SCU, it DOES make sense why so many people come here. Upset is the least of what I feel right now and can confidently share I will not be back. Shits fucked up. No pun intended

But the oat milk and the coffee were so smooth and luxurious that it made the experience enjoyable. Important note: with Mitsua market and the busy food areas there, this plaza gets incredibly busy! This is the drink we always order whenever we visit this place. We also tried the Double Matcha Melon Matcha, which was good, but I still preferred the guava matcha. My husband likes the Melon Matcha better though. The Vietnamese Coffee was very strong for me and on the less-sweet side. The Pandan Latte wasn't really for us either. It wasn't very sweet, and we didn't get much pandan flavor. We've definitely had better pandan lattes elsewhere.
